The World Of Demons And Gods

On the southern part of Continent, on the small coastal area of Celestia, there is a small kingdom of Annesly. Inside that Kingdom on the western side, there, it could be seen the village of spring.

This is the village of humans where Cyrus and his sister, Clair, grew up into fine young teens!

However, today. It is the day of their departure.

Cyrus and his parents are already outside the village gate, both Shane and James are talking to the village Chief bidding their farewells and good lucks accompanied by villagers of the spring village.

The villagers' expressions were too many, all of them had a disappointed, sad, and some are happy.

The villagers had considered the Baumgartner as their members of the village and their protectors. Their gratitude towards them was huge that they cannot be repaid so the only thing that they could give is remembrance, blessings, and tokens.

The couples gave a sack of money for their gratitude to the villagers and told the village chief, "Take this money as our gratitude, please share it with everyone, and improve the village. So once we returned here, we would be glad to stay here forever." as they say.

These words made the villagers very happy and grew bright.

When the couples made a farewell with all the villagers and went towards Cyrus while he was leaning on the gates.

Cyrus pushed himself up, walked towards his parents, and then followed them.

Soon they walked far away from the village and the villagers could not see it with their eyesight, they could only sigh and return and do their own job once again.

While walking, Cyrus asked, "Mother, father where is our destination?"

Shane took a map from her spatial storage, "Hmm, let's see... For a cheap ride, we would need to go to two cities and before leaving in this kingdom." Shane pointed out the places on the map as she explained.

Seeing this made Cyrus hyped up, "Nice!" I have never seen a city in this world since I was born... Cyrus could not help to sigh deep inside because he grew up here like the way he did from his previous life.

He was living in an isolated mountain with his clan members, and the first time he went to the city is when he was fifteen years old when his school had a field trip.

Seeing his excited look, both Shane and James sighed as they smile. The two had actually planned to have a family date with Cyrus despite they can easily fly and reach the academy in a day.

On these vast grasslands, there was only a small dirt road heading towards the main road made out of rocks. The three were heading towards the waiting area like a bus stop, however; it was designed for carriages, wagons, etc.

On the open field like this, Cyrus could not help to get mesmerized by nature as he could close his eyes and accept the wind as it blows at him. The skies are blue and clear, there are no clouds, and the sun is high up in the sky.

Despite the sun is blasting its hot light that could make your skin dry and burn, Cyrus and his parents are actually unaffected by this heat as they walked leisurely as if the sun is nothing for them.

"Son, did you already see the money I gave you? That amount of money could last for one year so do not waste it too much." James suddenly spoke as he asked his son.

Cyrus nodded, "Yup, however, I don't know the amount of money I had, it has three colors, yet I don't know what are the values of It." he replied as he scratched his head in embarrassment.

"Heh! Inside there is two million worth of money!" He said trying to surprise Cyrus.

Hearing this had made Cyrus fell into his trap as he was shocked, "Woah, that much!?" When he was about to ask another question, Shane interrupted.

"Don't listen to you idiotic father. Yes, there is two million worth of money inside of your spatial storage; however, it was not that much! We use crystal tablets as our currency that could be divided into three colors, white, yellow, and cyan." Shane explained as she continued,

"The white crystal tablet could only cost one, while the yellow one worth a hundred white crystal tablets! Lastly the cyan tablet worth a thousand white crystal tablets! There is also a special currency which is purple and black cards, a purple card's worth is fifty thousand, and the black one's worth is one million!"

"However, despite being high in value, the economy of this kingdom is in deep inflation causing the goods and services kind of high and expensive. For example, on the streets stalls in the city, if you bought a single bottle of water, its natural cost should be ten white crystal, however, in this kingdom, it costs fifty yellow crystals! It's really expensive that one would rather drink on the river than buying." Shane explained as she shook her head, she too could not believe at the prices.

Pfft!? That expensive!? That is only a bottle of water! If the natural price is ten white crystals then you could buy fifty thousand bottles of water!

Cyrus could not believe in the ridiculous amount and the pathetic economy that he had discovered both his previous and present life!

"Geez, what happened to the kingdom to make the economy a huge pile of crap?" Cyrus could not help to shake his head as he asked.

"Well, this country is the smallest kingdom in this continent, and it is also the weakest among the top ten major kingdoms. Its manpower is lacking, the economy is weak and unstable, and the political power is really in deep shit." James casually said.

"Not only that, this kingdom had caused a major loss after the war a few years ago and the only thing that they could make a reparation or compensation to the Alexandria Kingdom is to give a large amount of land. Also in recent months, the palace had a coup de'tat overthrowing the previous king and got beheaded as a punishment due to rumors having a scandal that caused an uproar in the entire kingdom." Hearing everything had caused Cyrus to have a huge shock!

