Chapter 7 Part 2 : A Declaration Of War

This is my third time attempting this and looks like somehow unconsciously my body has adapted to this ritual as well.

This time it took less than a second.

And now….

The cute  little dragon transformed into a bona fide Red Dragon

“Wah!!”

The Marquis of Wolfe was astonished when he saw it.

“This is …….”

“What do you think?”

“What monstrosity is this!?”

Hahaha behold the mighty Red Dragon my Eva!! 

The Marquis of Wolfe was clueless and gramps explained what had happened yesterday.

The Marquis of Wolfe was already aware of the story about how my grandfather took the Egg away from the emperor, but that’s where the story began, And then he told him that I had given the dragon egg my magic power which resulted it to accelerate it’s growth process resulting it to hatch in mere  seconds.

“Nonsense, I’ve never heard of such a thing.”

“Of course not. That’s totally understandable, If Mateo does something , most of the time it’s unheard of.”

“Hmmph..”

The Marquis of Wolff snorted.

“I’m sure you’ll now be able to understand just how great my Mateo is compared to that granddaughter of your”

“GUNUNUNU”

Suddenly I noticed Eva Staring at the Marquis annoyingly

“Hmph. Can it even do something else than growing big”

“What?”

“Can’t it do something else?”

“Hmm. What do you think, Mateo?”

…… Hey, Eva, what else can you do?

　I left the talking to Eva

I’ve been going through the library since this morning and the only book I’ve found on Red Dragons is a novel.

I was not satisfied with my knowledge of the Red Dragon, so I thought it best to leave it to her and let her do things instinctively

Then Eva gave a small nod.

She turned around and looked in an empty space above.

Then she flapped her wings and flew up a few meters – right after that.

She let out a mouthful of flames..

The spiraling flames flew downwards at an angle and burned the ground in the garden.

Just before this, there was a beautiful lawn of a well-kept garden, but now it had turned into bright red lava bubbling up.

It was such a overkill that I wanted to mutter to myself, “It’s a hellscape.”

“This is insane”

“It’s only natural for a red dragon to do this.”

No!. I can’t believe how submissive this red dragon is to your Mateo!

“Ha-ha-ha. You’re so impressed.”

Grandpa was pleased.

“That’s Mateo for you.”

“Kuh…….”

While the Marquis was in a dejected state, Eva returned to her original cute form.

Seems like the amount of time she can remain in her colossal form depends on the amount of power she uses.

If she just stays in her original form or moves around, or she doesn’t use much power,then she can stay in her original form for a long time, but if she spits out flames like she did now, she will run out of power soon.

I patted Eva as if to praise her, and then said to the astonished Marquis                                                                                                          

“It’s not that I’m great, It’s just that I was lucky enough to have Eva with me”

“…….”

the marquis gasped for some reason 

No, why mmmm there?　–But then gramps said something unnecessary.

“Now tell me . Can your granddaughter do this?”

“……”

The Marquis of Wolfe twisted his face in vexation..

“You’ll never know until you meet each other in person.”

“Hmm, if you insist, that’s fine.”

“Hmph”

Haah they’ll never change

The Marquis of Wolfe’s reaction is now in the realm of “sore loser”. 

“It’s a shame, but I’m sure my Lynn will win.”

“What do you mean? It’s clear that Matteo is the better one”

“It’s not just that. It’s amazing that no matter how much you dote on her, she never acts spoilt!”

“It’s the same with Matteo.”

“Let’s compete …….”

“All right, let’s play. The winner is the one who dote’s on his grandkid and does not make him worse.”

“Yes!”

They walked out of the room with great enthusiasm.

They left the room in high spirits, declaring that they would dote on their grandchildren even more 

But then it hit me..

“Dote on me even more?!”
