The Wizard’s Fairy Tale

Poseidon, Mermaid, Siren

Poseidon (Greek: Ποσειδ?ν, English: Poseidon), is the god of the sea in ancient Greek mythology and one of the twelve main gods of Olympus. He is also the god in charge of horses. Legend has it that he gave mankind the first horse. His mount is a golden chariot driven by a white horse. He is the brother of Zeus and Hades.

When Poseidon is angry, sea monsters will appear in the sea. When he swings his trident, he can not only easily set off huge waves, but also cause storms and tsunamis, sink the continents, crack the sky and the earth, and smash everything to pieces. Triggering a big earthquake, when his chariot runs on the sea, the waves will become calm, and dolphins will follow around. Therefore, the Greek sailors and fishermen near the Aegean Sea worshiped him extremely.

The siren comes from ancient Greek myths and legends. In the myth, she is shaped as a sea monster with a human face and a bird body. She flies on the sea and has a singing voice like the sound of nature. She often seduces passing navigators with her singing and makes the ship sink on the rocks. The crew became the siren's lunch. The Siren is the daughter of the river god Ecroueus, a beautiful goblin born from his blood. Because he lost the music competition with Muse, Muse pulled out his wings, making him unable to fly. After losing their wings, the sirens had to swim near the coastline, sometimes transforming into mermaids, and using their musical talents to attract passing sailors and make them suffer disaster.
