The Villainous Emperor Is My Pet?

My brother continues to talk to his girlfriend. Obviously, he is using me as an excuse. I wonder if Marie is an idiot. Why would she even pick up her ex's call unless she is interested in him? 

Am I interested in Raymond?

I don't want to go so low. Cheaters should never be taken back. They are like disgusting skin lice. And how could I take back someone whose d.i.c.k has been in anything with a hole? 

Let's say that he has changed. So, what?

"Tch!"

Perhaps, I am lonely and horny. I hate Dante. Damn it! He didn't even let me f.u.c.k Alphonse. What the hell was wrong with him? Why do I always like f.u.c.k boys? I want to go back in that book and stomp on his d.i.c.k. Because of him, I am horny now!!!

"Take a deep breath, Savina." I inhale and exhale. "You are alive. You are back to your family. You can see dead dogs, and your ex-boyfriend wants back. Oh, and you are jobless during the pandemic, but you think that you should think about the two most horrible men in the world."

"Don't think about them then." A woman's voice interrupts me. 

"It's not that easy," I snap at the woman at the TV. Wait! Why am I talking to my TV?

Then, I realize what's odd about the TV screen. The woman has her back toward me, and the screen is frozen. That's fine: glitches happen, the screen gets stuck sometimes. But the odd part is that the woman's face is also in my direction. 

So, both her back and her head are toward me. She is smiling brightly, showing her pristine white teeth.

Creepy…

The woman blinks her eyes once. 

I scream, "KYLE! THERE IS A GHOST IN OUR TV!"

"I am not a ghost," The woman says as she lifts her arms backwards. Her hands begin to pop out of the screen. She speaks in a high voice, "But I am here to kill you."

"What the f.u.c.k!!!" I run to the switch and pull off the TV plug. The TV screen turns black and the hands disappear. That doesn't make me feel safe. I grab the TV and toss it on the floor. The screen is not completely broken. I look around for something -- anything that can be used as a weapon. There is a metallic vase that my mother got as an heirloom. I pick it up and hurl it on the TV screen. 

It does the job.

My brother returns. The phone is still in his hand.

"Where were you?" I bellow at him. "There was a f.u.c.k.i.n.g ghost on the TV."

My brother raises his brow. "Vina, are you high?"

"F.u.c.k.i.n.g ghost wanted to kill me!" I point at the TV. "I can't believe this shit."

"I can't believe it either." He creases his forehead. "This feels like a horror movie."

"It's f.u.c.k.i.n.g horror, Kyle." I know that I am not acting like an a.d.u.l.t. F.u.c.k it! There is no such thing as an a.d.u.l.t. We are all pretending to be what we think how an a.d.u.l.t should act like. Anyway, I have a right to freak out. "I don't want to die."

I am too young to die. What have I done in my life? Besides, if I die this young, my beauty will go to waste. I want to survive this damn pandemic, and get married. I want to start a family. 

"You are going to die, Vina," Kyle tells me solemnly. "You are going to die a horrible death."

I widen my eyes. Is my brother also possessed?

"That" -- he glances at the vase that is slightly scratched -- "Mother is going to use it to bash your head open."

Beads of sweat roll down on my head. "A family heirloom can't be more important than me."

"It is." He gives me a look. "You also broke our vintage TV."

"I have a good reason." I kick the vintage TV. My mother likes to collect vintage stuff. I have no love for vintage items, but vintage makeup and clothes are okay occasionally. "Hey, am I too old to be an influencer?"

"What's an influencer?" My brother frowns at me. "Are you talking about those teenagers who like to post on social media?"

"Yeah." I blink my eyes. "I can show off my makeup skills."

"I know that you are desperate, but…" Kyle looks at his phone. "Marie hanged up. I have to apologize to her."

"Why?" I scowl at him. "Are you my brother? Your sister almost got killed by a TV ghost."

"You seem fine enough." He gives me a judging look. "After destroying our TV and the antique vase, you are talking about becoming an influencer. For all I know, you might roam around the city with a video camera."

"We all need money." I shrug. "And the ghost is gone."

"I am not cleaning this up." He walks away, tapping his phone. I am sure that he is going to call Marie.

"Ugh!" 

I kick the TV. Maybe I should call Harvey. Too many weird things are happening.

After I am done cleaning up, I pick up the vase and study the scratch. Maybe my mother will not notice it if I keep the scratched side toward the wall. 

Then, I will just say that I have no idea how it happened.

Hopefully, Kyle won't snitch.

It's already late. I don't go to my room because I think that a sister should spend a lot of time with her younger brother. It's not that I am scared. I mean, why would I be scared? 

My brother is making pasta in the kitchen. He seems to be happy about something. I don't have to be a psychiatrist to guess that he is going to meet Marie soon. 

Men are fools when they are in love. Please note: when they are in love. 

When they are not, they are absolute jerks.

And some will say that they are a jerk because they are in love.

Please, that's nonsense. If you can't treat the person you love well, is it love? 

I don't know why I think about unimportant things so much. I nearly got killed by a TV ghost.

It's time to call Harvey and demand answers. 

He picks up the call after the first ring.

[Savina, did something happen?]

How does he know? He sounds calm. "Harvey, there was a f.u.c.k.i.n.g ghost on my TV."

[A ghost? -- Ah, they are acting now.]

What the f.u.c.k is he saying?

[Savina, I will come to visit you tonight. Don't open the door for anyone else but me, even if it's someone you know.]

The doorbell rings at the same time.

"Marie is here!" My brother yells as he rushes toward the door. "My darling loves me."

"This idiot!!!" I click my tongue. "What's so exciting?"

Just then, I hear Harvey's enraged voice. 

[Savina, stop him from opening the door!!!]
