Two loud *bang* rung out on the road.

Seeing their companion had holes on his c.h.e.s.t, everyone gasped in cold breathe, trembling they never thought that this lady would suddenly get pissed and kill their second companion!

While the man, who had his c.h.e.s.t pierced by two anima bullets, he looked at the lady with shocking impression as he fell on the ground, then soon, he wildly shouted in rage, yet his voice was hoarse and sound helpless.

Because his hopes of returning alive have been trampled, just as he was about to reflect everything he had done and harm that he had cause to every one of his victims, to return to his family alive and feed them with proper earnings from a proper job, he just wanted to be alive and make sure his family maintain their life.

He never wanted to become a criminal but because the jobs for demi-humans have high standards for working, he never had a chance to earn properly and seeing his family suffering from hunger, he couldn't handle it. Because they were nobody, they have difficulty in obtaining cultivating resources for his family and can't cultivate, only him who had reached on warrior rank can do something, even his life back then was no different than a human, he never wanted to see his family weak and because he's afraid of being trampled by powerful ones, like how normal humans suffer under the hands of demi-humans, and seeing his family suffering like that, he can't accept it.

He joined this group of people to become criminal to earn money and resources for his family so they can eat as well as train their bodies to properly cultivate.

When they're doing the shameless deeds, he never participated on killing and most importantly, raping, and the gang that he had joined in is a group of rascals who had a thing on younger people it can be either human or demi-human as long as under their strength. When they're doing these shameful acts, he could only close his eyes and excuse himself away from the people.

Because whenever he looks at the faces of these young children, shouting, crying in agony, being helpless while their body is being ravaged by people, he couldn't accept and look at it. Because when he looked at those faces, he would always remember his children and all of them are girls.

That's the reason why the only deeds he had done was stealing.

He joined on this ambush because someone reported that this particular person is from a wealthy family, and she's only sixteen, which makes everyone had their mouth salivates, but to him, what's he's after is the wealth of this girl.

Yet fate gave him a judgment, they encountered a one of a powerful figure on the entire continent of Celestia and he tried to fight this fate by covering himself behind the leader of the group of criminals and when he was given a chance to be alive, however, as if the deity of justice makes his mind to think and answer the words that this young lady hated the most has ended his life.

He was frustrated by getting his hopes up, he was frustrated that he was powerless, he was frustrated to himself that he abandoned his cultivation for the sake of love thus hardship and suffering fall on his family, he never blamed the young lady after shouting on anger at her, because he knew, he's still a criminal and have done unforgivable things and it's only natural for death somehow befall on him.

And this is the end of his path, he could only accept death.

He could only close his eyes and remember the faces of his wife and his children, they were happy, and to him, they were the happiest family he had despite suffering in hardsh.i.p.s…

Tears started to swell on his eyes despite his mouth were flowing with blood, soon these tears fell on his cheeks as he blankly looked at the clouds above the skies.
