Chapter 1 - Dye Red

When Liang Feifei woke up the next morning...or was it the next morning?

Liang Feifei almost jumped up in shock. There she was, wearing the 'basic armour' that was designed for new players. She immediately recognized the basic armour. It was her own armour! The design was so real, and the feeling of cloth against her skin was so surreal. Was this the game she designed? If so, why was she inside the game?

'There shouldn't be anything wrong with the game though,' Liang Feifei thought, 'well it's not time for that. Where am I?'

Before she could wonder about it more, a large black screen appeared in front of her. It started playing the World of Hyouka's backstory. Liang Feifei paid attention to the story. It was exactly the same as what she had programmed the day before...or just a few hours ago. Except, the scenery was much more realistic compared to the game's animation. The backstory was explaining about where the Beginner's Village was.

The new players would be sent immediately to the class' guilds in the Beginner's Village. Each player would be given 500 silver coins and a Beginner's quest item. Liang Feifei remembered each and every class in the game, so of course she would know what the quest item for each class was.

After the backstory finished playing, the screen turned black once more, before Liang Feifei's name was shown on the screen with a large welcome above it. Precisely as how she designed it.

[Please pick your name]

A keyboard appeared in front of Liang Feifei. With no hesitation at all, she directly chose her pen name.

[Dye Red]

[Confirm?]

"Confirm," Liang Feifei said.

[Welcome to The World of Hyouka Character Design interface Dye Red]

[Please choose a class and preferred weapon]

Liang Feifei, now Dye Red, had designed [preferred weapon] because she was planning on putting a 'class branch' after level 25. She added it after giving it some thought. Some other games had 'class branch' because some players liked to be more of a 'support' type player, some liked to be an 'offense' type player and some even liked to be an 'all rounder' type of player. With 'class branch' she could just divide the main classes into 8.

The public didn't know, but she actually hid a certain all rounder class amongst the 8. The class was called 'Elementalist', and why it was an all rounder? Well, because if someone worked hard to cultivate this class, one could improve the physical body, magical energy, and soul strength at the same time. As for now, a level 1 Elementalist couldn't hold a candle against other classes.

Unless the Elementalist was a really smart one.

Elementalists had two weapons of choice. One was a staff and the other was a pendant. Only if one chose the pendant would one be an all rounder Elementalist. But the pendant's power was significantly weaker than the staff. Dye Red had hid these features really well, so that only real pro-players could successfully cultivate a powerful elementalist. But who knew that she would be the 'pro-player' that would try this 'weak' class instead.

[Please assign your atributes]

Dye Red rubbed her forehead. Assigning atributes were very troublesome tasks, as these would determine how well she did in the first 5 levels of the game. This realistic looking game interface might also be a real life experience. If it was really her life, then she must treasure this only chance of hers.

Each player would receive 10 atribute points and they could distribute it to three atributes : Constitution, Intelligence, and Spirit. She contemplated for a while before giving 2 points to Constitution, 3 points to Intelligence and 5 points into Spirit. Then she clicked [confirm].

[Atribute points assigned, please wait for a while.]

And during this time, Dye Red felt her eyes blur as she fell into a deep sleep once again.
