Chapter 2574: outstanding

  Chapter 2574 Outstanding people

  The Western Regions are huge.

The West Sea is not small either.

The Xihai Conference held on the edge of Xihai City in the Western Regions obviously cannot be said to be small in scale.

All countries in the Western Regions, large and small, sent envoys to attend the meeting.

The meeting was originally to be held in the fall, but it was decided by Lu Bu's head-scratching, and the organization and coordination ability of his subordinates was not very strong, so from the dispatch of cavalry to inform, to the sparse arrival of the countries in the Western Regions , it will inevitably prolong the overall time.

However, fortunately, there was an old camp here in Xihai where the city was built, so it was not a big problem to temporarily plan it as a residence. At the same time, most of these envoys who came from all over the Western Regions would bring some cattle, sheep and livestock. So the food is okay, it's just that the weather is cold and the coal consumption is more.

With the deepening of Fiqian's development of the Western Regions, the demand for a large amount of minerals has brought about the economic development of the Western Regions.

There are mines in the Western Regions.

   There are really mines.

Moreover, most of these minerals in the Western Regions have never been mined before, so most of them are still surface minerals that are relatively easy to mine, and there is no need to dig deep into the ground. At the same time, the primary use of coal and oil makes the Western Regions It has also been greatly relieved in terms of heating, reducing damage to native fragile plants.

The merchants who came and went took away the ore and brought more food and daily necessities.

The howling cold wind and the heavy snow can only temporarily suppress the desire of the merchants to make money, and then when the snow melts, a large number of caravans will gather from all over the Western Regions to the West Sea, and then from the West Sea to Yumen Pass, Enter the mainland of Dahan.

For these people from the Western Regions, they are more willing to submit to the big man, not only because of the force that Lu Bu showed before, but more importantly, the big man can bring them more money-making opportunities than the previous Guishuang, and make their lives easier. can get better. As for the more prestigious emperor of Guishuang, or the stronger emperor of the Han Dynasty, people in the Western Regions don't really care much.

The Western Regions are chaotic, and they are tolerant because of the chaos.

There are war losers from various countries here, as well as various criminals who have committed crimes and fled here. It is difficult to survive in this area without force, but it will also die quickly by relying entirely on force.

No one knows whether the kind-hearted guy at the moment had human life in his hands before, and it is also unclear whether there is a prince in the desert in a small wandering tribe.

Arrogance and arrogance will lead to disasters, not only in the Western Regions, but in many places.

But many people don't know this.

『Heaven does not give birth to Zhongni, eternity is like a long night. ’ said the Confucianist.

『Lao Tzu was not born in heaven, eternity is like a long night. ’ This is what Lao Zhuang said.

『The Tathagata is not born in the sky, and the ages are like a long night. ’ This is what the disciples of Buddhism said.

Okay, anyway, for ordinary people, it is basically "Long Night".

Since it is a long night, lights are naturally needed.

『Loyalty and filial piety, finally stand up. 』Confucianism believes that loyalty and filial piety are the bright lights.

『Natural, quiet and inaction. 』Lao Zhuang believes that the heaven and the earth have their own bright lights.

Buddhists came, pointing to the sky with one hand and pointing to the ground with the other, "I am the bright light!" Purdue all beings in the world! 』

Like the eminent monk Gaba who came from rest, with a white beard and eyebrows, he still came to the Xihai Conference with the great wish of purifying all living beings and passing on the Dharma.

The eminent monk Gaba is proficient in Buddhism. He is an orphan. He grew up with monks and devoted his whole life to the Buddha. This time I came to the Western Regions because I heard that there is a "big devil" in the Western Regions, whose hands are **** and murderous.

So here comes the high Sangha.

Then I met the "big devil", Lu Bu.

The eminent Seng Jiaba was going to influence and persuade Lu Bu to let Lu Bu put down the butcher knife and become a Buddha immediately.

Because this is the supreme merit for the eminent Sangha, and the eminent Sangha believes that this is something that benefits the common people.

