The Tale of Hero Alice’s Social Death

Chapter 53: Stop Giving Me Weapons

"Dammit… If I let a bastard like you continue existing…"

While Alice was pondering whether she should use her panties or not, Aird didn't remain idle. Although the War God's Lock had indeed sealed her right hand, Aird was different from Alice. Even without her right hand, she was still one of the Four Heavenly Kings.

Thus, Aird closed her left hand's index and middle fingers. Then, she pointed her left hand at Alice and made an upward flicking motion.

Immediately, a large stone spike burst out from the ground. Even though they were on the second floor, Aird had managed to forcibly summon a huge stone spike that was as thick as a century-old tree from the ground. Moreover, judging by the magic patterns that densely covered the stone spike's surface, this stone construct didn't seem like an ordinary stone spike, either. If this stone construct hit her, Alice did not doubt that it could kill her instantly. After all, the War God's Lock did not provide her any bonuses in Strength. Her physical body was still no different from that of an ordinary human girl.

Fortunately, the War God's Lock had given Alice 700 points in Mind. So, the instant Aird cast her magic, Alice had already noticed what was going on and crudely released all of the mana within her body.

There was no helping this situation. Alice didn't know any magic. She was like an ammunition warehouse filled with gunpowder and bullets but lacked any suitable firearms to utilize them. Hence, Alice's only solution was to ignite the gunpowder in her storage and call it a day.

Subsequently, as Alice released all 700 points of Mana she had received from the War God's Lock, a mana shockwave burst out from her body and pushed the rising stone spike out of its original trajectory.

How close…

Alice stumbled a few steps backward. When she saw the massive stone spike in front of her, she couldn't help but breathe out a sigh of relief. The room she currently occupied was the second largest room in Flaman's manor. It was larger than even a normal apartment. Even so, the stone spike Aird summoned had occupied nearly half of the room. The tip of the spike had even pierced through the ceiling.

If Alice hadn't released all of her mana just now, this stone spike might have already pierced through her body. Combined with the unknown effects of the stone spike's magic patterns, Alice doubted that she would have any chance of making a comeback.

"You actually released your mana in such a direct manner… It seems Flaman was right. You don't know how to use any magic, do you? The taboo you used to knock us unconscious before should only be an ability that came with the Demon King's Power, right?"

Aird tried moving her right hand and found that she could move it around again. War God's Lock's area of effect depended on the user's mana. Now that Alice had expended all of her mana, it meant that the War God's Lock that was under her control had begun to lose effect.

"I initially thought I could settle with just sealing you, but now it seems it'd be better if I just killed you instead," Aird said.

Alice's appearance had originally stimulated the compassion in Aird's heart. Thus, Aird had chosen to seal Alice before the girl grew up. However, the abilities Alice had displayed had completely surpassed Aird's expectations. Even until now, Aird still hadn't figured out how Alice had managed to steal control over her War God's Lock.

If Alice already possessed such strange abilities before she matured as the Demon King, she would only become even more dangerous once she grew up. Thus, Aird suppressed her compassion and prepared herself to kill Alice right here and now.

Subsequently, Aird flicked her left hand at Alice once more, her action causing the massive stone spike to agilely maneuver around like a snake and aim its tip at Alice.

"Now that you are out of mana, die!"

As soon as Aird finished speaking, the stone spike shot straight toward Alice. In Aird's opinion, now that Alice had run out of mana, the girl should have no way of resisting the stone spike.

"I might not know any magic, but aren't you gifting me one right now?"

Alice chuckled and shook her right hand, throwing away the War God's Lock she held. Meanwhile, at the same time as the War God's Lock parted with Alice's right hand, the seal on Aird's right hand was also lifted.

Then, amidst Aird's surprise, Alice stretched out both of her hands and tried to grab the oncoming stone spike!

With Alice's current strength, stopping such a massive stone spike wasn't a wise attempt. If everything proceeded normally, the magic patterns would repulse Alice's hands, and the stone spike would penetrate her body and tear it to shreds.

However, the instant Alice's hands made contact with the stone spike, something outside Aird's expectations happened. Instead of repulsing Alice's hands and tearing Alice's body to shreds, the stone spike abruptly halted the moment it came into contact with Alice's hands. Simultaneously, Aird also sensed that she had lost control over the stone spike.

[Weapon: Gaia's Spear]

[Quality: Legendary]

[Effect: Strength +1000, Control +500, Mana +500]

[Additional Effect:

Earth Destruction (Active Skill. Lock onto a target with your mana and pierce them, instantly destroying the target's body);

Mother Earth (Passive Skill. Your affinity with earth-attributed mana is increased to MAX. Your defense is also improved significantly);

Earthshaker (Passive Skill. Objects that come into contact with Gaia's Spear will suffer vibration damage.)]

"So this magic is called Gaia's Spear."

Under Aird's shocked gaze, Alice pulled out the stone spike named "Gaia's Spear" from the ground and gave it a few swings, her actions damaging the ceiling and walls around her.

"Not bad. It's the same quality as the War God's Lock. Don't tell me it's a taboo… No, that War God's Lock is a simplified version, so this Gaia's Spear should be weaker than a taboo…"

"You… What did you do?"

Aird was on the brink of suffering a mental collapse. She couldn't understand why or how Alice could unravel the spells she used. First, it was her simplified version of the War God's Lock. Now, Alice had stolen even her Gaia's Spear. Moreover, Alice had even lifted Gaia's Spear out of the ground and swung it around as if it were a primitive stone club. The old scholars researching magic would probably have a stroke if they saw Alice handling Gaia's Spear in such a manner.

"Probably the Demon King's privilege?"

Alice nodded and answered as such to Aird.
