26. A man and a woman

My room.

This word, which means a room of one’s own, contains more meanings than one might think.

First of all, it really has the meaning of the room I use.

Aside from that, it also means a space where you can relax comfortably and a space of your own where there is no interference from others.

And the reason I emphasized the word ‘my room’ was simple.

“······Hey, Siwoo Lee.”

“····.”

“What are people doing there quietly?”

Because now ‘my room’ wasn’t ‘my room’.

‘······What nonsense is this.’

I said it, but it was a sentence that made no sense out of context.

My room is not my room.

Literally, what kind of bullsh*t is this?

After 20 years of living as a liberal arts student, the only thing I can say with certainty is that those two ‘my rooms’ have different meanings.

······It seemed that schizophrenia was coming.

Han Seo-ah said with a slightly reddened face as if she was dumbfounded.

“It’s not the first time you’ve slept with me. Why are you doing that?”

“····.”

I wasn’t wrong.

Since we’ve been together for a long time, it’s also true that I slept in the same room as Han Seo-ah when I went on a trip.

“······ Seriously, don’t you think then and now are the same?”

“····.”

It’s just that we didn’t consider mental and physical growth.

It is not for nothing that men and women are said to sit together at the age of seven.

When I was young, I probably did it without much thought, but I was at an age where I could develop emotions that I didn’t have now.

‘······It’s not that she doesn’t have feelings.’

Besides, both me and Hanseo-ah were in a very different state from the past when it comes to dealing with each other.

To call an older sister, to call an older brother.

A one-day couples experience you would never have imagined before.

Even if I just list what happened today, this is enough. If you can’t recognize the difference even after seeing this, there must be a problem with that person’s cognitive ability.

It meant that there was a big difference between the past when they were siblings in real life and now, when the atmosphere became unknown.

“So, are you ashamed? Are you conscious of me now?”

“····.”

Her face meant that she didn’t know how to deal with Han Seo-ah, who was speaking out proudly on the subject that was more red than anyone else.

Han Seo-ah continued her words with a dignified expression on her face.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re conscious or sleeping together, right?”

“No, even so, it makes sense that a girl sleeping in a 20-year-old boy’s room…”

“It’s funny, Lee Si-woo. I usually say that I’m more manly than Si-eun.”

[Now, one thing is certain. That Siwoo definitely thinks of me as a woman.]

“····.”

Why is the stream of consciousness the way it is?

At this rate, isn’t the reason why he suddenly wanted to sleep in the same room as me to confirm that?

Come to think of it, it’s clear that I’ve been treating Han Seo-ah like her real family.

As an older sister or younger sister rather than the opposite s*x.

A childhood friend who has known each other for a long time rather than a friend of the opposite s*x.

She showed everyone that she really considered Hanseo-ah like her family.

And, thinking about this, it wasn’t to the extent that I couldn’t understand Han Seo-ah’s inner thoughts.

Impatient.

When I inferred from the inner feelings of Seo-ah Han that I had witnessed so far, that was the feeling of impatience.

She is anxious that she does not appear to be of the opposite s*x at all.

An impatience that no matter what efforts or actions you make, the other person doesn’t think of you that way at all.

Maybe it wasn’t that kind of impatience.

From noble mtl dot com

“Anyway, Siwoo Lee should not be conscious, right?”

“······Yes. Think as you like.”

“What, I feel bad. What’s with that tone?”

“Go to sleep, fool.”

“What? Stupid? Do you really want to die?”

[·······

[Can I really think of Siwoo’s words the way I want to?]

Because it was such impatience, wouldn’t it be that he was showing me that kind of inner heart?

“······I went out for a while.”

“Where are you going?”

“Wait a minute, I’ll be right back.”

Thinking that way, I left the room and headed to her mother, who was still smiling.

“······Mom.”

“What’s up, son? Mum, can you decorate your room?”

“That’s fine, get some blankets.”

“Huh?”

“A spare blanket. There are more blankets at home.”

The reason, of course, is to get me a well-covered duvet.

I still haven’t fully accepted the idea of sleeping in the same room as Seoah Han, but I couldn’t even sleep in the same bed.

That’s really bad.

It might really awaken the slumbering instincts of humans.

My mother immediately frowned upon hearing my words.

“······Why do you need a futon?”

“······Do you think the bed would be too small for two people to sleep in?”

