The Void Between Universes

"So boy why had you been running in my mountains in the last few days" the woman said while still keeping her smile.

"That has nothing to do with you" I said and then I summoned another hundred swords.

It was then that the thing said:

"Boy you better be careful she's a high level immortality ascending" the thing said.

Hearing his words calmed me down a little, even though the fallen stars technique was a great technique and it let me fight opponent of higher levels that usually depends on the way I use it, fighting a higher level opponent while angry was never a good idea.

Breathing a big breath and controlling the swords that were in front of me to my side I said to the woman:

"My name is Alex Hunter; can you tell me your name first?"

"You control you feeling quit well, anyway my name is Rikka Trikson nice to meet you" she said with that same smile on her face.

Change of P.O.V Rikka:

I was flying toward the place where I felt life while thinking about that feeling that I had in the last few days.

It was the feeling of a pulse of energy; at first I wasn't able to feel it clearly so I didn't care, but after some time passing and I started getting that feeling more and more I knew that someone was searching for something.

Even though the array that my master left wasn't able to detect anything I was still sure that someone was out there and because of the existence of the orphanage I had to take a look.

After searching in the mountains for two days I finally found him, he wasn't that old probably 21 or 22 but his cultivation was at the late stage of limit breaking something that you can't get in that age without a huge backing or a great cultivation talent.

He also had that aura around him he seemed like a demonic beast waiting to be released he didn't seem to be like those flowers in the big clans that only know how to cultivate.

Seeing all of that I got interested in him so I took out a dagger from my dimaspace bag it was just a normal dagger it wasn't going to do much damage to him but at least he won't be able to run when it hit him.

I aimed at his lag and throw the dagger, the chance of someone at the late stage of limit breaking to dodge that was small but he did it.

"To think that a limit breaking cultivator can dodge my dagger" I said and started moving toward the dagger and as I did I lifted my head and saw that the boy was pointing a sword at me no half a sword actually with rust and cracks all over its body seeing that sword I couldn't stop myself from smiling and I said:

"Come on boy do you really want to fight me using that"

But that boy didn't response at all, I just felt a great pulse of spiritual power and then a hundred gigantic swords come out of nowhere.

"Ok that's tricky" I said that and I meant it.

I did fight before with people that could control flying swords to fight some could even control thousand of them but it was my first time seeing someone controlling swords that big not to mention that he created them from nothing, I also wasn't able to sense which material they were made of.

But even with that it was just a one hundred sword controlled by some limit breaking cultivator, it wasn't something that can make me afraid so I said:

"So boy why had you been running in my mountain in the last few days"

"That has nothing to do with you" he said.

From his behavior and voice I knew that he was mad probably because he didn't find what he had been searching for.

I was going to say something but he summoned another hundred sword which finally made me feel pressured, just as I was getting ready for a fight the swords that were in front of him moved to his side and he took a big breath before saying:

"My name is Alex hunter, can you tell me your name first"

"You control you feeling quit well, anyway my name is Rikka Trikson nice to meet you" I was really impressed for someone in his age and with his power to control his feeling this well was something to be proud of usually people like him that have great power at such a younger age can get arrogant but he wasn't which gave me a good impression of him.

"So Alex what are you searching for" I asked him while returning my dagger to the bag, as Alex didn't know that the dagger wasn't my mine weapon and I didn't want him to be on guard because of it.

"I'm searching for someone" even though he tried to hide it when he said that I saw a deep sadness in his eyes.

"Sorry no one came to this mountain in the last three months and all those that came here before that are gone already" I said while shaking my head, I really wanted to help but I couldn't.

"No the one that I'm searching for is still here that's I'm sure of, please try remembering she's a girl the same age as me she have black hair and black eyes she probably came here before five years ago" he said confidently.

Hearing his words I knew exactly who he was searching for, it had been already five years since I met Emily for the first time so when he said that he was searching for someone I didn't think of her, but hearing his description of I knew that he meant her.

"Five years is a long time, say boy do you know her name" even though I was pretty sure that he was talking about Emily I wanted to make sure that he really meant her.

"...Emily her name is Emily" he said after hesitating for a while.

"...Before that can I ask you something" I kept silent for a while thinking about what I should do before I asked him.

I think that he knew that I knew something as he grabbed the hilt of his sword tightly and said:

"Ok ask"

"Do you know about a place called earth" I asked him that as I wanted to know if he was from the same place as Emily or if he at least knows of the place that Emily came from.

As soon as I finished my words all the swords that were floating in the air fall to the ground with a loud sound.

"Where is Emily" he shouted

Alex seemed surprised as he heard what I said and he just stood there frozen but as the swords fall to the ground his body shock and he shouted as he re-summoned four hundred swords.

When I saw him like that I brought my sword from my dimaspace bag, and said:

"Alex calm down if we fight none of us will win anything"

As I said that I released my pressure and not just some of it but all of it, because the feeling that Alex was giving me wasn't something that a limit breaking cultivator would give it made even me worry.

Change of P.O.V Alex:

"Where is Emily" I shouted my voice was as cold as it could be.

The thing said that no one knows about earth, so Rikka asking me about earth could only mean that she knew something about Emily and knowing that I just couldn't stop myself from acting a little rush.

Seeing me like that Rikka pulled a sword from her dimaspace bag, it was two meter long and ten centimeter wide sword it's blade was red and in its hilt there was a red shining ruby.

"Alex calm down if we fight none of us will win anything" she said while holding her sword and releasing all her pressure.

Just from that pressure I knew that if we fought even if I won I was going to pay a heavy price so I looked at her and said:

"Where is Emily, you need to know that this will be the last time that I'll ask you politely so you better not waste it"

"You seem concerned about her so I think that it's alright if you want to see her, follow me"

As she said that she turned around and started flying.

Jumping on one of my swords and controlling it to follow her I kept a distant of twenty meters between us.

I controlled another forty swords to make something like a box while I was inside it, the swords summoned by using the fallen stars technique are the hardest material I had ever seen so by doing that and following her I knew that nothing was going to happened to me.

We flow for a more than an hour before we made it to a lake.

As we stopped in the shore of the lake Rikka pulled a ring from her dimaspace bag and after channeling some spiritual power through it the ring started shining brightly, and it released a beam of light that shot to the centre of the lake.

As it made it there it seemed as if it get absorbed by something and after a few seconds an island appeared in the centre of the lake, because of the fallen stars technique I was able to feel everything that was in a radius of ten km around me so I was able to see that island clearly, the island wasn't that big but I was able to see a few buildings and some children running in it.

Seeing that I removed all the swords around me and turned my head toward Rikka, but even before I say anything Rikka said:

"Can you please leave some of your swords here the kids are going to be afraid if they see them"

"Kids?" I asked doubtfully.

"I take care of the kids that are left by their parents in the forgotten mountains so can you please..." as she said that she looked at the four hundred ten meters swords.

I also turned my head and looked at them, the sight of those swords would scare even cold blooded fighter not to mention a few kids.

Those swords were going to be under my control even if I left them on the shore of the lake so I controlled 350 swords to stay floating there while I took the remaining fifty swords to move toward the island with me on one of them.

Seeing that Rikka followed me and then, I was able to see a few kids running here and there it seemed as if they knew that Rikka was back I because of the fallen stars technique I was able to see a girl the same age as me with black hair and eyes she was there in the shore of the island looking at our direction.

She was older then I remember as five years had passed but I was sure that it was her, the only girl that I ever loved Emily.

As we get a little closer and our eyes met I saw that she started to cry...
