The Very Best

Zed opened his eyes and found himself standing in a grassy plain. As he further examines his surrounding, Zed noticed trees, flowers and bushes surround him.

"Am I in a forest, I was hoping God transported me to a populated place. But, oh well. I can stroll around for a while and breathe some fresh air."

Zed was about to walk and felt someone was pulling the edge of his pants. He looked to catch who the culprit was and see a cute looking creature.

Zed was startled, even though he just came to this world he encountered a pokemon immediately. He was worried because most Pokemon were wild, but this one is smiling at him. He sighed in relief and kneeled to match its eyes.

"How cute of you. What kind of Pokemon is this? If I have a Pokedex, is that what they call it? I could have examined what this Pokemon is."

The creature closed his eyes and smiled, letting Zed pat its head. Zed just laughed at it because of how cute it is. Then as he focused at the creature and wanted to find what kind of Pokemon it is. Something enters his mind and immediately knows what kind of Pokemon it was.

[Froakie, an amphibious creature that resembles a frog. It has cyan blue skin covering most of its body, and a scarf-like collar of frothy white bubbles known as Frubbles around its neck. Zed was amazed an thought to himself. `Is this one of the blessings God mentioned earlier?"

Then again, he noticed a ring in his right hand inserted in his ring finger.

"Did God gave me this as well? Is this a magical Item? Wait, what if I try to focus on it like what I did to Froakie." Then, he tried, and Zed's consciousness was focused on the ring.

Zed was amazed by what he sees. They are paper-like money with a Pokemon Dollar written on it. Then, he familiarized and saw Poke-Balls and Great balls. He thanked God in his mind for a head start and returned to the physical world.

Froakie was still staring at him, Zed then asked, but he was not sure if Froakie may understand it.

"Hey little one, want to become my first ever pokemon?" Froakie then nodded swiftly and smiled.

Zed then withdraw a Pokeball, he was about to toss it to Froakie, but Froakie voluntarily presses the Pokeball. The Pokeball sway twice then beep sounded with a followed by a red flash. It notified that Froakie was successfully captured.

"Good, this is great!" Zed was happy, the dream he wanted when he was still a child. And he captured a pokemon at that. Pleased by the result, he called Froakie out again.

Froakie: Froa! Froakie!

"No matter how I look at it, real-life or animated. A Pokemon really is cute. But maybe others are not."

Zed then looked at Froakie then thought. `Can I check the capabilities of my Pokemon?" As Zed focused on it. A transparent projector board appeared in front of him.

"I don't know if Froakie's status is great or not, but I remembered God said the Pokemons that I will own are powerful than others. This is the best!"

Zed glanced at Froakie then asked it.

"Froakie, are there any other Pokemons living here or near to us?" Froakie pointed to a direction, Zed nodded and asked Froakie to take the lead.

As they walk for minutes, they encountered A small, quadruped rodent Pokemon. It has purple fur with a cream-coloured face, paws, and underbelly. It has narrow, red eyes, rounded ears with cream-coloured insides, and a single whisker on each cheek. Its long tail is tightly curled at the end. Its most notable feature is its large teeth. Like most rodents.

Zed noticed this Pokemon as it was always seen in the very first series.

It was a Ratata. It looked very aggressive as it stared at them.

Zed then glanced at Froakie, then Froakie nodded and positioned itself in front of Zed.

"My very first pokemon battle. Let us see how strong you are Froakie. Now, use quick attack!"

Froakie then rushed at its target at a breakneck speed that makes it almost invisible. The move always strikes first, so Zed didn't have to worry and also the Ratata looks weak and inexperienced when it comes to battling.

Ratata then countered using tackle, a physical attack in which it uses its own body to charge and slams into the target with its whole body.

As they meet head-on, Froakie sent Ratata flying towards a tree. When Zed noticed it, he realized Froakie is a broken Pokemon. Their levels look the same, but because of God altering his Pokemons, Zed has a higher advantage in this world.

Ratata was still not defeated as it landed to the ground, slowly raised its body and glared at Froakie with reddish eyes. But Zed did not give up at this opportunity and started to attack again.

"Now Froakie, use bubble! Then follow up with pound!"

While charging, Froakie then sprayed countless bubbles, Froakie aimed accurately towards Ratata. This move may also lower a Pokemon speed stats.

Ratata was hit and tried to counter, but Froakie uses its forelegs to pound at Ratata which resulted in Ratata to fly a few distances. Then, Ratata fainted.

Zed felt sorry for as he carried it and made it rest in a comfortable grassy field.

Then both of them left.

"With this, I will be the very best!" Zed then motioned a punch to the sky and declaring to become the very best!