Gao Seng Jiaba has seen the suffering of many ordinary people, and knows that under the prosperity of the Western Regions, there are still a large number of ordinary people who are oppressed, so for Gao Seng Jiaba, less killing means more accumulation of virtue.

   This is actually not wrong.

Because for the majority of ordinary people, from ancient times to later generations, they basically belong to the exploited class. The "long night" is long. Where the light can't reach, there are still some ghosts moving in the dark.

But Gao Sanghaba forgot one thing, that is, everything has two sides. Where you sit on your buttocks, the scenery you see may be what it looks like. If your buttocks are tilted, the scenery will change.

When Buddhism spread to the Western Regions, it was very popular among the people of the Western Regions.

This point can be proved from the large-scale grottoes of later generations, or Buddhist statues and murals.

Moreover, when Buddhism first spread, those devout monks could indeed do some extraordinary things, such as walking thousands of miles to learn scriptures or something. Those who have strong beliefs and practice them will always got people's respect.

Under such influence, Lu Bu also became interested in Buddhism...

Well, at first it was really just a little interest.

If Zheng Xuan was the only one in Qinglong Temple in Chang'an, then here in Xihai City in the Western Regions, it basically became a Buddhist Purdue Conference.

Like most religions, Buddhism is quite deceptive. Self-justified religious concepts can explain many natural phenomena that were incomprehensible at the time. The theory of persuading people to be good will also help stabilize society and make the people's tolerance corresponding. expansion enhancement. Just like expanding the capacity of a small-capacity mobile phone, those unsightly and sad photos stored in the hard disk before have been formatted and replaced with a larger and more capable memory space.

People of later generations can naturally look at history, and then under the filter of technology, they can see clearly the context of Buddhism, or the context of most religions. It is basically impossible to have a clear understanding of the ins and outs of Buddhism.

Any religion is not independent of economy and politics.

Although religion often pays attention to spiritual things, no matter how spiritual people are, they still need to eat. Naturally, food needs material things, and economic and political considerations must be considered.

Buddhism is like this. The same goes for other religions.

In ancient India, or called body poison, why did Buddhism arise?

It's not that Buddhism really has the inspiration of "Buddha", but because Ashoka himself is of the blood of Sudra, so he became a warrior, instead of performing prayers like most Brahmins Priest. Therefore, Ashoka was naturally disgusted with Brahmanism. He naturally needed an idea that was opposed to Brahmanism, so he naturally chose Buddhism, which expresses equality for all.

Ashoka resisted Brahmanism. He unified India for the first time with iron and blood. Then he popularized Buddhism in India in a very strong way, allowing Buddhism to dominate in ancient India. From this perspective, it is not that Buddhism has self-development. How powerful, but the political needs are so.

Emperor Ming of the Han Dynasty vigorously promoted Buddhism, mostly because of political considerations.

Because Liu Xiu is dead, the first generation of brothers and sisters, followed by the first generation of tyrannical powers, and many relatives of the emperor are still alive, so the second generation of emperor Han Ming must ruthlessly deal with these guys in order to stabilize his status. In the political environment, Buddhism was introduced.

Another example is Li Shimin in the Tang Dynasty. He has five-eighths of Xianbei blood. Of course, the so-called pure blood theory itself is a huge fallacy, but it does not prevent many Confucian students from secretly poking Li Shimin in dark corners. The backbone, and then deliberately belittle his identity, so the Tang Dynasty founded by Li Shimin also advocated Buddhism.

In times of social turmoil, religions, not necessarily Buddhism, but also other sects, such as the White Lotus Sect, will also be greatly popular. It is not that these religions must have much divinity, but that these religions can Let the suffering people get some superficial comfort in their hearts.

Children of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, these people always spare no effort when they claim that the Buddha of their own sect is a sage, and they are also aggressive when defending their religion. It is not because these people really believe in their own religion. , but because these matters involve its own interests.

That's right, whether it's Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, or any other religion, "worship" is required. Looking at all the religious sects that have appeared in history, there is only one religion that does not need to pay offerings or fees of. This offering does not simply refer to a statue of a **** or something. It may be "five buckets of rice", or "tithe", or "zaka".

