"I can't believe that I'm seeing this!" Eric shouted as he watched Eevee lift Arbok in the air with its telekinetic move.

"What?" Eric quickly pulls out his Pokedex to view the menu, and he was immediately shocked.

Eric could finally see Eevee's stats!

"Wow...The Special Attack is ridiculous compared to its other stats...Eevee...you.." Eric frowned as he could only imagine what Team Rocket did to make its stats like that. The thought of such terrible things happening to a little Eevee made him feel sorry for it even more.

However...

"Eevee is my Pokemon now.." Eric muttered with a smile as he placed his Pokedex back in his pocket. "And it's going to kick your ass!! Eevee slam Arbok on the ground with Psychic!!"

[Eevee!!] Eevee lifts Arbok higher into the air before slamming it down into the ground, creating a small crater from the impact.

[Cha..rbok] Arbok fainted immediately after making contact with the ground.

[Pika...Pikachuu~] Pikachu ran over to Eevee after it was released from Arbok and thanked Eevee for saving it.

*Ding! 600 exp for defeating Team Rocket Grunts *

*Pikachu's exp raised a little*

*Eevee's exp raised a little*

"That's awesome, Eevee! Hahaha!" Eric laughed as his entire body filled with joy and over to Eevee with his quickest speed. He then sweeps Eevee off its feet and held it high in the air.

[Eevee~] Eevee was happy that it was being held and praised by its new trainer. It started to believe that maybe not all humans are bad.

The feeling of having a place to belong to was real, right? It questioned for only second as the warmth of the blue light surrounding its trainer assured it.

"Damn it! You haven't heard from the last of us, kid!" The first grunt said, recalling his Arbok and running away into the unknown.

The other grunt simply flipped Eric off before recalling his Golbat and following after his teammate.

"Well, that's new?..." Eric said with a raised eyebrow as he watched the grunts run away. He then turned to his Pokemon, "Now that's done. I wonder if I should go back. What do you think, Pikachu? Eevee?"

However, both of them knew the answer to their trainer's question and only rolled their eyes.

"Come oooon. You're supposed to make me think about it, but I still ultimately go for comedic effect." Eric said with a smile as he kept the true reason to himself.

" Boss! We can't hold them back any longer!" One of Lt.Surge's lackeys said as he recalled his fainted pokemon.

Team Rocket had them outnumbered four to 10, and they managed to get rid of half of the grunts Pokemon. However, the three lackeys Pokemon couldn't hold on anymore, making Raichu and Electabuzz the last two standing.

The two Pokemon were exhausted fighting all this time, but still, the will to battle burned brightly within their eyes.

They still had a lot left!

"Just fall back for now!" Lt.Surge shouted before focusing on the battle ahead.

Two Arboks, Two Wheezings, and Ekans were left standing against them. The odds weren't good, but oddly instead of being depressed, Lt.Surge would show a confident smile, "We'll handle this! Raichu use Thunderbolt on that Golbat on the left! Electabuzz use Thunder Punch on Ekans! Do it now!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.

[Rai! Raichuu!] [Electaaabuzz!!] The shouting of Lt.Surge seemed to give them strength as they unleashed their attacks on their assigned opponent.

[Gol...bat]

[Ekanss...]

"Damn it! A gym leader's Pokemon is too strong for all of us!" One grunt shouted.

"How are they still going! We outnumber them!"

Suddenly a voice that seemed to be put through a megaphone could be heard throughout the factory. "This is Officer Jenny, and we have the place completely surrounded! Surrender now, Team Rocket!"

"The police! They finally made it!" One of Lt.Surge's lackey cried out with joy.

"Hehe, They came too early...We were about to finish this!" Lt.Surge said with a light chuckle.

[Rai Rai!] Raichu wholly agreed with its trainer and puffed out its c.h.e.s.t.

[Electabuzz...] Electabuzz wanted to continue, but it was too exhausted after that last attack.

"Electabuzz, you did great! Return!' Lt.Surge returned Electabuzz to its Pokeball. " Raichu...Finish this with Thunder!!"

On his way back to the factory, Eric witnessed a sizeable thunder cloud appear over the factory, and almost immediately, a giant thunderbolt would strike down.

*BOOM*

The sound was nearly deafening from Eric's distance, and even most of the city could hear the sound. However, no one would know the source as the thunder cloud left with no trace after the strike.

Eric gripped his fist tightly as somehow he knew that attack was from Lt.Surge's Pokemon, "This Lt.Surge is strong... But... I'll win." He said with a smirk before continuing on to the factory.

