Staring at the lady on his front a few meters away, he quickly asked Lily, [Is there is a problem activating my cultivation mode while fighting her?]

By the time she explained everything, the lady once again vanished startling Cyrus. On his vision, he was staring on the lady's face when suddenly that face appeared right in front of him with a sneer on her beautiful face.

"Tsk!" Cyrus tried to leap backwards as he slashed towards her using Lynae. The lady smashed her sword towards the incoming sword.

*Bang!* Particles of her anima sword exploded, although it didn't get destroyed it got chipped badly. The girl stood on Cyrus spot earlier and looked at her own sword, soon the damaged sword once again got repaired before looking at Cyrus.

"Your strength has surpassed all of my opponents so far, impressive!" She smiled, revealing her perfect white teeth.

"Thanks for the compliment, but could we stop now?" Cyrus tries to smooth things out but failed quickly as ten swords flew towards him.

Cyrus somersaulted to the side and avoided the attack before sprinting around the lady. His speed is quick indeed, in fact, it surprised the lady as well, however, if she were to compare her speed to Cyrus, it's still slightly slow and she can see him very well so much that she knew what he would do next.

When the distance between them was few feet away, Cyrus threw Lynae towards the lady with lightning speed.

"Are you kidding? Thi-!!!" The lady tried to deflect the sword but to her shock, his sword is unbelievably heavy knocking her own sword back to her face throwing her backwards as she flipped before sluggishly stabilizing herself with a shock expression on her face. What the heck is that!?

However, Cyrus' counterattack didn't stop. He caught Lynae with his hand and dashed towards the lady and slashed her diagonally. He opened his first gate and finally using his anima to replenish his stamina.

The lady tried to defend, but due to the shock of the strength of the flying sword earlier, her arms grew numb, so when she tried to defend from his attack, she failed miserably as pain flared up from her c.h.e.s.t knocking her once again.

"Ah!"

She fell on the ground b.u.t.t first with a pained look on her face, she quickly touched her c.h.e.s.t before looking on her hand, to her surprise there's no blood. Huh?

She looked at Cyrus, she got startled to see that Cyrus was holding the blade backwards. The one that struck her was the blunt edge of the sword which confused her.

"Is he avoiding wounding me?" She thought to herself… Soon, her blank face turned sour as her brows furrowed together, "Is he taking me lightly? Am I that easy to defeat!?" Due to her personal problem, unreasonable thought flared up once again.

She looked at Cyrus' face only to see that handsome face lightly smiling on her, which she failed interpreting it to mock smile, her fuse burned up!

Cyrus whom trying to be cool and calm as possible to soothe things out suddenly felt the warm air turned freaking cold as his hair around from his body stood up! Such a feeling like this is very dangerous! Before he could shout a white light engulfed his entire being!

*BOOM!*

Lightning struck his entire body causing him to get blasted far away from the road before crashing on the grassy grounds. His body smashed on the ground coughing as pain covered his face.

[Cyrus, are you okay?] Lily asked with concern.

"*Cough* Y-yeah. That attack really hurts me ah." Cyrus bitterly smiled as a small tint of blood appeared from his mouth. That attack earlier had made him bitten his tongue.

The cold air on the surrounding didn't dissipate soon, and the suppressing feeling from the air made Cyrus quite worried as the dark cloud started appearing on the once clear skies.

'Is this…' Cyrus had a bad feeling from his heart as he stared at the skies.

*Rumble* Thunderous roar from the skies echoed and soon, lightning blue lightning started appearing from the skies, dancing from the dark clouds illuminating the ground with its magnificent light.

Its might had suppressed Cyrus down which made him look bitter, "This is really bad!" This feeling is very similar when someone is absorbing a massive amount of elemental anima to the body and change their current form to elemental mode! And this feeling is a bit similar to his mother's lightning mode!

Remembering the strength of her mother that she displayed to him back them, fear started to crawl from his back.

[Cyrus, things are getting out of hand. Her aura completely changes into something… Ancient… Be careful, her strength is already completely beyond paladin rank now.] Lily solemnly said, even for her, she slightly has a bad feeling about this.

The lady had her eyes closed, and her hair and brows glowed brightly and soon, electricity has started appearing around her body and wildly zapping the ground, anything that conducts electricity twenty feet away from didn't escape from her excessive amounts electricity.

Her eyes snapped open, her crimson eyes were glowing and her pupils had dilated into slits, and soon a thick lightning pillar struck her own body!

A thunderous explosion blasted the ground and air on the surrounding. Even Cyrus' hair had been flipped backwards revealing his forehead. Seeing her crazy and different transformation, he was deeply shocked. If he was to compare his elemental mode transformation to her, he looked shabby, it was as if comparing a diamond coin to a copper coin!

Cyrus tried to quickly stand up but before he could do, a person zapped on his front as the girl smashed her fist on Cyrus' c.h.e.s.t!

