The Story Of Dusk

The rattling noise of the leaves that blew away by the wind filled the deadly night and without the light of the moon, the night appeared darker than usual.

In one corner of the yard, a figure of man was standing under the lush tress, hiding within its shadow. He stood impatiently while sharpened his hearing to catch any sound from all directions.

"Sis…" The man came out into the light when he saw a woman was walking slowly toward him. "You are late…" He said grumpily the moment his sister approached him.

The woman was wearing a night blue gown and looked very thin, the man frowned when he realized his sister had lost weight again.

"Do you bring me my medicine?" Luna asked, ignoring her brother complained as she opened her palms. She looked unusually pale.

"Here." Gong Xu gave her a small bottle- gourd to her. "Are you alright?" He grabbed her cold hand as he carefully looked at his surroundings and when he was sure no guard was around, he urged her to sit on the bench. "Give me your hand."

Luna gave him her right hand, afterward Gong Xu checked her pulse attentively.

Recently she easily felt tired, ever since the incident in the palace and the Emperor stripped down Xiao Tianyao from the military, both of them had moved to this resort.

It had been a month and half, but along that time, there was no meaningful information that she could gather. Xiao Jun had cut off all the communication with Xiao Tianyao.

Xiao Tianyao also had never tried to find out about his brother situation in the kingdom of Rockstone.

Worse part was when Xiao Jun had just gone, somehow Xiao Tianyao put distance with her. Luna even could feel his suspicious toward her identity.

Fortunately she managed to sort the issue out before he could take another step to investigate her further.

Meanwhile, the pressure from the Emperor and her father were almost unbearable. They wanted result about what both brothers were planning, but nothing that she could do if they were separated in bad terms like this.

However, instead of taking things slowly, they were very eager to get rid of Xiao Jun by sending him to the Rockstone Kingdom, but still nagging her about more information.

"I feel so tired every time I controlled him." Luna referred to Xiao Tianyao, it was true, she felt lethargic after that and would sleep until noon. "My power weakening…" She murmured.

There was a time when Xiao Tianyao even didn't listen to her, from his eyes, Luna knew that she wouldn't be last for long time if she relied on her power alone.

Her sickness was getting worse.

"Gong Xu?" She called her brother as she looked at his brows knitted together tightly. "What happened? Tell me." Her voice grew unease.

"Sis…" Gong Xu raised his head and looked at Luna with wary eyes. "You are pregnant…" He whispered in disbelief.
