The Stuart family’s eldest son and second son, George and William, and the Practical Skills of Hunters’ teacher appeared while pushing through the tall grass with a rustling sound. Their role was to pick the group up when the safety ahead had been secured.

“J-Just what on earth…?”

William gulped upon seeing a large number of monster carcasses around the king.

“What happened?! Is everyone alright?!”

The Practical Skills of Hunters’ teacher was also surprised.

However, the king didn’t stop smiling while wiping the blood spatter on his cheeks.

“A flock of monsters suddenly appeared, you see? But no need to worry! I have defeated them all without sparing even one.”

“This blood all over my body is the blood the monsters spurted. I didn’t get hurt anywhere, so rest easy,” added the king. In what world would the king be the only one covered in blood when he was accompanied by the hunters and knights?

“A-All this is done by Your Majesty?”

Unbelievable. George inquired with a trembling voice.

“Hm? Yeah, I’m more of a physically active type of person than I thought. Some of them have pretty hard bodies, but this level of toughness is still fine.”

‘Even if George is used to going hunting, he is still a 16-year-old youngster. Did I accidentally expose him to the mightiness of an adult man? I just hope he won’t lose confidence, though…’

The very moment when the king had such a thought, William, who understood various things, couldn’t hold it anymore and shouted,

In contrast to the king’s bright face, glowing with self-satisfaction for having defeated monsters, William looked dejected with his shoulders sagging.

‘How wasteful…’ thought the brothers.

They only needed a glance to confirm there were one-horned rabbits, hippopotamals, armored boars, etc., among the monsters’ bodies. All of those turn to waste in the hands of a layman (the king). Of all monsters, it was only the delicious ones or those that could be processed into highly-priced materials.

‘Even though no such high-quality monsters appeared when we went hunting the previous day and the day before that… Out of all the timing… why now…’ The brothers couldn’t help but lament.

The fur of the one-horned rabbits pitifully fell off and got stained with blood, and nothing left looked like it could be made into fur products.

Hippopotamals were a monster with excellent value whose whole body could be fully utilized. Their meat was delicious, and their skin could be used for carriage wheels. Even so… why did the king chop it so awfully?

Monster meat would lose freshness if exposed to air and become inedible, and the skin needed to be of a certain size to be useful. In its current condition, it could no longer be processed into meat or materials.

‘And, speaking of armored boar, of course, it’s gonna be steamed armored boar, right? That’s common sense, no?

Then why would you slash it from its belly?

Is there no part left that somehow can be used as a material?’ William searched around, but everything was in a state that could only be described as hopeless.

“Ahh, umm, this… Not just Emma, even anyone will cry at this, you know? I guess it’s good that Emma isn’t here right now…… Eh, oh.”