"Argh!" Cyrus g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain as he felt the massive shock from his c.h.e.s.t, not only that, her electricity is burning his skin and nerves which caused a massive amount of pain. Even if Cyrus has a massive amount of pain tolerance, burning a nerve is something that couldn't withstand!

The ground shook as a massive crater created behind his back, Cyrus only g.r.o.a.n.e.d and coughed blood. Fortunately, that he has a high defence, if not for his tough bone and skin, then he wouldn't survive on her strike turning him into meat paste.

Cyrus quickly covered his entire body with his anima preventing from electricity from shocking him, while he looked in pain, he quickly grabbed her arms with his hand while on the other hand, using his full strength, he opened his palm and smashed it into her chin.

His palm strike knocked her head backward and moved away quickly.

Cyrus' face was horrible as he panted, he wiped his face using his arm smearing his blood on his face.

He couldn't defeat her if he didn't give it all, but doing so have only a time limit, beyond that time limit, severe repercussion might happen.

"Lynae, I need your help. I need you to refill my reserves preventing it from draining quickly. Can you do that?" Cyrus said without bothering the fact that he was talking to himself. [Okay master!] Lynae replied quickly.

Soon, his depleting reserves regenerated once again. Feeling this amazing feeling, he couldn't help to smile. If he were to abuse Lynae's capability then he would be unstoppable in the battlefield, however, his moral code says no. And he dislikes using Lynae powers much and relying on others too much is something that he can't accept.

Holding his sword tightly, the blade which silver-white suddenly turned bright red in colour as hot temperature rise. As heatwave blasted from his feat and since heat always goes up in the air, his hair fluttered crazily. He looked at the magnificent and god-like lady away from, taking a deep breath, he suddenly vanished!

Seeing the changes on his stance, the lady cloaked in lighting prepared to attack. With a flash, hundred of anima swords covered with electricity appeared on the air pointing at the quick approaching figure of Cyrus'

She clasped her sword tightly and slashed the air in front of her creating a shockwave toward Cyrus and launched her lightning swords, she too along with her strikes leapt towards Cyrus.

Cyrus gaze didn't falter as he focused his energy into his eyes. Soon, the world turned slow, so slow that the flying sword which if already flying at light speed turned into turtle speed, much less the shockwave that moving towards him at a snail pace, but what made him quite shocked is that, the lady seemed to be running to him normally like a child running to her own mother. If her speed is already this fast, then how much on the real-time?

He was amazed but didn't have much time to appreciate her talents as he quickly ran towards the shockwave and sliced through it using his blazing hot sword and he easily dodged the flying lightning swords towards him as he quickly approached the Lady whom running towards him no different from his own speed.

Those swords behind him tried to adjust its trajectory but only to smashed on the ground, it easily penetrated the ground like a hot knife into the butter before exploding due to highly concentrated lightning element. Because the world turned slower, in real-time, these attacks were destroying nature on the surrounding.

Cyrus and the Lady clad in lightning finally clashed their sword, their slow strikes may seem to be not too slow and not too fast, but their tremendous force carried by it had already destroyed the ground beneath them creating a slow shockwave.

Cyrus felt numb, but he didn't stop as he released his hands away from his sword, and soon. His entire being blazed by golden scarlet fire!

His hair turned scarlet and his iris turned to gold in colour!

He opened his palm and a massive amount of fire element anima on his palm creating a small, ball of fire the size of a baseball, spinning on his palm. He slammed it to her stomach, which she failed to defend to due to Lynae's knockback.

Soon, Cyrus' absolute focus skill worn off and the world turned back to its speed again!

*BANG!*

The fireball on his palm created a massive explosion and a cone-like hot shockwave appeared burning everything behind his back!

The small concentrated of ball of flames turned into a massive ball of flames destroying everything on its path. The lady clads on lightning didn't even have a chance to defend herself as the scalding hot sword smashed her own sword and her stomach was burning due to the extreme temperature that she found it inconvincible before blasting away to the sky.

She g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain and blood oozes from her mouth slowly. She slowly stabilized herself from the air. She looked at her burnt hands and stomach. Seeing this damage, others might see this damage wasn't much but considering the fact that she has defence not weaker than Cyrus, she finds it hard to believe!

"What kind of flames is that!? A tier 2 elemental transformation can cause so much damage!?" She kept getting shocked ever since she fought this guy. This guy is weirder than my uncle's fetishes! It's really unbelievable!

Her dilated pupils focused on Cyrus, soon. Her entire body froze like a stone as she floated up there in the skies.

She found something that wrecked her sanity because it's so insane! This dude is apparently a paladin rank! Ah!

"T-This bastard!" She grumbled in annoyance. To be honest, her lightning mode is her top-secret technique that she didn't dare to reveal at her own peers, she would only use this in the dire situation. Although she thought that Cyrus was a terrifying expert, that's why she didn't hesitate to use her secret technique.

But to her own shock, this aberrant is just like her at her own base level! A freaking paladin Rank!
