A man in his early twenties with with red hair could be seen confronting a rather large beast. He had a a small, green leaf as substitution for cloth for his lower body, while his ripped upper body was completely b.a.r.e. The beast, on the hand, had thick, stubby limbs and a wide torso. It looked very similar to a bear, but its dagger-like teeth, made it look like extremely ferocious . It seemed as if it could rip anything apart with its teeth alone. The beast suddenly roared at the man and charged at him. Unexpectedly, the man also gave a roar and charged at it. This made the bear confused. Never had its prey done something like this before. They would often run away in fright, while it chased them down. Although it was a little startled, it simply thought the man became stupid after seeing its appearance. When it reached the man, the beast successfully bit into the mans's shoulder and tore a good amount of his flesh out. Feeling satisfied with its attack, it became even more ferocious and was about to bite the man's arm off when a sound made it stop for a second. Although its prey would often scream in pain, the type of scream that the man let out was extremely eerie. It was a scream that was mixed with p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and pain.

Before it could react, the man's expression turned a full 360 degrees, and threw a slap towards its face. The beast didn't really think too much about the the man's slap as it couldn't feel even a smudge of spiritual energy coming off of him. To onlookers, the man's lack of spiritual energy made him look like any other weak mortal. But when the punch landed on its face, it didn't have any time to feel shocked as its body was sent flying. After smashing through numerous trees, the beast fell to the ground and vomited a mouthful of blood. Staring at the mortal it couldn't help but feel even more shocked. From the shoulder of the man that it had ripped a decent amount of flesh off, was now perfectly healed. It couldn't believe what it saw. Only a few seconds had passed, but the man was back to normal. This caused the beast to feel fearful. Just one slap from a puny mortal and it was sent flying. Not only that but his regeneration was too astonishing. Even it couldn't heal that fast. Although it was only a mid body development spiritual beast, it was still much stronger than mortal cultivators with the same cultivation stage as it.

Alas, it was destined for this beast to become a stepping stone for our mc Feng Xiu. In a few seconds, Feng Xiu reappeared in front of the beast. "Shhh, everything's going to be okay now. I will never forget your sacrifice," the man said caringly while stroking the beast's head. The beast couldn't help but feel hatred and shiver towards the man's words. This made the beast cough up even more blood. Suddenly, another slap sounded out.

Feng Xiu didn't know how many times he slapped the beast before he heard the similar robotic voice go off in his head. Looking at the beast's terribly bloody, and deformed face, He couldn't help but feel like he may have overdone it. 'But than again, it couldn't be my fault right? If the system had given me some martial skills, this wouldn't have happened. Whatever, at least I finally reached lvl 5.'

For the past week, Feng Xiu had lost track of the number of beasts he had defeated in the same manner. He knew the number was at least in the thousands. Although he felt disgusted at first, after a while he started to go numb from all of it. During this period of time he was also able to reach lvl 4 and now he was lvl 5. After reaching lvl 4, the beasts in the first layer of the Abyssal forest became too weak and only gave him a miniscule amount of points, so he decided to go to the second layer. It was during this time, that Fang Xiu began accepting his m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.tic side. If he had only killed beasts, he would still be barely lvl 4. When he noticed that he could gain more points from getting injured, he didn't know how to respond. He decided to go in a corner of the forest and cry for a few days. When he reappeared he had a look of determination on his face. From that day on, Feng Xiu fought with his body, literally. However, he still felt lacking.

For the past week no matter what he did or how hard he tried, Feng Xiu couldn't gain any martial skills. He tried all sorts of things. He didn't believe his system at first and thought the system was trying to cheat him out of his points, but after countless unsuccessful attempts, he gave up. He eventually asked the system to show the martial skills he could purchase. When the system displayed the list of martial skills, Feng Xiu could only look in dismay. Even the cheapest martial skills costed over 20,000 System points. Since than, Feng Xiu could only beat monsters using barbaric fighting techniques.

Looking at his status menus again, he felt like it was going to take forever before he could act domineering. 'After killing thousands of beast, I was still only able to gain two levels. Two levels! Now the system is telling me I need 75,000 points to reach the next lvl!' After sighing for a few minutes, Feng Xiu became curious of the present he received.

'I guess this is one of those milestone gifts mc's get once they hit a certain level.' After thinking about it in this way, Feng Xiu became a little bit happier.
