I was on my way to Saltin with the Faraes.

"Sartine's a nice town, so I'm sure you'll like it, too."

"Really? Looking forward to it."

That's what Faraes said on the way to town, and he talked to me.

"Sartine is the biggest town in this country... whoa, you don't even remember the country?

"Well, yes..."

I'm glad Faraes explains everything, but I'm sorry because he's lying about amnesia.

Be Faraes, maybe I can tell you the truth. But now there are Knights around. Let's see what happens around here, and we'll talk when we're alone.

"The world is known, well, to the Lord, to the seven great nations"

"Seven..."

"Well, it's not like there's no small country. But if you remember the Seven Kingdoms, you'll have no problem. So, the name of this country is Arstos. It's the third most developed country in the world."

"Heh..."

Somehow, I have come to understand the national circumstances of this world. If you don't remember something like this, it's gonna be hard to live in this world, so you have to listen carefully.

"When it comes to the Knights of the Sacred Way, the 4th and 5th squads protect us."

"What kind of a division is a fourth squad or something?

"Oh, I guess that's roughly like where you're protecting it. There are a lot of differences, but I think that's about as good an interpretation as that."

I see, how many squadrons are you talking about, where are you protecting? But then, new questions arise.

"Is the Knights something that goes across countries like that?

"Oh, the Knights are a coalition of nations. It was created jointly by the state to erode the world and fight demons."

You mean the Union of Nations, which seems pretty big. I'd say you're lucky to have such a large organization invite you.

"You know what a demon is? They're like beasts who attack people and vandalize crops."

"Oh, then, somehow"

There was such a thing in my world. That doesn't seem to change in this world.

"Hmm. They show up from nowhere and vandalize the land. I don't know what the hell is at its root... even if I can grasp it, I can end this fight..."

That's what Faraes says, makes me look sad. Looks like she has something to think about, too.

"Well, you don't have to worry about that. If there's a demon in front of you, I'll knock it down. That's the best you can do right now, isn't it? Then you should."

But somehow, it's going to be a dark atmosphere as it is, so I decided to call one here, even with words of encouragement. I don't have any difficulty, and if it's harmful, I just think I should take it down.

"... right. I'm sorry, I think I'm feeling weak."

"... nothing."

In my words, Faraes' face felt just a little brighter. Now, I wish I had encouraged you.

"Now, as we speak, it seems time to see Sartine. Look forward."

"Whoa! Is that an example town?"

He seemed to have come as close to town as he talked about it all that way. A few steps away, I see Sartine.

"When we get to town, we're headed to our base. Do you mind?

"Oh, sure."

In saying so, he had reached the front of the gate, which was the entrance. The gatekeeper stands, but if I think about it, can I go through normally?

I wondered, I decided to ask my neighbor Faraes.

"The gatekeeper, am I okay?

"Yeah? Yeah, you can keep it normal"

Faraes told me that in light condition. Then let's make it normal. I'm a little nervous, but the captain of the Knights says so, so it should be okay.

"Good luck!

I was ready, but the gatekeeper only said that to the knights with his head down. You should be in your eyes about me, too, but you seem to care a lot.

"It's with us. It's no problem."

"Oh, really..."

Faraes taught me that. Come to think of it, if you weren't with the Knights, it would have been tough. I have to thank you for this.

"... thanks for everything. I'm so glad to see you."

"What's the sudden matter?

I tried to thank him, but Faraes got a strange look on his face. Apparently, it's the wrong time.

Well, whatever it was, I was able to get into Sartine safely. In the meantime, shall we look around?

"I see, it's a big town..."

"I guess so. It's a good town, it's here."

The town is quite large, shops open everywhere and lots of people walk.

When the people of the town recognized the Knights, they were greeted with cheers and applause.

"You're popular..."

"Well, when it comes to the Knights, they're like heroes."

Faraes, saying so, was waving to respond to the people of the town. Well, it's protecting the town, so it's natural that it's popular. Especially if it's Faraes or Sona.

"As it is, will you walk a little more because I'm going to base?

"Oh, okay"

I was supposed to walk further from there to the Knights base. That's why me and Faraes go back to chatting.

"Speaking of which, what were the Faraes doing out of town?

So I decided to ask Faraes the question I had in mind.

"Oh, I was going on a demon crusade"

"Were you..."

"Well, it ended without any casualties in particular."

"Yeah? Wait..."

When I heard that story, I realized I had one.

"So when you made up your mind with me, it was after a fight...?

"Oh, no, I wasn't that tired because I was centered on command, was I?

"No, that's okay..."

Apparently, I was instantly killed by Faraes after the First World War. I know Faraes is stronger than I am, but don't get kind of sad when you hear that.

"Ah! This is where the Knights are based."

"Yeah? Oh, that's a big building..."

While we were walking around talking about that, we were reaching the Knights stronghold.

"Oh, let's just go inside"

That's what Faraes tells me, and I, along with the Knights, move my feet inside the building.

"Ooh..."

The building was also quite large, with knightly people walking everywhere. As I looked around, Faraes spoke to me.

"Okay, Slade. In the meantime, I think I'll have you come to the captain's office."

"Captain's office?

"Oh, well, I guess it's like my work room. Wait a minute, there's something I need to tell you."

"Oh, okay"

Faraes, who said so, stood before the Fourth Squad members. I didn't care so far, but the crew had a dark vibe about me.

"Well, everybody, good luck for now. You did a great job today. Let's keep doing this."

But in Faraes' words, the crew began to smile.

"However, there is still a sweet part to laughing without discerning Slade's prowess. Don't ever fail to work out."

But the next word darkened again. You're the easy ones to understand.

"Whatever it is, you did well today. Get some rest."

And finally, Faraes came here. Only Captain Boulder, it's clear.

"You kept me waiting. Shall we go?"

"Oh, oh."

When I went to Faraes, I lost so much, I arrived at the captain's office.

"Come on, come on in"

"Excuse me..."

"Come on, sit down"

Faraes, when he invites me in, prompts me to sit in the chair. There was no reason to say no, so I sat down and it was a great chair. The captain's office is the only boulder.

Faraes sat in the opposite chair after serving me tea.

"Well, let's have some tea, shall we?"

"Talk? You mean the exam?

"No, it's not... it's about you"

Saying so, Faraes smiled. What do you mean by me?

When I was thinking about it, Faraes kept my words going.

"You're not amnesiac, are you?

"What...?

"To the boulder, it was a little odd. If I may, I want you to tell me the truth."

"Huh? Oh, you know what?"

I see, were they discerning that? But that suggestion is what I was going to do. There won't be just the right opportunity.

"You were spotting..."

"Of course, it was very easy to understand, wasn't it?

Well, maybe so. I'm not good at acting.

"Still, I wanted to include you in the Knights. Your strength was fascinating. But you have to know the truth about the boulder. It's my responsibility."

"I see... ok. I was going to tell you, and you need to listen to me."

"Oh, of course."

That's how I was supposed to tell Faraes the story.
