Ch.176 Through the Back Door (3)

"Huh? No! No matter what, we're still considered ex-wife and ex-husband. It's not every day you see such a close relationship between divorcees, you know?"

Ji Xuan shot her a cold fake smile. "Is that so? But I'm worried people will call me a pedophile if I go with you, so just forget it."

Xiao Yu squinted at him and mumbled. "Petty."

Ji Xuan, "...Ungrateful fox, pedophile, petty, what else is there? Why don't you just give me everything in one go?"

"There's already so many, what else do you want? Baby daddy, please help your baby mommy!" Xiao Yu said.

In the end, Ji Xuan still couldn't hold back his laughter. "Let's go and take a look, then!"

And so, the two of them went down happily.

The PR department was on the fifth floor. When they arrived, the people in the department were all running around busily. When they saw Ji Xuan enter, some people who knew him were instantly dumbfounded.

"Pre pre pre pre...President Ji?"

Ji Xuan answered him calmly and asked, "Where's Manager Zheng?"

"Inside...for an interview."

Ji Xuan nodded. "I'll go and see him." Then, he headed straight into Manager Zheng's office.

Xiao Yu was right behind him, looking around the place. The environment in the company was very good. It was nice and sunny and everyone had their own cubicle. But the meeting room was near the windows, and there were a lot of tables and chairs placed randomly, so the whole atmosphere wasn't too depressing during a meeting.

And, at this time, Manager Zheng was holding Wei Jianhua's resume and frowning. "Which university are you from?"

Wei Jianhua blushed shamefully and said, "Beijing University. Actually, it's the Beijing University of Science and Technology. I'm from the Department of Journalism."

"Your department is very suitable with ours," Manager Zheng said.

Wei Jianhua smiled. Manager Zheng looked at his work experience and said, "You also have rich experience. I believe that you should be able to adapt quite well to this line of work. Only...Why did you decide to resign from your previous company?"

Wei Jianhua froze for a moment, but he still answered, "I wanted to find a job with more stable working hours."

So, Manager Zheng told him, "We also have hectic schedules when we get busy, too."

Wei Jianhua answered, "It's no problem, of course. If it's a requirement for work, then I should not be exempt."

Manager Zheng smiled and said, "Very good. You..." can come to work next week. However, the latter half of his sentence was interrupted by Ji Xuan who knocked on the door and entered.

When he saw Ji Xuan, Manager Zheng forgot everything he was going to say and quickly stood up. "President Ji, why have you come?"

Ji Xuan, "Just to take a look. I heard you were interviewing someone."

Manager Zheng, "..." Interview? Weren't you the one who introduced this guy?

So, Manager Zheng said, "The interview is almost over. Next...No, I mean. He can come to work tomorrow."

Wei Jianhua was stunned. He made a sound of surprise and said, "That, um...I need to go back and send in my resignation letter. It will take next week at the earliest." Wei Jianhua felt a little guilty when he said that. He was worried about making Manager Zheng unhappy if time dragged on.

But Manager Zheng merely glanced at Ji Xuan, who nodded. Manager Zheng immediately said to him in a good mood, "No problem! You can go back and hand it over to them first. We're ready for you whenever."

Wei Jianhua was overjoyed. He said, "Understood. Thank you!"

Normally, Manager Zheng didn't like drop-ins like these. Most of them didn't have any sort of capabilities and it was not too much to say that they were merely here for the salary.

For example, the second young master of the company, Ji Yan. He obviously has shares and more money than he can spend each year, and whenever he wanted to, he can even sponsor a little starlet or whatever. Still, he had to come in and take a title at the company as some manager or whatever.

He had no power but he still wanted to try and pressure others. Still, there was nothing he could say since that guy was the boss's son. However, he wasn't too fond of drop-ins like this with no big connections. Not only were they useless, they still like to wag their fingers.

So, when he heard that someone was dropped into their PR department, he really spat out a mouthful of blood.

Fortunately, he wasn't given much time to grieve before the person was brought in for the interview by Secretary Ben. But in the end, even though this guy's education was not too high, he actually had a lot of experience!
