The Treasure She Never Asked For

Chapter 127 - Second Day.

Marcel ended up hitting the instructor a few times and was let go once he was satisfied. They touched up his hair and makeup and let him go back to filming.

The scene continued from where they left off and Michael stood up from his chair while casually swinging the baseball bat around. He had to coordinate his movements so that it looks like he was holding a heavy bat and not just a prop.

"I will tell you this again, just because you don't want to be ruthless, it doesn't mean others will hesitate," Michael said and kicked the man in the chair in his ċhėst. He had done as instructed and kept his movements big, but controlled the impact. The chair inevitably tipped over and the man helplessly fell to the floor.

"Set him straight," Michael ordered, and two people lifted the chair with the man still tied to it and righting it. The moment they stepped away from the man, Michael started whacking him with the bat.

The studio was filled with sounds of impact, followed by painful groans. Everyone was silent so as not to ruin the atmosphere. This is the mood that Lucia, the actress playing the main character, was met with when she left her dressing room. She had the rest of the day off since she had been filming for over forty hours.

At this moment, Michael, who had looked possessed, laughed loudly and passed the bat to one of his minions, before roughly grabbing the man's face and lifting it up so he could look at him. The man hissed in pain at his rough movements, but didn't dare to say anything when he saw Michael's expression.

"If you think that I will keep you alive if you don't talk, then you are right," Michael said.

"But I will make it so that you beg for death," he finished before releasing him. He walked to the group of men and wiped his bloody hand on a random person's shirt before taking a metal rod from one of them.

"CUT! That was perfect," the director said with a big smile. How he wished that all newcomers were like Marcel!

Marcel checked on the man he had been 'beating up' and left him alone when he confirmed that he was alright. Meanwhile, the actress who had stopped to observe the fracas continued to leave the set.

"Who is he?" Lucia asked her ȧssistant, who was trailing behind her.

"He is the one who will be playing your love interest," she answered carefully. Her boss had been very sėnsɨtɨvė after not eating and sleeping well, so they were even careful of not breathing too loudly.

"I've never seen him before," she commented as she got into her van.

"He is a newcomer," the ȧssistant added.

"It didn't look like it. No matter how talented, it is difficult to control your strength like that without experience," she said and closed her eyes. Her ȧssistant didn't say anything and let her rest. She felt it was good enough that it didn't seem like he would delay their filming.

She was just worried for the beautiful newcomer, who was going to have to act like he was madly in love with their cold-faced boss. It would be a true test of his acting skills.

With that Marcel was busy for the rest of the day shooting scenes with either his minions or superiors, the director thought they would take all night so he didn't call the actress who was going to be acting as his mother beforehand.

If he knew he was so good, they would have shot all they could tonight and wrapped up the following day, but from how it's looking, they'll finish shooting everything on Saturday.

The director milked Marcel for all he's worth and even shot the solo shots he was going to need for future scenes before wrapping up the shoot.

No one was happier than the staff that had been busy for the past two days. They were glad that Marcel was a better actor than they expected and even got them a break because of how he quickly finished his scenes.

"Okay! That's a wrap," the director said after reviewing the last scene. Everyone cheered with happiness before they started dealing with the equipment. Marcel, who had to change out of clothes, was led by his ȧssistant to the dressing room.  .

"Are you hungry? Should I make arrangements?" Lane asked Marcel who was having his make-up removed.

"No need. I have to take my clothes off tomorrow so I can't have just anything. I'll just fix something for myself when I get home," Marcel said and Lane nodded as he waited patiently for Marcel to finish with everything.

After Marcel changed back into his clothes and returned everything, the two of them finally left the set. Lane unlocked Marcel's van and opened the door for him before he got into the car and drove off.

Marcel reclined his chair and sighed as he relaxed his muscles. He hadn't worked out that morning, but with how vigorously he moved his body today, he managed to go beyond what he normally would have if he actually worked out.

Marcel pulled out his phone for the first time since that morning and saw that he had messages from both Alistair and Lauren, who were still at the house. He didn't open them first and checked the one he received from Adrian.

He had just been checking how the filming was going, so Marcel quickly replied to his message and since it was already so late, he wasn't expecting any replies. He then texted Alistair and Lauren before locking his phone and closing his eyes.

"Lane?" he called in the middle of the silent ride.

"Yes?" his ȧssistant replied.

"Remind me to call Liam tomorrow. It looks like I won't be able to bring him home this weekend," Marcel continued.

"Will do," Lane said, and the car was silent again. There was no traffic since it was so late, so it didn't take long for Marcel to get home.
