Chapter 161: Inheritance of Mohism

  Chapter 161 Mohist Inheritance

Since we have already arrived at the place where Yuan Shu is stationed, the accommodation conditions are much better than camping in the wild. Not to mention Fei Qianyiji, who is the envoy and deputy envoy, Huang Zhong and Huang Chengneng, who are leading the soldiers, can share a room.

Of course, Fei Qian and Yi Ji shared a room, while Huang Zhong and Huang Cheng shared a room.

Huang Zhong didn't seem to be particularly concerned about this aspect. After using the dried meat, he went back to the room and touched the things hidden in his arms. His expression was still somewhat dignified, obviously worried about his son's condition.

Huang Cheng pursed his lips and said nothing. Although he looked simple and honest on the outside, his mind was not rough. He knew that although some innocuous words of comfort were easy to say, they didn't actually mean much.

He has also heard a little about Huang Zhong's son's illness. Huang Cheng also sympathizes with Huang Zhong's experience, but it doesn't mean that he can blindly pour out these cheap sympathetic words to Huang Zhong. People feel comforted, but it will make people more disgusted.

Especially for someone as skilled as Huang Zhong, he must have his own self-esteem.

Huang Cheng felt that he could only give Huang Zhong a quiet space, perhaps doing so would be the greatest comfort and support for Huang Zhong.

This time, Huang Chengyan, the Patriarch of the Huang family, had talked with Huang Cheng before he left to accompany Fei Qian on his mission. Huang Cheng was also looking forward to this matter.

If Huang Chengyan, the patriarch of the Huang family, inherited more of the skillful craftsmen of Hu Feizi of the Mohist school, then Huang Zhong and Huang Chengcheng inherited more of the martial arts of the Mohist school.

During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, the Mohism was able to become a huge non-governmental organization that crossed national borders, and it was impossible to achieve it without a certain amount of force. And these things that have been passed down, on the one hand, suffered heavy pressure from the court at that time in the subsequent years. The shock, on the one hand, was also squeezed by other schools, so from recruiting apprentices, it gradually became a family tradition, no longer taught to outsiders, and the Mohist school completely became a hermit school, bidding farewell to the once incomparably beautiful stage .

After many generations of evolution, some things have been permanently lost, and some other knowledge has been added. This leads to the fact that although they come from the same source, the martial arts practiced by Huang Zhong and Huang Cheng are not exactly the same.

Among the hundreds of schools of thought in the pre-Qin period, the four schools of Confucianism, Mohism, Taoism, and Legalism had the greatest influence.

But in the Han Dynasty, Confucianism was powerful and outshone others, while Taoism faded out of the secular world and became a school of spiritual refinement, while Legalism fell into a slump after the Qin Dynasty, and many Legalists put on the cloak of Confucianism...

Only Mohism, after a moment of brilliance, either as a theory or as an organization, has disappeared and disappeared in the long river of history.

Is the morality of the Mohists bad?

In fact, it is not. When talking about Mohism in "Zhuangzi The World", he said: "He is diligent in his life, and his death is thin. His way is great; it makes people worry and sad, and his actions are difficult. I am afraid that he cannot be a saint. The way of the world is against the heart of the world, and the world is miserable. Although Mozi is alone, what is the world! He is far away from the world, and he is far away from the king!" At the same time, he sighed: "Mozi is really the best of the world."

It's not that Mohism is bad, but that Mohism's morality is too idealistic.

There is another reason why the Mohist school had to die: under the rule of a unified autocratic monarch, a secular organization with strict internal discipline will inevitably make the court extremely wary.

Although the Mohists may only have passion and no political ambitions, what autocrats fear most is not greedy villains, but sages with the ability to mobilize politically.

So, after Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty became stable, the disciples of the Prime Minister Xiao He advised Xiao to "buy more land and degrade the land to defile himself", so that the emperor would feel at ease. Xiao He listened to the advice, so he forced to buy the houses and fields of the common people at a low price. As a result, Gao Zu was really happy. If Prime Minister Xiao was like Mozi thinking of "putting the top of his hand to benefit the world", maybe there would be another headless ghost in Weiyang Palace.

Mohism was at its peak during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. At that time, the great unification of the whole world had not yet been formed. The greatest danger faced by the monarchs of various countries was the enemy countries around them, and they had to relax a lot to the people under their own rule.

But "the six kings are complete, and the four seas are one", the monarch is bound to make his subjects his enemies. Not only can organizations like the Mohist school continue to exist, but even inheriting some Mohist ideas, the rangers who take the task of eliminating violence and peace are also killed because of "use of force to violate the ban". It is not tolerated by the court.

At the beginning of the Han Dynasty, Tian Heng, the last outstanding son of the Mohist family, rebelled against Qin at the same time as Liu and Xiang. As a result, Liu Bang proclaimed himself emperor, and Tian Heng and five hundred heroes were defeated on the island.

Han Gaozu heard that Tian Heng was very popular, and worried about future troubles, he issued an edict saying: If Tian Heng comes to surrender, he can be crowned king or marquis; if he does not come, he will send troops to wipe out all the people on the island. In order to save the lives of 500 people on the island, Tian Heng took two subordinates, left the island, and marched towards the capital of Han Gaozu.

Thirty miles away from Luoyang, Tian Heng said to the two disciples: "Hengshi and the King of Han are both called lonely in the south, and now the King of Han is the Son of Heaven, and Heng is a captive who is facing him in the north. It is a shame. ...And the reason why your majesty wants to see me is only to see my face. Now your majesty is in Luoyang, beheaded my head, and drove for thirty miles. It is still impressive to describe it as undefeated." Its head, and the messenger galloped to Gaozu.

Liu Bang sighed greatly, so he buried Tian Heng with the royal ceremony and worshiped his two disciples as captains. After the burial, the two disciples dug their own pits at the side of Tian Heng's tomb, and then both committed suicide.

Liu Bang was even more amazed, and sent envoys to the island to summon 500 strong men for more use. But none of the five hundred warriors on the island was summoned when they heard the news of Tian Heng's death from the emissary. They adopted another way of answering Liu Bang and Tian Heng—all committed suicide!

Since then, all the outstanding people of the Mohist school have died, and there is no Mohist moment.

However, the knowledge of the Mohist school has been handed down to some extent, although he no longer calls himself a member of the Mohist school.

Huang Cheng looked at Huang Zhong, who was silent at the side, and thought to himself, fortunately, he still has two brothers in his family, and if Huang Zhong's heirs were cut off, it is estimated that the martial arts that belonged to Huang Zhong's family would also be cut off.

Following Fei Qian this time, Huang Chengyan has already made it very clear that risks and benefits coexist, but Huang Cheng feels that it is worth taking the risk. He does not want his martial arts to be annihilated silently. The ability to open up a new world.

Huang Cheng suddenly heard something, stood up quickly, quietly walked to the door, carefully opened the door a little, looked out, and saw the deputy envoy Yi Ji sticking out his head from the room, poking his head He looked left and right, then tiptoed outside with his robe in hand...

Where did Huang Zhong's martial arts skills come from? Anyway, it’s not mentioned in the history, so let’s follow mine... In history, the Mohism is indeed very important. You can tell the big bosses of the country that you are not allowed to fight, or I will beat you... After writing this chapter, it is 3 o’clock in the morning...