   Lu Bu met Jiaba.

At first, Lu Bu didn't take it seriously.

When the eminent Seng Jiaba saw Lu Bu, his eyes were in tears.

Lu Bu was very strange, so he asked.

Great Sangha Baba said that he saw a soul struggling in a sea of blood...

Lu Bu was stunned, and immediately laughed and left.

But a few days later, Lu Bu came back again, bowed down in front of Jiaba, met with him, and then brought an offering to the Buddha.

The eminent Seng Jiaba dismissed the gold and silver money, and insisted on not accepting it, saying that it is enough for Lu Bu to distribute the money to ordinary people. This is also to resolve the karma of those **** souls on Lu Bu.

"The benefactor is indeed the one who should be robbed..." Gaba joined his hands together and said, "That day in Dawan, the old monk suddenly saw a **** aura rushing into the sky on the mountain, and all the surrounding creatures fell to the ground, terrified. The chime made a strange sound, which lasted for three days..."

Gaba looked at Lu Bu calmly, "When the general came, the Buddha bell brought by the old monk rang again independently, and the old monk realized that the **** smell should be on the donor..."

The other two monks beside Gaba also opened their mouths, proving that what Gaba said is true, they all heard the bell, the bell rang even though no one was ringing it...

In fact, this method still exists until later generations. Nor is it necessarily present in Buddhism. For example, if a black brother said that he was the prince of a certain tribe, the wingman immediately knelt down on the ground and cooperated with the show respectfully, because the wingman knew that he would have a share in cooperating, whether it was money or women.

Lu Bu had never seen such a trick, so he believed it.

It's like people of later generations especially believed in bricks in a certain period of time.

That’s what the brick family, uh, the eminent monk said, can there be fakes?

The expression on Lu Bu's face didn't change much, but he involuntarily clasped his hands together, and the veins on the back of his hands showed.

Gaba smiled, his gray eyebrows trembling slightly, "The old monk is now frail and is about to convert to the Lord Buddha. Although he can't say that he can see clearly about the affairs of the world, at least he can see them lightly." However, there are still many people in this world who cannot take it lightly, such as the general. 』

"General, the Buddha is merciful. Seeing Ashoka struggling in the sea of blood, he gave advice. Ashoka became enlightened under the bodhi tree and became the Great Peacock King. He received eternal offerings and immortality..." Gaba kindly said, "General, you There are also ghosts of blood seas on his body. These ghosts are the general's karma, which will affect the general, making the general often unable to calm down, unable to sleep, prone to fatigue, and sometimes have headaches, pain in arms and legs... That is not a disease, general, that is The ghosts in the sea of blood are biting the body of the general...』

Lu Bu subconsciously looked at his hands, then stretched his waist.

In the past few years, as Lu Bu got older, he gradually felt some inexplicable muscle pain, easy fatigue, light sleep and insomnia, memory loss, dizziness, headache, depression, body weight loss, and decreased sexual function...

   Is this a ghost?

Lu Bu was somewhat terrified. After he felt unwell, he invited a doctor, but most of the doctors just prescribed warm and nourishing prescriptions, saying that Lu Bu was deficient in qi and blood, and so on. As a result, these symptoms of Lu Bu did not get better after taking the decoction , It's really like a ghost, entangled endlessly.

And these symptoms have a special name in later generations, "war syndrome".

Adrenaline is a hormone that is secreted in large quantities under extreme stimulation, especially in the battlefield. It can make people breathe faster, the heartbeat and blood flow faster, and the pupils dilate, providing more energy for physical activities and making the reaction faster. Thereby protecting the human body from injury and avoiding risks. But the same will also bring various side effects, which often act directly on the nerves of the human body. Once the nerves are damaged, they cannot repair themselves like superficial wounds.

Not only Lu Bu, but also many generals who were on the battlefield in history. After leaving the battlefield, there will be various problems. Even Huo Qubing’s inexplicable disease may also be "war syndrome".