This kingdom is in a deep hole! Not long after, this kingdom will surely fall! One more thing, why I had never heard all of this in the village? Especially the recent war... Maybe that is why I could notice that everyone from the village is all tensed up.

Cyrus could not sigh in amazement for he, was actually ignorant of the outside world.

Well, the spring village is really an isolated village located on the outskirts of the kingdom.

While walking on the dirt road, the three had been chatting without stop; their topics were all random so the author did not write every detail of their random conversation.

Hours of walking, the three had finally seen the 'stop' shed next only to the main road. When the three arrived there, they waited for another hour before a large carriage that has the same size as a bus; however, it was not a horse that dragged this huge carriage.

It's a tamed demi-beast that has the similar size of a mammoth but looked like a rhino.

James called the carriage with a wave of his hands, and when it stopped on their front, the three had finally entered the carriage. The carriage due to its large size it has top and bottom floor and spacious inside with a good ventilation.

Inside the carriage, there are only a few passengers and all of them are normal humans, some are elders, some are couples, and some are children with their elder siblings. All of them are happily chatting together despite some of them are strangers to one another.

However, when Shane, James, and Cyrus had entered inside, all the passengers looked at them with a smile on their face, however, their smile froze when they saw the clothing and weapons of the two a.d.u.l.ts along with the youth.

Cyrus had not noticed this and continued to walk upstairs, the couples looked at the passengers as they smiled and gave a slight nod. Assuring everyone that they would not cause a ruckus.

The couples followed Cyrus upstairs and when they finally out of the sight of normal humans, they could only sigh in relief.

In this part of the land in the kingdom of Annesly, there are only a few demi-humans could be found here.

Normal humans could distinguish a person if he/she a demi-human, due to their different pigmentation on their eyes, and hair. They could also notice due to their skin texture as if they are not affected by nature.

Humans here have their natural instinct to know and feel if the person is a demi-human. It is also easy to know if a person is a normal human, they have dark black hair and black eyes.

(Dark black - Not really a vantablack, but closer to it.)

When the three had finally found a place to sit on, on the top floor. Cyrus looked at both of his parents.

"..."

The three of them are all quiet as they stare outside the window.

Man, this is so awkward... Cyrus could not help to get a sweat on his forehead, thinking of any topic that he had wanted to ask that could help him in the future, and Cyrus had finally grown a light bulb on his head.

While looking on the outside, as he stares faraway overlooking the Great Plains, Cyrus finally spoke, "Mother, Father... can you tell me about your adventures?" Cyrus asked as he looked at both of his parents.

Shane with a smile on her face, she lifted her hands as she pointed her fingers upwards. Soon, a small transparent barrier appeared surrounding the three and this action made Cyrus amazed silently.

"Hmm, let's see..." James touched his chin as he was thinking of something after that when he realized something, he looked at his son and started talking about his adventure with his wife, he rarely avoids the topic that is currently unsolved for him. Both he and Shane continued to tell their own story and share it with their son in a relaxed manner.

There are many things that Cyrus had learned, he had even obtained some skills that do not use elemental essence and use only pure dou qi. He learned techniques such as [Fast steps] movement skill and [Needle strike], which is an assassination skill.

Those normal humans with them could not hear what they were talking about since Shane had put a sound barrier preventing them to hear what they were talking about.

The plan, for now, is for them to reach Jade City and stay there for a single day. Reaching to the Jade City, it would take eight hours before they could arrive at the speed of 40 kph.

While on the second day after they arrived at the Jade city, they will take another same carriage towards the Emerald City and they will stay there for a day once again, before they could go to Capital City of the Kingdom of Annesley

Hearing all the adventure had temporarily made Cyrus want to sleep as he told it about his parents. James and Shane could not help to sigh and smile at their own son before talking to themselves.

Cyrus woke up from his dantian, when he looked around he saw Lily and Lynae together as they are sleeping on the floor right beside the egg.

Lily had fallen asleep while she was pitching Lynae's tender and softs cheeks while on the other hand, Lynae was sleep talking saying, "Staaphh it~" While a small amount of saliva is running down as it drips on the floor.

Smiling, Cyrus sat on the floor and started to cultivate to start the dual process.

... Seven Hours Later...

Cyrus had woken up from his cultivation and heard the two girls being rowdy again.

"Bahaha! You third eyed brat, sleeping while your mouth is open, look! The floor is already a pool of your saliva! Ewwww, Cyrus would get angry or might hate you for making his dantian floor dirty!" Lily jokingly said as she poked fun of Lynae.

Here we go again... Cyrus thought as he could only sigh.
