It had been about half a month since Gu Xiyu had officially moved into the Admiral’s mansion, and during this time, he was sleeping in the same bedroom as Wen Yu. Wen Yu didn’t find it strange, and he didn’t feel uncomfortable as he was already familiar with the Great Demon’s breath. It was just that Wen Yu first met him as a tiger rabbit and, at times, would ask him to turn back into his furry form before he went to sleep to serve as a little pillow to warm his bed and comforter.

The sad thing was that Wen Yu’s risk value had barely changed in this period of time, only dropping by two points.

He wasn’t sure even how these two points had come about. He first tried the same method he uses on Ji Chen and Lu Ziqing, through small daily details and attentions, but Wen Yu had accepted them readily but had not shown much joy—in short, he had not really touched him.

Instead, one afternoon, while wandering around the ground-floor corridor of the house, he saw Wen Yu sitting alone at the white-carved table in the back garden, staring down at the tabletop in thought.

A yellow and black butterfly rested on the table, and next to it lay quietly a pink and purple flower that looked like it had just been plucked. The butterfly was probably attracted by the flower, rubbing back and forth against the stamen, its large wings opening and closing gently.

Gu Xiyu stood by the window and looked out wordlessly. It was rare for Wen Yu’s face to be devoid of the light smile that usually hung on it, and his whole face looked cold and indifferent, as if he would indulge himself and disappear in the next moment. There was a very faint light in his eyes, yet they seemed very hollow, inexplicably giving off a sense of suffocating loneliness.

Then he went over, plucked another flower, and placed it on the edge of the original one without disturbing the butterfly.

“Why are you out?” The sun outside was actually scorching, and Gu Xiyu didn’t like the feeling of too much burning heat, something Wen Yu seemed to know.

He actually didn’t know why he had walked out, it was obvious that Wen Yu was just resting, not doing anything that would affect the world’s plot or the main protagonist.

He thought for a moment and truthfully said, “I wanted to come out, so I came out.”

He just thought he should do it.

At his words, Wen Yu smiled, and after a long silence, he suddenly said, “I thought you were familiar the first time I saw you.”

“It felt like we met a long time ago.” Wen Yu said, the smile on his lips fading, “But I can’t remember when or how.”

This feeling of something blocking his heart and having nowhere to go was very unpleasant and uncomfortable.

“Don’t think about it if you can’t remember.” In Gu Xiyu’s understanding, he and the Great Demon of this world have never met, but of course he couldn’t rule out whether the original owner and the other party had ever crossed paths.

The other flower Gu Xiyu put on the table attracted another butterfly. It had blue-black wings and a very beautiful pattern. It rested on the table, just staring at the first one.

Gu Xi Yu added, “At least we’re together now, aren’t we?”

When Wen Yu turned to look at Gu Xiyu, he was looking down at the tablet he had carried over in his hand. He was probably so bored from being ‘imprisoned’ in the mansion that he was like an internet addict, reading all day long.

The two butterflies on the table were getting along very well, and after picking pollen, they flew away in unison with a flap of their wings, keeping each other company from then on.

Wen Yu’s eyes fell on Gu Xiyu, feeling the aura he emanated, and the familiarity he had felt when he first saw him rose again.

It seemed like a long time ago when he had gazed at him from a distance and at a similar angle. This man didn’t need to do or say anything; as long as he quietly stayed by his side, he would be able to clear his mind of his anger.

[[Target’s risk value is -2; the current risk value is 53.]]

Gu Xiyu heard the system’s automatic notification, and he looked up at Wen Yu, his gaze slightly suspicious. However, the other party only tilted his head to the side, facing the flower garden not far away and admiring the colorful scenery. There was a slight curve to the corners of his lips, and there was a light, gentle smile in his eyes.

The gloom and depression Wen Yu was giving off earlier were gone.

Gu Xiyu felt that the Great Demon must have a particular fetish for kissing.

It was clear in this world that he was an alien with no concept of emotions and was even more unaware of the deep meaning of intimacy, but this guy could gradually become addicted to kissing.

Ever since Wen Yu realized that he was underage and could not complete the task of mating between partners, he started kissing him without restriction. He would pin him down on the bed and kiss him for at least half an hour.

The target was like a gifted player, from the beginning, when he only knew how to give light pecks, to learning how to coax him into opening his mouth, to now taking advantage of his daze to go deeper.

In the bedroom, the big TV that had fooled Gu Xiyu was hanging down again, and a movie that Wen Yu had casually opened was playing. The plot was mainly about relationships, gathering all sorts of dog-blood situations and conflicts.

Gu Xiyu’s body was sensitive even in this world, and he was somewhat unable to resist Wen Yu’s increasingly aggressive attacks. After Wen Yu’s hand rubbed the skin on his neck until it turned red, he suddenly released him, his eyes serious and suspicious as he asked, “Did I hurt you?”

Gu Xiyu’s head was still in the familiar state of oxygen deprivation, and he felt a little confused by his question.

He then heard Wen Yu ask, “Why did you make a sound?”

Having been in a relationship for two lifetimes, this was the first time Gu Xiyu had been asked such a blunt question.

He froze for half a day and also chose to answer very bluntly, “Because it feels good.”

“So that’s how it is.” Wen Yu responded, his fingertips brushing against his somewhat red and swollen lips a few times before he said with a low smile, “I feel good too.”

He was beginning to understand why every species in this world was eager to find a mate; it turned out that there were many other pleasurable things to do when you’re two.

Wen Yu was still in a good mood, and after releasing Gu Xi Yu, he told him, “I already have news of Lu Feng. I happen to have an errand for the royal palace near the said location tomorrow; I will try to bring him back then.”

Gu Xiyu lay down with mixed feelings.

It was getting late, and both of them were going to rest, so Wen Yu picked up the remote control and prepared to turn off the TV.

The movie plot came to a small breaking point.

The female lead in it was arguing hysterically with her ex-boyfriend: “Please get your situation straight; I was your fiancé, but what did you do to me then?”

“You sent another man to me, threw all your responsibilities on him, ignored me, spent every day out on the town flirting with female colleagues, and made the world laugh at my expense! What? You sent me such a handsome guy; why wouldn’t I want to just talk to him and remain in a platonic relationship just for a fool like you? And now you have the nerve to call me a slag and say I’m a green tea bitch?”

“I’m sorry, I’m not a saint, let alone trash that can accommodate all the scum. The man you gave me is so nice, gentle, and considerate. He is mature and stable, and most importantly, he still makes me happy and respects me. If I don’t break off my engagement with you, should I keep it for the Tomb Sweeping Festival?”

Wen Yu’s hand, which was holding the remote control, suddenly paused, and he didn’t turn the TV off.

There was always a feeling that something wasn’t quite right.
