The Universal Villain

Looking at Shen standing before them, the captains each had a unique expression on their face. They had passed out shortly after breaking their Zanpakuto as Shen fought the Head Captain. Also, because of this, they were unaware of what had happened to the Siereitei or of the death of Head Captain Yamamoto.

As they each glared at Shen, he was relaxed as he spoke. "You can glare at me all you want you won't be breaking out of those." Hinting at the Ki that was trapping them Shen was confident he would be able to restrain them using that alone. A single Level was enough to make him stronger than his former self even if it didn't look like much after levelling up over three times in a row there was no way the captains could break free.

"Now I haven't woken you all up just so we could talk so I'll cut straight to the point. Before you have two options one-stop blocking, halting your Zanpakuto's regeneration or two, we do things the hard way." Shen's tone of voice turned deeper as he mentioned the second option clearly indicating it would be unpleasant, to say the least.

Hearing Shen Shunsui was the first one to speak with a calm tone. "Oh, I'm afraid we're not going to be doing that. Though I am interested in this second option, what about you guys." Addressing the other captains, Soi Fon spoke up as she looked down at Shen with a grin. "Yes, I want to see what you could possibly do to make us do anything."

"Hehe, either way, it doesn't matter to me." Replying to Shen with a smile Kenpachi didn't care what happened to his Zanapktuo in actuality. Speaking after the others, Komamura said what every captain there meant in simple terms. "We refuse to yield to someone like you." No matter what Shen planned to do with them to make them talk, if they really did allow their Zanpakuto to regenerate, then they would die. Listening to them, Shen could tell they had no intention of cooperating.

"Well, a response like that is to be expected. However, I'm afraid some of you here don't have that luxury." Turning his gaze to Byakuya and Hitsugaya Shen then turned his gaze to their Zanpakuto which were still intact. "You two didn't get the chance to shatter your Zanpakuto's like them is why you've been so quiet." The moment Shen's attention shifted to the two of them, their faces turned grim.

They were both defeated before the main battle began meaning they could never have known about the countermeasures for Shen to stop him breaking into their Zanpakuto's inner world. "In any case, I gave you all a chance, so don't blame me for being rough." Activating his Mangekyou Sharingan Shen began thinking back. When he was fighting against Yamamoto, he already knew what he was going to do to the captains.

He would make a specific nightmare that would slowly break down each Captains will and make them go through it multiple times. In their powerless states the captains didn't know what hit them as one by one they fell unconscious falling into their own personal hells concocted by Shen. In a few seconds both Byakuya and Hitsugaya bore witness to each of the captains suddenly falling silent leaving only the two of them conscious.

"What did you do to them!" Looking down at Shen, Hitsugaya didn't know what Shen had done, but he couldn't help but notice the change in his eyes. Almost if not all the captains have seen Shen's Sharingan but during a battle, they couldn't be bothered to ask about his eyes changing colour.

But now that Shen was looking at both Byakuya and Hitsugaya they could feel this strange pressure as if they were a book and Shen was reading through them. "Nothing I just put them to sleep, although what they are experiencing is less than pleasant trust me." Turning his attention to the ever silent Byakuya Shen could tell he knew what was coming next.

"Well no matter what, consider yourself lucky or unlucky Hitsugaya. I'll be using Byakuya's Zanpakuto instead of yours, so you get to live at least a little longer." No matter what Byakuya was the better choice when it comes to completing the task at hand. "What?" Hearing Shen was picking Byakuya as his choice he wanted to say something before Shen shot him a glance causing him to fall unconscious like the rest.

Looking at Byakuya's Senbonzakura, he heard him speak for the first time since waking back up. "Do your worst." Staring at Shen with a solemn look Byakuya seemed to have prepared himself for whatever would happen next. "Maybe it's just irony, but I find it funny how the captain will go down like their Lieutenant."

As his Mangekyou Sharingan began to rotate, Byakuya felt a sudden burst of pressure as something began breaking into his soul. 'What is this feeling.' As Byakuya felt the pressure increase more and more, he could hear his Zanpakuto shaking as if some invisible force was causing it to vibrate.

Switching views back in the Human World Ichigo could be seen flying over the ruined Katakura Town. His face looked lackl.u.s.tre as he flew closer to the edges of the Town in his Shikai he was heading to where he and his friends agreed to meetup.

Flying down to the ground, Ichigo could see Orihime and the others waiting for him in an abandoned construction site. They agreed to meet here within a couple of hours, depending on how long the fight lasted when Shen. Of course, they had no idea what had truly happened. Landing on the ground lightly, everyone turned their heads to Ichigo.

"Ichigo! Your back already, how did it go." Rushing up to Ichigo it was only after getting closer did they finally notice how down he was. They had never seen Ichigo look so broken and defeated before to the point he couldn't even look at them. Speaking quietly Ichigo spoke as he tightened his fist. "We lost…"

"Huh?" Hearing Ichigo whisper something Chad spoke to Ichigo. "What was that Ichigo we couldn't hear you." Gritting his teeth, Ichigo raised his voice as his spiritual pressure rose. "We lost!" A wave of dust was kicked up as he raised his voice showing his frustration clearly. "He almost killed Yorucihi he took Urahara, and my dad is nowhere to be found I couldn't even find Rukia after searching the area."

Hearing Ichigo, his friends felt as though they must have misheard him. But just from his expression, he could tell they did indeed lose. "Well, Ichigo no matter what we can cant give up we could always tr-" Trying to comfort Ichigo Orihime was interrupted by Ichigo as he yelled.

"What Orihime! What can we do? He could be halfway around the world by now or in another dimension, and we wouldn't be able to tell! Everyone is gone, and Katakura Town is destroyed!" Hearing Ichigo snap at Orihime Uryu placed his hand on Ichigo's shoulder and spoke. "Hey Ichigo you don't have to lash out at Orihime like that, she was just trying to help."

Hearing Uryu Ichigo turned to Orihime with a strange expression as he sighed to himself. "I'm sorry I just don't know what to do." Listening to Ichigo, they could understand. No matter what they always had a plan or objective to get through it. They would fight and win because they had to but now even with Ichigo and the others trying their hardest they lost hopelessly. The thought caused them all to go silent until suddenly a voice could be heard.

"Well, it looks like you have quite a situation on your hands Ichigo." Standing in the air with his Zanpakuto placed over his shoulders, a man with blonde hair and sharp eyes could be seen looking at Ichigo with a strange smile. "I have a proposition for you."
