I clench my fist and calm myself. 

Things aren't exactly out of my expectation but I need to turn to my last resort now. 

Ruisan looks back to notice Lena gone. She took advantage of me as a distraction and escaped.

"Hmm...whatever. I will meet her soon." Ruisan says.

He stares at the humans escaping. Most of the army has left Chael. 

"wait...what is this familiar feeling?" 

Ruisan looks around and widens his eyes. "That Samuel human is not dead?!" exclaims Ruisan.

With shivering arms, I load Jared's eerie black soul gem into the cartridge of the musket.

"Bullet hell," I mumble.

The muzzle starts to glow and statics of black electricity discharge around. I aim the musket at Ruisan.

Pulses of energy explode. The musket glows and cracks, the atmosphere darkens. Leaks of chilling black mana contaminate the air. 

"Stop!" Ruisan exclaims and appears before me, slashing my arms. But the trigger was pressed and the process cannot be stopped.

Six beams of darkness rupture from Chael into the sky, radiating a powerful shockwave of energy that blasts everything away. 

Nature is hurled like a catapult as the city vaporises into crumbles. Thousands of crying pain fill the "graveyard" as demons try to escape before dying to the inevitable blast. 

The ground ruptures and folds upwards replicating a huge crater. 

Even the sky is not spared as surrounding clouds expel away. 

The catastrophe resulted in nothing but destruction and death.

A hand pops out amid the snowy forest and pulls itself out, revealing the "zombie" to be Rena.

She looks around and notices most of the army has advanced into Chael. The few winged demons stay behind and observe the situation. 

Rena draws her sword and leaps on the branches before using them as a foothold to travel quickly. 

...

Her eyes twitch.

She notices a presence watching her. Immediately, she appears behind the spy and stabs him.

"UCK!? H-Hehe..." It's a demon with wings. Yet the demon smirks in the face of death.

Rena jumps back before four ruinous attacks plunge.

*BOOOM!* 

The dust clears up and reveals four other demons, three men and a woman. The demon that Rena stabbed groans as his wound rapidly recovers.

"Tch." Rena glares at them in annoyance.

Four of the demons leap at Rena. One goes for Rena's side with her long sharp claws and the other charge at her. 

Rena raises her sword to block the claws. The second demon gathers demonic energy in his hand. The third demon drops behind Rena with his sword drawn and the last demon leaps with double daggers in his hands.

In an attempt to overwhelm Rena, they coordinate their attacks one after another.

Rena deflects the woman away and plunges her sword into the ground. Rapid energy bursts from the sword and pushes every demon away. Her sword shines vividly with blue. Mana envelops Rena's body and her eyes glow. 

"What?" The female demon says.

In the blink of an eye, she emerges behind the female demon with her sword high up. 

"Huh-"

*BOOM!* 

A meteoric slash was enough to decapitate the female demon along with a crescent shockwave that blasts some rocks in a distance. 

"Damn it! Everyone attack at once!" 

The demons launch barrage after barrage of strikes as Rena elegantly dodges every.

A demon throws a vertical slash at Rena, demonic mana engulfs the sword and destroys anything it touches. 

"Ugh?" The demon holding the sword mumbles. His sight is suddenly rotated to the ground and he can see his headless body drops to its knees.

"Fuck! How is she so quick!?" 

The remaining demons glance at one another before nodding. They slam the snow beneath to create a cover as they escape. 

"Quick! The commander might be her only match! Run!"

Rena brings her sword up high. Moonlight Art third style, Sky Piercing Hurricane.

She soars into the sky and slashes down, sending a zooming downpour of frantic torrent energy at the demons.

The demons froze in fear and put up whatever defence they can but the hurricane shredded through. Their limbs twist and turn separating them from the torso. 

The three bodies then roll down the mountain leaving a blood trail. 

Rena descends and walks to the one demon still barely alive. She points her sword at him. "Where is the commander?" she asks.

The demon notices her plan and puts on a weak smile. "Ha...ha...the commander...advanced...with the army."

The demon's grin widens as Rena's jaw drops. "Everyone...is dead," he says before his last breath.

"No..." Rena mumbles.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!* 

Six beams of darkness shoot into the sky. The resulting shock wave ejects a tsunami of snow and Rena away.
