"What, why? We did nothing wrong."

Both me and my twin were highly confused, it was the first day. I got into one fight, with an old bully nonetheless.

Why would people already want to fight us, Laxy did nothing wrong. No fights, no arguments, nor any trashing talking. Me? I guess since I bet up like 7 or 8 different upperclassmen.

We walked home still wondering why we are targeted. Lily only said, "Its because of your genes." We didn't get it. If its genes, then won't Lily be targeted, too?

When we got home, our parents weren't there. Lily went to her room, Laxy went into the kitchen, and I went out into the backyard.

I just sat in a lawnchair, and enjoyed the garden.

We had a huge tree with a tire swing attached, a pool, a grill area, and a garden.

'Sy how is this world different from Earth'

'Well Jaxson many things change. Like the species or the magic levels in the air or even the fact that there are kingdoms'

I toke a moment to think. In Atlas, there is magic. Half human half animal people. There are kingdoms. Royalty. Tech is more advanced.

In all honesty, I was kinda disappointed that the armies didn't use swords, but got over it. After all, this world had more futuristic tech then Earth. It would be sad if the didn't use guns.

'Sy do you know the reason Xena gave you to me'

'I can give a notification that you wish to speak to her'

'Then please do so'

''Affirmative, I will send it now'

I have some ideas why Xena gave me Sy. I wonder what the your age has to be to enter the Military here?

"....why would you send me here, Xena...."

"Why would who send you where?"

In a instant, I bolted out of my seat, wondering how Laxy got behind me without me noticing.

"What? What do you mean, when did you get here?"

"Just now, I saw you out here then heard you mumble something about someone." I looked a little shocked, was I....that...distracted in my own thoughts..?

"So, back to my question. Why would who send who where?" I froze.

I have never frozen before from a question in years, so why was I frozen now?
