The Universal Villain

The sudden attack on the HQ left the Soul Reapers, who were lucky enough to be out of the blast zone staggered. The location containing every single person at the top of their command chain just blew up from an attack they couldn't even track. Meanwhile, high in the air bursting through the collum of smoke rising into the sky, whistling could be heard as Shunsui, followed by the other captains, came into view as the smoke moved in the wind.

"Well, that was a close one." Thanks to Mayuri's device, giving them an early warning, they got out of the HQ before Shen's attack hit them. Looking down at the ground, Soi Fon had a frustrated look on her face as the captains disappeared one at a time not long after each of the captains reappeared on the ground below with Yamamoto arriving first.

"Well, I must admit he's quite lively." Speaking with a slight chuckle, Yamamoto stared into the distance as if he could already see Shen coming. Although all the captains had a different reaction to Shen's attack Mayuri, on the one hand, had a look ready to kill. After a stunt like that, it didn't take long for Shen to enter their view flying from the distance. Getting closer Shen also spotted the captains stopping not a long way away from them.

"Doesn't look like I hit any of you what a shame." Speaking openly in front of them, Shen stopped flying and floated down to the ground. "Still, it is good to see you all here or almost all of you." Moving his gaze through all eight captains, Shen stopped at Soi Fon, giving her a smirk, which caused her Reiatsu to spike. "I'll wipe that smirk off your f-"

Soi Fon cut her own words short as she felt a sinister bloodthirst pour out from Mayuri along with his Reiatsu. Turning her head to Mayuri, she saw he was removing his Zanpakuto from his Sheath. "Hey, we should move it looks like Mayuri snapped." Warning the others, Shunsui took a step back, appearing farther in the distance.

Looking at Mayuri, all the captains proceeded to do the same backing away as Mayuri spoke to Shen. "Hours of work and research gone... I was in such a rush that I didn't even get to save the blueprints. When I want to rebuild it, I'll have to start from scratch!" A crazed look shot through Mayuri's eyes as a smile widened. "But don't worry, I have a perfect way for you to pay me back."

The things Shen saw in these next few moments were the most disturbing things he had witnessed in his life. "Bankai, Claw Out Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo!" As Mayuri held his Zanpakuto partially out of its Sheath located in front of his torso, he activated his Bankai. A red a light accompanied the sound of a horn shout grew as something began to come into being.

Starting with the legs that began to pop out one by one, slamming themselves into the ground, an elongated body like a caterpillar formed itself. Following the body, a roar like a baby's cry echoed through the area as a yellow baby's head appeared breathing a purple haze with dead white eyes. Staring at this progress, Shen couldn't help but take a step back. 'That is horrifying...'

Shen had seen Mayuri's Bankai plenty of times, but looking at it in real life, he had truly understood the horrifying look everyone had when they saw it in the series. Looking at Shen's horrified face, Mayuri spoke again as Ashisogi Jizo stood behind him. "You seem very interested in my Bankai how about I give you a closer look." Hearing Mayuri's offer, Shen put on a smile and replied. "I think ill pass."

As if letting Shen's words pass through his mind, Mayuri's crazed look changed as he spoke a straightforward word. "Go." With that Ashisogi Jizo rushed over Mayuri straight towards Shen destroying the ground, he ran on, leaving a trail in the earth. Watching this figure charge towards him, Shen had a thought. 'Holy...'

Quickly putting a barrier of Ki around his body, Shen put both of his arms as Ashisogi Jizo crashed into him. With the power and weight behind it carried Shen as it ran through the Seireitei, making twists and turns slamming Shen through dozens of structures. The other captains could be seen watching from a distance. "His Bankai is just as powerful as ever, isn't it." Ukitake spoke as he witnessed Shen being forced back.

Nodding Komamura spoke as well. "However, it seems he does have some knowledge about our Bankai's. From the looks of it, he has put up a barrier to stop its poison from entering his body." As Ashisogi Jizo continued to carry Shen through the Seiretei Shen, found his physical strength alone was not enough to stop it. However, even so, Shen felt he was in no danger with his barrier being more than enough to block Ashisogi Jizo's poison and the buildings he was being smashed through.

However, suddenly a golden light began to shine in front of Ashisogi Jizo like a star. "First Hand." Stretching out of the fading light, a golden hand raised itself in the sky before chopping down ontop of Ashisogi Jizo's head. The amount of force from this attack Ashisogi Jizo to let out a cry as the ground underneath was crushed. A wave rippled through its body as its long body rose and fell.

"What is that." Witnessing Shen's stop his Bankai with a single attack, Mayuri froze in shock as his eyes widened. "He never used an ability like that in his fight against me." Looking at the golden statue in the distance towering over Ashisogi Jizo Soi Fon recalled their fight. "Looks like they are having lots of fun." Smiling, Kenpachi kept tapping his Zanpakuto against his shoulders as if he anxious to join in.

"Is it possible he was holding back in your fight?" Retsu said as she watched calmly. However, Shinsui dispelled that notion when he spoke. "Although I wasn't there for his fight with Soi Fon, he was on death's door when we fought him. I doubt he would hide an ability like this to that extent. It's more likely that this ability is new." Listening to Shunsui closely, Komamura asked. "What do you mean new?"

Lowering his head, Shinsui spoke in a severe tone. "What if along with getting stronger, he also gains an ability every time he takes the power of a Zanpakuto." This theory was one Shinsui didn't even want to consider. From their understanding, Shen could turn his skin into armor strong enough to block Zanpakuto swung by a captain as well as has a certain amount of control when it comes to lightning. And of course, his most used power the ability to conjure and control NRB.

These abilities alone gave him the strength to fight against three captains at once in a weakened state. If he got an ability like this from Renji's Zanpakuto, then the risk that came from Shen capturing two captains was even higher. The more they dug into Shen's powers, the more he dangerous everything he became. Lowering his head, the Head Captains spoke with a deep meaning echoing in his tone.
