I've mentioned that there are four grades of weapons:

Blue grade

Green Grade

Purple Grade

Orange Grade

There are also ancient weapons that can be classified higher than Orange grade weapons.

Those are the legendary grade weapons. The reason for the higher ranking is because of the crafting technique, which inquires the methods of Soul extract. Ancient famous weapons are all crafted with Souls as the main material. It forms the fundamental form of the weapon and its durability. The stronger the Soul, the stronger the weapon will be.

These legendary weapons can additionally use elemental attacks, for example, a lightning strike if the Soul is from a lightning elemental beast.

Furthermore, the Souls used for the weapons can only be beast Soul that can be found in the Demon Realm and as for the blacksmith - one may require either a highly skilled class cultivator of the Elder Rank or a godly being.

After the grading - there will be all kinds of weapons appearing in the novel:

Melee Class: Swords, Daggers, and Longswords

Ranged Class: Bows and Guns

Nowadays, most mages stick with ranged weapons since it lowers the probability of being killed in the frontlines.

Guns have advanced faster than usual in the last years and the technological advancement of the Espers made it easier to use Guns without exhausting any magical power.

All weapons have a core inside them that determines and analyzes the body's magic power structure, then it uses the magic power in the air and compresses them into usable magic fuel for the weapon.

As for the elemental weapons - they are bound to the user to create the effect of elemental power.

The core of these weapons is also found in deeper areas of other realms than normal weapons cores.

There are all kinds of elements in the world of 'The Soul of Lucifer':

The basic elements consist of Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, and Metal - they are also the most common elements one will inherit after being born.

Still, special cases in 1:10000 appear and somebody can end up with the lightning element.

After reaching a certain level in cultivation, one can gain an additional element and with further training - even combine two elements in order to create a more difficult and stronger element, but that procedure requires a lot of skill, talent and a bit of luck, so one must have reached at least Master in ranking.