Having reached the scene, Eric was greeted by a full force of the police arresting Team Rocket grunts left and right. The crisis was over, and the victors today were on the side of good.

Eric looked around for Lt.Surge and instantly found him talking to Mr.Taylor with his Raichu by his side. "You guys did it." He shouted as he ran over the two.

"Ah! Eric, it is good to see you safe and sound." Mr.Taylor said.

Lt.Surge showed a confident grin and gave a thumbs up, "It was a piece of cake for Raichu and me. We've been through worse."

[Rai!...Raichu..] Raichu puffed out its c.h.e.s.t before groaning from exhaustion.

"Take a good rest, old friend," Lt.Surge recalled Raichu back to its Pokeball.

"The two that chased me ran away... I'm sorry," Eric said with a sigh. He was too focused on Eevee that he didn't think to capture them.

"It's fine. We only expected you to ru-Arcanine go fetch!' Mr.Taylor noticed some movement nearby and called out his Arcanine once again.

[Awwooo!] Arcanine dashed behind a building several blocks away as soon as it was released, and almost immediately, the screams of two people entered everyone's ears.

"What the hell?! Nooo! Get off of me!! Please stop!!"

"W-w-wait! Do you want a treat?! Come on. You know you--MY A.S.S!!"

Everyone could only stand in silence and wryly smile as they heard the screams of two men. However, one person was practically jumping with joy.

"Hahahaha! That's good, Arcanine!" Mr.Taylor feverishly clapped his hands and laughed so hard that his face was turning slightly red.

Soon, Arcanine came back, dragging two Team Rocket grunts in terrible shape towards Mr.Taylor.

"You did so well ~" Mr.Taylor walked over to Arcanine, lovingly petting its hair until he noticed everyone being silent, and looked around confused. "What?"

Finally, the entire ordeal was over, and Mr.Taylor insisted on taking everyone out to eat at a fancy restaurant. Apparently, International Police make a lot of money as he was paying for over twenty people, and no one was holding back on their orders.

Eric even ordered for Eevee and Pikachu, who were lucky enough to be out at the time.

[Eevee~] [Cha~] Pikachu and Eevee were happy to be alive and chowed down on the food before them. The two even made a competition on who could eat the fastest.

"And the winner is...Pikachu!" Eric chuckled as he poked the full belly of Pikachu, who was now too full to even move, and Eevee wasn't any better.

Eventually, the celebration ended with full bellies and warm smiles. Eric was especially full as he couldn't get enough of the food.

"Man, what did they put in that food?..."

"Wait, kid." Lt.Surge caught up with Eric before he could return to the hotel.

"Ugh...What is it?" Eric g.r.o.a.n.e.d as he inwardly complained that he ate too much

Lt.Surge pulled out a yellow badge from his pocket, "I just wanted you to have this-"

Eric's eyes suddenly widen as he instantly forgot about his aching stomach, "Hell no! I'm not taking that until after I defeat you!" He shouted as he glared at Lt.Surge. He loved the Pokemon anime as it taught some valuable lessons, but he was never going to take badges without defeating the Gym Leader!

Never!

[Pikachu!!] [Eevee!!] Pikachu and Eevee, who was on Eric's shoulders, agreed with their trainer.

"Hahaha! Good answer. I would have been disappointed if you accepted it. I expect you bright and early at the gym. Don't make me wait to crush you!" Lt.Surge grinned as he puts the badge away before turning to leave.

Eric knew that it was going to be a hard fight and worried about how he was going to defeat him. "Heh...But I'm more excited than anything."

"This battle is between the challenger Eric and the Gym Leader Lt.Surge! This is a special one on one battle with the challenger able to use the maximum of two Pokemon." One of Lt.Surge's lackey says as he was the referee.

Eric had woke up early and immediately rode over to Vermillion Gym on his bike to battle Lt.Surge. He was a little surprised that Lt.Surge was already waiting for him on the battlefield.

"Get ready, kid! Go, Raichu!" Lt.Surge threw out his Pokeball containing Raichu.

[Rai Rai!] Raichu was ready to battle and smirked at Eric as electricity leaked from its cheeks. It was an arrogant Pokemon, but it had the power to back it up.

Eric thought about the strategy to use against Raichu all night long, and with his selection of Pokemon, nothing was guaranteed. "But I can't hesitate... Pikachu! You're up!"

[Pika!] Pikachu, who was on Eric's shoulder, leaped off onto the battlefield.

Lt.Surge was surprised about the kid's choice, but he wasn't going to mock Eric as he felt that he shouldn't be underestimated.

