[TIDK] 43 – Police Station

Shortly afterwards, Arnold Crimson called the police, who arrived at the Crimson mansion. Isaac complied with the police voluntarily.

Soon, a carriage from Crimson Street entered the local police station.

When Isaac stepped down from the carriage with the help of the police with his cane, Arnold, barely wiping his blood, took the cane from him.

“Why are you suddenly acting like you can't do anything?”

Isaac stopped, looking bewildered.

After Arnold's actions notified the police, they recovered the cane and returned it to Isaac.

“No matter what, it's unjust to take the cane of the blind….”

“Thank you.”

Isaac took the cane and smiled.

Arnold was the only one injured, but Isaac's clothes had blood on them, and the atmosphere made him seem unlikely to be the perpetrator.

It was a very troubling incident for the Southeastern police, which the Crimson family heavily subsidised.

At this point, the Crimson family's successor was Isaac Crimson, but Abel Crimson dominated. Salantier was conservative, so most of the heirs were the eldest sons, but that did not mean that all parents handed over the family to the eldest son.

Even though the eldest son was defective, there was another one. Some great families had their eldest daughter succeed because the eldest son was not eloquent. In the case of Isaac, who was blind, if his parents were alive, he would not have been handed over the title.

Still, the truth was that he had a claim to the title.

They couldn't tell which path to follow.

While Isaac made his statement, Scarlett arrived in a private carriage.

Arnold shouted in a fit of rage as she entered.

"You! Oh, what a mess in our family because of you?"

Arnold exclaimed in indignation. Still, he was inside the police station and kept his hands down. Isaac looked at the sound for a while and turned his head.

Another carriage followed. Fran, a lawyer for the Dumfelt family, got off the carriage. He was a lawyer for the Dumfelt family's legal affairs, and now he worked exclusively for Viktor. When he got off with his suit, he found Scarlett and ran to her.

“Madam. No, Miss Scarlett.”

“Mr Fran?”

Scarlett wondered, restless. Fran spoke in a relaxed manner.

“The Master sent me. Oh, my lady is hurt, too.”

Fran felt sorry for Scarlett; earlier, Arnold had scratched her arm and neck in his assault.

“It's going to take a while. We can't pay alimony to save the Count from trouble and to the man who wielded violence against Miss Scarlett, the mistress of the Dumfelt family. It's a matter of honour.” Fran said.

“Thank you.”

It was a great relief that Fran came. Isaac had nothing to worry about with him.

Fran soon busied himself. Scarlett sat down in a chair, relieved that the lawyer had come in.

She closed her eyes for a moment and opened her eyes again because she remembered Isaac beating Arnold brutally.

She couldn't care less about the blood spurts. Isaac may not have seen it, but Isaac, sensitive about everything except sight, must have felt the warm blood. Thinking about whether he had always lived with that anger in his mind, her mind became complicated. However, Isaac, whom the police questioned, was sincere and responded politely and calmly to the police's words.

The situation did not end quickly. When Scarlett heard Arnold shouting inside, it seemed like Fran was taking issue with Scarlett's injury.

Then, another carriage stopped in front of the police station.  Aunt Anne Crimson got off there. She looked at the situation and sighed deeply, and spoke to Scarlett.

“You go to Factory 1.”

“The Factory 1?”

“It was Arnold's job, but you made him like that.”

“It was Arnold who first….”

“Oh, don't talk back. It's the first time I've seen a kid like you who only makes unpleasant things happen."

Anne Crimson said, fed up and ran to Arnold.

Scarlett still looked slightly hurt by Anne's words, who was the best of her uncle's family. Still, she didn't want to miss the opportunity to see Factory 1 for the first time, so she left the police station feeling pity for Issac.

Factory 1 was an extremely secretive workshop where the best engineers of the Crimson family gathered.

Scarlett had been here many times with her parents. There was a master room in the workshop, where only her parents could enter.

Once, Scarlett sat down and cried that she would not go home if they didn't let her in because she was curious, so her father hugged his child and showed her around the master room once. The master room was a space for making Crimson components.

Crimson components continued to evolve, and Scarlett's parents developed a great invention that would dramatically increase the clock's accuracy and overcome the pressure of falling into the sea or the gravitational force of flying in the future. Her parents boasted that their components would be used not only for watches but also for flights and navigation.
