The Treasure She Never Asked For

Chapter 100 - You'll Think I'm Crazy.

Marcel continued to casually chat with his viewers that he was finding to be very amusing. He answered a few more questions they made about the show he was taking part in before Alistair walked into their room.

Marcel turned to look at him and saw that he looked much calmer than he had been earlier, which gave him some relief. Since they were now in the same agency, he wouldn't want him to mess up just because of his feelings, though it was understandable since he was a hot-blooded young man.

"You're done?" Marcel asked him and Alistair nodded, and he started taking off his t-shirt to go take a shower. Marcel ignored his actions and went on to look at his phone screen where there was a mix of people asking him who he was talking to and whether that was his roommate on the show since not everyone was following up on the program, and other viewers had just clicked on the stream out of curiosity and ended up staying.

"It's my roommate," Marcel answered and laughed once he saw the responses of the audience. A lot of them started asking if they needed another roommate. It was unsurprising that a lot of such comments were from the female fans.

"You're all being silly. I should turn in now. I'll be busy tomorrow," Marcel said, but he became reluctant when so many people started asking him not to stop the stream. It had been almost an hour, and the viewers had risen to more than 300,000. He wasn't that popular yet, and it was already starting to get chaotic.

He continued interacting with his fans for a bit more and soon Alistair walked out of the closet with his pyjamas.

"Did you also start live streaming?" he asked him as he dried his hair with his towel. He remembered that not even a week ago Marcel was unfamiliar with it, yet now he was already doing it. It just showed how quick he was to learn.

"Mmmh, I understand why you do it so frequently," Marcel commented with a smile as he looked at the screaming comments on the barrage.

"I haven't done it in a while. My followers are probably lamenting," Alistair said with a laugh.

"They are lamenting on my stream," Marcel said with an amused smile, and Alistair walked towards him and peaked at his phone screen where the barrage got even crazier once the two handsome faces appeared together. One with long, slightly messy hair, the other with damp hair that was sticking to his forehead and cheeks.

[I have seen a similar scene before! I will never tire of it!]

[Am I the only one who still thinks that these two should just be a couple?]

[Hey! Upstairs, don't you know that I'm Alistair's wife? Why are you trying to give him another?]

"I ȧssure you that I would not be the wife," Marcel said playfully, and another round of screaming.

"I can also ȧssure you that I would definitely not be the wife either," Alistair said right after Marcel.

"So it's obvious that it's going to be impossible between us," Marcel finished, ruthlessly killing any chances of a CP forming.

"I see you are all tired. Your thinking patterns are being muddled by sleep. Goodnight everyone, until next time!" Marcel said and ended the broadcast without hesitation. He did not want to dig a pit for himself or Alistair. The fans weren't even given a chance to lament together, so they could only make a fuss and tag him on social media.

"Your fans are too wild," Marcel said to Alistair, who had already gone back to his bed and received a laugh in response.

"They pair me with everyone, but I know they will lose their minds if I'm actually with someone. It's okay if they attack me, but they would look for my partner and give them a hard time. That's why I haven't said anything about her," Alistair said.

"You sound like those idol friends of mine. I don't think I can manage those kinds of restrictions," Marcel said as he put his phone on the charger. .

"It's not like you are doing something wrong. I plan on acting in the future. If they expect me not to have a relationship, then I'll just have to disappoint them. How will I act like a person in love if I have never experienced it before?" Marcel thought out loud, and Alistair nodded in agreement. What he said did make sense.

However, the situation was different for him since his fans had been his source of income from the get go. His parents were against him joining this messy industry, so they had cut him off with the hopes that he would come back to his senses soon enough and go back home.

Fortunately, he had a lot of generous fans who generously donated on his live streams and bought sponsored items. So he got enough money to live very comfortably. So the relationship dynamic with his fans was very different. Now that he was signed to an agency, his dependence had reduced but wasn't completely eliminated, so he still felt that he had to be discrete.

"Don't worry too much. With your looks, it'll be harder not to have fans," Marcel said to him. Alistair still looked unconvinced.

"Now that you have a manager, they'll handle everything for you. Just be honest and communicate with them. You don't have to worry about your fans too much. There is a PR team backing you up. You aren't alone. You should just be careful about offending the agency," Marcel explained further.

Alistair didn't say anything, but understood what Marcel was saying to him. Marcel saw him think about it so seriously and couldn't stop himself from smiling. The boy was quite innocent.

"Just remember, you should have a bottom line. You shouldn't be a yes man all the time. Stay alert, or people will take advantage of you," Marcel cautioned. He always kept what the original owner had gone through in the back of his mind. He also couldn't forget how he had died because he was trying to protect himself from a lecherous fool!

"I'll keep that in mind," Alistair replied. That was what his parents had been worried about, so he couldn't forget about it.

"I'm going to sleep. I fear you'll ask to change rooms if I keep lecturing," Marcel said since he realised that he was becoming long winded.

"How do you know so much?" Alistair asked, as if he hadn't heard Marcel's previous words. He was baffled because he knew that the youngest person in the house was Marcel.

"I've experienced a lot. If I tell you about it, you'll think I'm crazy," Marcel said vaguely and pulled his covers to show that he was done talking.
