It had been quite the shitty day for Lady Melissa and it hadn't even been 10 AM yet!She took her etiquette lessons and swordsmanship lessons much earlier than usual, that probably was the reason for her looking so sleep-deprived and tired right now.

It didn't help either since Lady Melissa couldn't even sleep!She was too excited for tomorrow, she ended up staying awake for the whole night.

Then it turned into Lady Melissa overthinking about the meeting with Duke Gaston Mieth and she turned anxious and scared in the next few hours of staying up.

That was probably due to the lack of sleep she didn't get, Lady Melissa was truly unmotivated today.

Her cheerful and bright attitude wasn't there and she just wanted the day to quickly end so she could jump into her cozy bed and sleep for the rest of the day.

To make up for the fact that she stayed up all night and didn't even sleep a wink.

And because of that she had overthink about everything that might happen with her meeting with Duke Gaston later on in the day.

Lady Melissa had initially been happy and scared about her meeting with Duke Gaston but she was more excited than scared to meet him.

Now it was just the opposite, Lady Melissa was more scared than excited to meet Duke Gaston.

'No, I shouldn't be thinking of such negative things.Be positive Melissa!'

Melissa roughly slapped her cheeks, she shouldn't be thinking so negatively right now!After all it hadn't even been 10 AM.

She should've saved all that negative things for the night, not in the morning when it hadn't even been 10 AM yet.

Speaking of which she had a new teacher that would arrive to teach her today, because her previous history teacher had belittled her.

Her past history teacher would often make negative remarks about Lady Melissa's looks and intelligence and even her attitude sometimes.

Which had greatly lowered down Lady Melissa's self esteem in her past life.

But she wasn't as scared as she was in her past life, so the negative remarks and rude comments about her appearance, attitude and etc though those negative comments and rude remarks didn't really have an effect on Lady Melissa.

Lady Melissa however was still very much annoyed at her history teacher, though she didn't want to let her parents know about the incident as she would feel bad.

She had grown closer to her parents in the past few weeks but Lady Melissa didn't want them to feel like she was a burden, so she decided to take things on her own.

Lady Melissa would set her history teacher up and her parents, Lady Melissa would make sure to make rude remarks to her history teacher to provoke her, and ask her parents to come to her room during history lesson.

Nobody had known that Lady Melissa was being made fun of or belittled during her history lessons, not even Lady Melissa's own maid, Sophia.

Lady Melissa had always done most of her lessons alone in her room, with no one else other than herself and her lesson teachers.

She felt more comfortable with that as she wasn't quite comfortable with people staring at her while she was studying.

And Lady Melissa had learnt better on one on one teaching sessions with her teachers, unlike many other nobles.

There was actually quite a number of people who had usually studied with other nobles, Lady Melissa was just simply one of them.

Perhaps it was due to the fact she was raised alone, with no friends and she wasn't close to any of the servants,maids or even her parents.

Though now Lady Melissa could proudly say she had improved from that stage of introvert,sure she would admit she was still an introvert but it was way less.

Lady Melissa would consider herself as an ambivert, and an extrovert during times that it was absolutely necessary.

But Lady Melissa still wanted to be alone during times, to be able to keep her thoughts to herself and to have all the peace and quiet in the world.

Besides she doubted she would be able to study well with other people, she would probably get easily distracted by the other nobles' conversation's.

Though learning with other nobles would be quite useful for her since she would find out about all the gossip that was going on, she wasn't ready to face meeting new people.

Lady Melissa had like a social battery that would run out if she talked to too many people or interacted with too many people, Lady Melissa would usually charge up her social battery again by sleeping, or eating some desserts or even practicing some of her swordsmanship skills.

After all, practice makes perfect.

Besides Lady Melissa's swordsmanship skills were nowhere as near as how they were in her past life, though she seldom practiced swordsmanship.

When she did she would practice for hours at end, using all her energy to practice swordsmanship.

Swordsmanship was also one of Lady Melissa's favourite ways to express her feelings, if she was sad she would practice swordsmanship, if she was mad she would practice swordsmanship, if she was happy she would still practice swordsmanship.

No matter how Lady Melissa was feeling she made an effort to practice swordsmanship every day, even if that meant using her break or lunch time when she had a busy schedule.

The effort Lady Melissa had put into swordsmanship in Lady Melissa's second life was quite admirable and both her parents and teachers were actually quite shocked seeing how much effort she had put into swordsmanship.

Although her swordsmanship teached Duchess Ella didn't show it, she was very much proud of her student's achievements and effort.

Duchess Ella had initially thought Lady Melissa was like other noblewomen, only learning swordsmanship because of a hobby or perhaps because her parents had forced her to.

But after teaching Lady Melissa swordsmanship for a few days she found out she was completely wrong about her thoughts on Lady Melissa.

It had been a long time since Duchess Ella had ever seen a person as hard-working as her learning swordsmanship.

And boy Duchess Ella was proud of her student, Lady Melissa.
