Ch.69 Failure (1)

Xiao Yu’s life was both miserable and a total failure.

She failed as she ultimately failed to become the pianist her mother had hoped for her to become. She ended up as an unknown piano teacher. Also, in the end, she couldn’t bring her son back to the Ji family.

She’s so pitiful as she wasn’t as talented in piano as she dreamed of. Also, her last time meeting her parents before they passed away ended in a quarrel. She didn’t manage to find the murderer she suspected. When she finally let go of her dignity, she found that her husband had married another woman. Hence, she pitifully walked her way to death.

Regrettably, she stubbornly refused to let go of her self-esteem, no matter if she was right or wrong. She had never taken responsibility over her daughter. She knew that her stepmother wasn’t a good person but she had never done anything for her daughter, although she was paralyzed at that time.

The original owner died when Xiao Ruoguang was 6 years old, it was right when Xiao Ruoguang officially entered elementary school. After Xiao Ruoguang took care of her for three years, she died during Xiao Ruoguang’s first week in elementary school.

Xiao Ruoguang went back after school on a friday, he happily returned with his test paper which he scored full marks on. It was that day the original owner passed away.

After being paralyzed for 3 years, she still didn’t manage to survive. Before she left, she did have feelings for him, so she paid someone to look for Ji Xuan.

She knew that Ji Xuan had a new family, a new wife that her daughter liked very much. The woman was gentle and beautiful. Xiao Yu’s first instinct was that she couldn’t send Xiao Ruoguang back, probably because of her intuition as a woman! Xiao Ruoguang was then sent to an orphanage.

Xiao Yu rubbed the leather on her wheelchair and thought to herself, unfortunately, she transmigrated into her body.

No matter how big the mistake was, she could only endure through it. She’ll try her best to take up the responsibility that the original owner had chosen to give up on, which would be seen as repaying her for letting her use her body.

What’s more, Xiao Yu placed her hand on her chin and watched as Ji Xuan dazedly looked at the two children. Actually……this family isn’t all too bad and is actually very cute.

“Mom, why are you smiling?” Xiao Ruoguang suddenly turned and looked over at her.

Xiao Yu showed a gentle smile and said, “Oh, I’m smiling at my three silly darlings!”

Xiao Ruoguang was taken aback, he turned around and started counting: “1, 2, 3?” He first pointed to Ji Xuan, then Ji Yu, and finally himself.

Xiao Ruoguang seemed startled, and counted again: “1, 2, 3.”

Ji Xuan looked at Xiao Ruoguang speechlessly, he was about to comfort his son, that his mother was the silly one. Then, when he saw his son’s eyes suddenly brighten, he pointed at Ji Xuan and shouted: “1.”

Then pointed at Ji Yu and shouted: “2.”

Then pointed at the salesman and shouted: “3.”

He finally turned around happily and looked at Xiao Yu as he said, “Mom, there’s really three of them!”

Xiao Yu touched him and said, “What’s wrong, aren’t you part of our family?”

Xiao Ruoguang froze for a moment, and then said with much difficulty: “Then, then I’m a fool too!”

“Oh! My silly son.” Xiao Yu laughed and placed Xiao Ruoguang on her lap, she rested her head on top of his head and said: “How can such a big head be silly! You’re very smart!”

Xiao Ruoguang said happily, “Well, I am a smart baby.”

Xiao Yu hugged him, rested her chin on his head, smiled and said softly, “Of course you’re smart.”

Baby, you’ve worked hard all those years.

Ji Xuan watched the two of them lovingly talk to each other, even if there was a wheelchair that seemed rather odd in the scene, even if their mother was once so irresponsible. But now, looking at the woman in the wheelchair, holding their son with a gentle smile, the scene seemed like it was surrounded by soft light……How beautiful, a beautiful portrait of a mother and her child.