"Let the battle begin!"

"Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Eric commanded with a wave of his hand.

[Pika!!] Pikachu sped off towards Raichu, leaving a streak of light behind it.

"...." Lt.Surge simply kept his mouth closed and watched the oncoming attack.

"What is he doing...? Wait! Pikachu-" Eric figured it out and wanted to stop Pikachu.

"Too late! Raichu use Iron Tail!"

[Rai!] Raichu's tail suddenly glowed and turned into steel before slamming it against Pikachu's face, sending it flying towards the wall on the left.

"No! Pikachu! Use Iron Tail and dig it into the ground to stop yourself!"

[Pika...Pikachu!] Pikachu took a lot of damage from the direct hit, but it managed to use Iron tail as an anchor to stop itself just inches away from the wall.

"Well... There goes hoping that he battled like the anime version..."

"Your Pikachu may be more agile than my Raichu, but...I have more experience than you do, and my Raichu is no pushover!"

"Right... Pikachu use Quick Attack again!"

[Pikachu!] Pikachu used Quick Attack again and sped off towards Raichu.

"Kid, didn't you see what happened? Raichu use Iron Tail again!"

[Rai!] Raichu charged up for another Iron Tail and waited for Pikachu to get closer.

"Pikachu, use Double Team!" Eric quickly shouted

[Pika!!] Pikachu started to make copies of itself using Double Team as it continued with Quick Attack.

[Rai!?] Raichu was confused by the copies and used Iron Tail hoping to hit the real one.

*Bang*

Raichu, unfortunately, missed the real Pikachu and was hit directly in its stomach with a Quick Attack.

[Rai...Raichu!] Raichu dug in its heels to keep it from flying backward, but enduring it caused it to take on more damage.

"Yeah! That's the way Raichu! Now grab hold of Pikachu!" Lt.Surge saw his chance to end the battle and wanted to seize it before Eric could make up a plan.

Immediately Eric knew what was going to happen, and Pikachu might not be able to stand another direct hit. "Pikachu! Use Agility and get out of there!"

[Pika?! Pikachuu!] Pikachu sensed the urgency in Eric's voice and used Agility to escape from Raichu quickly.

However, it was too late...

[Rai!] Raichu was able to grab onto Pikachu in time and wrapped its tail around it to keep it from escaping.

"Raichu, use ThunderBolt!"

"Pikachu, use ThunderBolt!"

[Raichuuu!] [Pikachuuu!] Pikachu and Raichu received their orders at the same time. Their bodies released large amounts of electricity and attacked each other.

*BOOM*

The two ThunderBolts colliding at such close proximities caused a massive explosion. Huge amounts of dust and wind made it hard to see the result until an object was seen flying out of the dust cloud.

It was... Pikachu!

*Bang!*

Pikachu slammed against the ground and rolled to the edge of the battlefield in front of Eric. "Pikachu!"

[Pi..ka..] Pikachu gritted its teeth and struggled to get back up to its feet despite the terrible state it was in. It was a miracle that it could even move.

"Damn it...But hows-"

[Rai!] Raichu used its tail to disperse the dust, revealing that the collision also damaged it. However, it was in a much better state than Pikachu.

"Should just give it up and throw out your next Pokemon Kid. My Raichu is used to taking damage, but your little Pikachu isn't. Plus, Raichu is stronger!" Lt.Surge said.

[Rai!] Raichu agreed with its trainer and showed off its signature smirk.

"I'm sorry Pikachu but-"

[Pika!! Pikachu!!] Pikachu voiced its refusal to leave the battle while it was still standing.

Raichu is stronger? Who cares?! It just needed a stronger move to defeat it!

That Move! It just needed that move!

Pikachu started to release electricity, coating itself entirely as it glared at the arrogant Raichu.

"Pikachu..." Eric couldn't believe his eyes as Pikachu was finally able to use that move that defeated his Pidgeotto when it was a Pidgey.

Eric never stopped trying to get Pikachu to use Volt Tackle. In fact, Pikachu always failed to use it in all of its past battles. He didn't quite understand everything about Pokemon moves, but maybe he should look into them more in the future.

"But now...Let's win this! Pikachu use Volt Tackle!"

[Pikaaaa! Pika! Pikachuu!!!] Pikachu forgot all about the pain it was in and charged straight for Raichu using Volt Tackle.

"You're a fool, kid... You think just because your Pikachu knows that move you'll automatically win? You're dead wrong! Raichu... Use Volt Tackle!"

"What?!"