“Damn, I should have made a bigger bed.”

“······Mom?”

“It’s in the closet over there, so take the ramen.”

Is it just my misunderstanding that I think that my voice has become very brusque?

‘······That can’t be.’

Of course, it couldn’t have been an illusion.

If you look at the quotes I’ve heard so far, the worst was my mother.

It must have been said in the old saying that there are no parents who win over their children.

Why does my mother live her life teasing her son?

Those questions were filling up in my head.

“Son. Are you really going to sleep separately?”

“Why do you keep saying obvious things, mom?”

“······Ehh. It’s because my son I gave birth to isn’t this courageous.”

“····.”

Because I didn’t know what kind of nagging (?) I would hear if I expressed those questions.

“Son, I really don’t need anything else…”

“Ah! No need!”

I took out the blanket and pillow from the closet and went back to my room.

***

“······What is that?”

That was Seoah Han’s first reaction when she saw me carrying a blanket.

“Don’t you know when you look at it? A futon.”

“No, I’m asking because I don’t know that.”

“You wouldn’t sleep if I told you to sleep on the bare floor.”

“······Are you sure?”

“So you use the bed. I’ll sleep on the floor.”

“····.”

As soon as he heard my words, Han Seo-ah frowned as if it were natural.

Where did I see that?

I think my mother’s expression was like that just before.

Han Seo-ah muttered in a pitiful way.

“······Ha Nam-ja.”

“What is this?”

“I don’t know. I don’t talk to Man Man.”

[Lee Si-woo idiot. Do you really not know why I said I was going to sleep?]

Looking at Han Seo-ah’s twisted heart, I felt unfair for no reason.

What did I do?

I’m only guilty of letting him sleep in the bed.

······Perhaps.

In fact, to some extent, he was aware of Han Seo-ah’s intentions.

I’m not really stupid.

How can you not notice when you talk so openly?

Ah Seo Han I knew that she just wanted to sleep in the same bed as me.

“If you do that, you’ll get really into trouble.”

“······Something’s in trouble.”

“It’s because it’s me so I pass it like this, don’t do that to others.”

I was just worried.

I was only worried about Han Seo-ah, not myself.

No one can really predict what will happen.

After lying down together, in the same space, covering the same blanket.

Human beings are creatures that are more faithful to their instincts than they think.

Even if I’m making such a rational decision right now.

No one knew how things would change if that situation really came to pass.

Is there any reason to say that all men are wolves?

As I was thinking about that and practicing rationalization, I heard Han Seo-ah’s voice once again.

“Hey, you idiot.”

“····.”

“Siwoo Lee, are you really an idiot?”

Han Seo-ah’s icy voice that pricks me up.

“Do I look like a girl who wants to sleep with everyone in the same room?”

“······Judge, I never said that.”

“That’s how you talk right now.”

“····.”

Well, I had nothing to say.

Even if I think about it, it was a sentence that felt like admonishing Han Seo-ah unilaterally.

But I also had something to say.

“Sorry about that, but I can’t help it.”

“What. What can’t be helped.”

“We’re not dating. We’re just friends. How can we sleep in the same bed…”

“So? So, from what you’re saying, you mean you can sleep in the same bed while you’re dating?”

I tried to persuade Seo-ah Han with very logical expressions, but Seo-ah Han suddenly cut off my words with her eyes shining.

‘······Is that so?’

I had time to think about her Han Seo Ah’s question for a while.

Um. It’s not wrong.

If you’re dating, doesn’t it matter if you sleep together?

“······Well, wouldn’t it be? What if you’re dating?”

“Really? Siwoo Lee said it clearly with your mouth?”

“······Why, what is it? Why are you saying that uneasy.”

That was a very bad sign.

Bright eyes, a mischievous smile on his lips.

In addition to that, the act of raising the body after lying down until just now.

So far, the big data accumulated while I was Seo-ah Han’s childhood friend warned me that it was dangerous.

“It’s ten o’clock now.”

“Why is the time suddenly…”

“Do you remember that Siwoo Lee was supposed to be my boyfriend for the day?”

“····.”

“And you know there are still two hours left, right?”

“Hey, wait a minute.”

I could definitely say that.

It was the first time I’ve been living with Han Seo-ah, and I’ve never seen Han Seo-ah look so excited.

“Come up if you know. There are only two hours left.”

“····.”

It’s really damn good.
