Ch.44 Practice (1)

In fact, it wasn’t a piano, but an electronic piano used by the teachers to play for the children.

Xiao Yu touched the keyboard, and an indescribable feeling surged deep in her heart.

This wasn’t the first time Xiao Yu had come into contact with an electronic piano, but she never played one before. It wasn’t easy for Xiao Yu to fulfill the original owner’s wish.

“You should play for a while!” Ji Xuan helped her plug in the piano.

Xiao Yu stretched out her finger and pressed on it lightly twice, and the vivid sound of the electronic keyboard sounded.

Ji Xuan sat the two children on the side, Xiao Yu tried to play with both hands, her fingers dancing back and forth on the black and white piano keys.

Xiao Yu looked back at the three of them as she was playing, revealing a very gentle smile, white teeth, pink lips along with a beautiful arc.

Ji Xuan’s heart skipped a beat, he quickly turned around to look at the two children. Seeing that the two children were all looking at her obsessively, Ji Xuan could only helplessly smile.

In the children’s heart. their mother is almighty! Ji Xuan thought as he looked back, and saw that Xiao Yu was already playing seriously.

With the sound of the piano reaching its end, Xiao Yu gently removed both of her hands from the keyboard. The two children stood up and applauded, and shouted at the same time: “Mom’s so amazing, mom’s so amazing!”

Ji Xuan got up and walked past her, he unplugged the power plug, turned and pushed Xiao Yu out of the music hall.

“How was it?” Xiao Yu asked.

Ji Xuan lowered his head, and whispered as he looked at the bun on Xiao Yu’s head: “It’s not as good as before.”

Xiao Yu raised her hands and looked at Ben Zhenye and the teacher who was coming back through the cracks of her fingers, and said calmly, “It’s probably because my fingers aren’t that flexible anymore!”

“Yes!” Ji Xuan responded.

Ji Yu and Xiao Ruoguang said immediately: “You’re so amazing! You play very well.”

Ji Xuan felt that the melody seemed familiar, so he asked her: “What did you play just now?”

“Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, The Funeral March.” Xiao Yu said.

Ji Xuan smiled: “Yes, no wonder it sounded so familiar. When we just got together, you always played this piece.”

“Yes! However, the meaning behind them have changed.” Xiao Yu said. At that time, the two had just gotten together, Xiao Yu played for her dead parents. Now she played for the girl who left.

“Ji Xuan, buy me an electronic piano! I want to practice.” Xiao Yu looked back at the electronic piano and said softly. Xiao Yu didn’t plan for the recovery of her legs to be anytime soon. After all, she wouldn’t be able to clearly explain her speedy recovery.

If it wasn’t for her upper body that was also paralyzed that made it difficult for her to live her life, Xiao Yu didn’t want to recover as quickly.

“Okay.” Ji Xuan answered, he once loved Xiao Yu, otherwise Ji Yu wouldn’t have been born, even if their love only lasted for a few months.

He could still vaguely remember when his grandfather brought her to meet him, and they got married when she was 18 years old. The wedding reception was held for 3 days. Although the two didn’t apply for a marriage certificate, they still held a banquet and invited both of their family and relatives to attend, they were a recognized married couple.

At that time, he loved her. Later  on, they got the certificate. She received the certificate when she was 20 years old, but he no longer loved her.

From the day she was pregnant with Ji Yu, she began to alienate herself, and even after Ji Yu was born, she devoted herself to gambling. Ji Xuan didn’t know what kind of drastic change happened to Xiao Yu emotionally that year.

However, they separated when Ji Yu was only 2 years old. Now, Ji Xuan wasn’t sure if she could be a wife or mother.

After returning home, within two days, Ji Xuan sent someone to bring over the electronic keyboard. Xiao Yu still spends 15 minutes on rehabilitation every day until her upper body and hands are now fully recovered.

Xiao Yu stopped the rehabilitation on her lower body and started to brush up on her piano skills instead.
