The boat traveled, and in a blink of an eye, they arrived at Shamouti Island's port. Zed gathered so much attention inside the ship. Many women admire his looks and introduced themselves while men were looking at him enviously.

Some even know him when he saved the Sensational sisters in Cerulean city at that time. Also, yet he was not a champion nor a celebrity. Many people asked him for autographs and Pictures.

Zed then entered the city and notice something was different. The locals dress up in traditional attire, apparently for historical purposes, and the younger generations were greeting the tourist who got off from the sh.i.p.s that arrived.

Zed separated from the group of people that was toured by the tour guide. Sightseeing around, Zed felt that he is in Hawaii a place on Earth, it felt nostalgic for him, he shook his head and removed the thought of missing the world where he came from.

`Maybe today is annual legend festival.` Zed thought in his mind.

The annual legend festival. For centuries, the locals in Shamouti Island have performed a ceremony honoring the prophesied Chosen One that would tame the birds of legend and release their might to show the world how powerful they are.

In the past years, no one has gained the title of being the Chosen One, but the locals continued to celebrate because they believed one day this Chosen one would come.

The Chosen one doesn't need to live in Shamouti Island. Some may be living in other regions, and some may be from the tourists, and some may be adventuring around.

"What are the people doing there?"

Zed found a crowd on the beach, as he looked closer, trainers have some exhibition battles. Many tourists were cheering while taking videos and pictures. Zed got bored because the ceremony will start in the evening, so he called out his Pokemons.

"Do you want to participate?" Zed asked his Pokemons. Braixen the looked at the crowd then smiled haughtily.

"I will show them how beautiful I am." She said while her palm was touching her c.h.e.s.t. Zed shook his head and grinned at her actions.

Zed then went to a tent where the registration area is.

"I would like to participate," Zed said and smiled at the receptionist. The tan and busty receptionist went in a daze staring at him. Her cheeks reddened as her eyes stared at his.

A few seconds later, she made a fake cough and regained her calm. She pushed a paper and a pen towards Zed.

"You may register here. Write your name and I will give you your number. You can sit over there and wait for your Opponent." She said and returned a smile at him. Zed recognized who she was. She is one of Nurse Joy's.

Finish registering, Zed then sat on a chair and wait for his Opponent.

`The gazed again... Sigh.` He thought in his mind.

Finally, the announcer called his name.

"Our next participants! From Saffron City! We welcome! Trainer Marky!" A young man appeared as he waved to the crowd. It seems like he is famous because many people cheered at him.

"And his Opponent! From Pallet town. Trainer Zed!" The crowd went for a pause.

"He was the one in Cerulean, right?"

"Oh my! His hot and handsome! Please marry me!"

Some people know him, and some started to mumble nonsense words. He sighed and walked towards the center. The referee then told them the rules.

"Each trainer is allowed to change Pokemons, and both of you can only use three Pokemons as well. Ready? Go!"

Marky threw a Pokeball and yelled. "Blastoise! Go!"

A turtle-like Pokemon with two cannons on its shell appeared. As it entered the stage, it roared to gather the attention of the people and released an intimidating aura. Zed then took his Pokeball to fight.

"Dartrix, your up. Go easy on this battle, okay?" Dartrix nodded and walked cutely at the center with a smile at its face while her eyes closed.

"You're underestimating me... Blastoise Rapid spin." Marky commanded.

Blastoise then entered in his shell and performed a spin launching towards Dartrix. Without waiting for Zed's command, Dartrix charged and used Steel-Wing. Her wings started to shine like steel and hit Blastoise's shell. Both of them bounced back the moment they collided.

"So much power from that small body, eh? But I'm not done yet. Blastoise, use water pulse!" Marky ordered, pulsing water fired from the cannon on his back as it aimed towards Dartrix.

Dartrix flew to the sky and waiting for something to happen. The water pulse did not reach her because of how high she flew. Then she performed a free fall as she tucked her wings from a low altitude. Her eyes reddened as she cried a cute but yet terrifying yell from the sky.

The spectators looked at hir with amazed eyes as to how a small body can bring pressure to the ground while falling from the sky.

"Blastoise, use water pulse again!" Marky yelled, then Blastoise started to fire again.

The water pulse approached Dartrix, but the moment it almost reaches her, the water pulse divided as if giving way from the charging Avian bird.

Dartrix used Brave bird, and a few seconds later, her body impacted to Blastoise. A massive blast resounded the surroundings while the sands of the beach darted from different directions.

A cloud of smoke covered the stage, then a few seconds later, the smoke dissipate, and a figure of a small bird standing gloriously to a body of a large Pokemon is seen with a smile on its face.

While the crowd was still silent, Dartrix walked towards Zed as it leaped towards him while snuggling his c.h.e.s.t. Zed then complimented her while patting her head.

"You became more powerful. I told you to take it easy, but..." Zed glanced at the surroundings and sighed. He then looked to the referee and said. "The battle is finish."

The referee announced the winner, but Marky forfeited. The silent atmosphere came to normal when the referee declared. The spectators started to clap and congratulate Zed.

Marty and Zed shook hands and went to separate ways. A few hours later.

"It's already evening, huh... The ceremony is about to start."

Zed looked at the dark sky and marched towards the shrine that is facing the three Islands.

`Tonight, I feel like something might happen.` Zed thought and resumed to walk where the shrine is...