It’s like Lu Bu now, sometimes after getting up, he still seems to feel the extremely strong, slightly sweet smell of blood in his mouth, and the breath he breathes is cloudy and hot, as if something is burning inside his body.

Lu Bu never mentioned this to others.

So he couldn't help being a little frightened.

Sickness, everything seems to be the same as what the monk said.

『Master, you think I can also become a Buddha? ’ Lu Bu asked.

『Everyone can become a Buddha. 』Jaba still spoke in a leisurely manner, as if he was talking about the simple truth that there is day and night.

『Master, can you explain in more detail? 』Lu Bu looked at Jiaba, with a hint of longing in his eyes.

Jiaba nodded, his beard and hair fluttering gently in the wind, and said: "The Buddha is a human being, and a human being can naturally become a Buddha." 』

Lu Bu said: "I thought the Buddha wanted a certain kind of person..."

Gaba raised his head and looked at the incomparably blue sky of the Western Regions, his eyes seemed to reflect incomparable sincerity, "Buddha, he also lives under this sky, just like you and me." 』

Lu Bu also looked up at the sky. "In that case, where did the Buddha end up going? 』

『Buddha went to the hearts of the world, in order to lighten the heart of Buddha in the hearts of the world. Gaba said slowly, "Everyone in the world has karmic obstacles. If the karmic obstacles are not removed, even if you don't see the Buddha's mind, you will not be able to become a Buddha." If the donor finds the Buddha's mind, he can become a Buddha...』

Leaving from the West City Conference, Lu Bu didn't feel any epiphany after listening to Jiaba's words, on the contrary, he became even more confused. On the one hand, Jiaba was indeed referring to some of Lu Bu's current physical conditions, such as joint pain, inexplicable headaches, etc. On the other hand, Lu Bu did not feel that he had any "Buddha Heart".

   Lu Bu was confused.

Lu Bu's solution to confusion is to drink.

After drinking, my waist and head no longer hurt, and the dark things in my heart no longer surface, and everything becomes better.

Plus rose peach wine, which is prolific in the Western Regions...

Lu Bu is often intoxicated and unwilling to wake up.

Envoys from various countries in the Western Regions have arrived at the West Sea Conference one after another. They met the drunken Lu Bu on the West Sea, and then presented exquisite gold, silver and jade wares. They were in awe and joy to see Lu Bu indulging in wine.

On one side are eminent Buddhist monks speaking about Buddhism, and on the other side are mortals and secular Hu Qunxuan.

When the old monk Gaba told about the Dharma, everyone looked solemn, and when they saw the fair-skinned bearded girl's high-fluttering skirt, they whistled wildly.

On the one hand, they are talking earnestly about killing less and all beings are equal. On the other hand, they press the cattle and sheep to the ground, white knives go in and red knives come out, and large pieces of beef and mutton are thrown into the soup pot for cooking.

During the prayer meeting presided over by eminent monks such as Gaba, countless believers knelt down to the ground, and the scene was extremely solemn. After the puja, there were also countless people holding meat and bones, dripping on their beards and clothes.

The Han people have not actually controlled the Western Regions for a long time, but they have left for a long time.

Whether it is Guishuang or a big man, to these people from the Western Regions, they are all like passers-by. Those who were born and raised in the Western Regions are the masters of the Western Regions for hundreds of years. Although they have been suppressed by Guishuang all these years and are now suppressed by the big men, they are more familiar with the Western Regions and know this piece of wasteland. Really curl up and carry out guerrilla warfare, whether it is Guishuang or Dahan, there is actually no better way for them.

The attitudes of these countries in the Western Regions have nothing to do with the so-called loyalty.

   They just care about strength.

   They just care about profit.

The Xihai Conference, after the Gaba Dharma Assembly, basically came to an end. The missions of various countries have basically completed their missions, or sent people to leave in advance to return to their orders, or arrived in Xihai City. Purchase items and bring them back with you on your return trip.

Lu Bu left behind the eminent monk.

He feels that there are still many questions he wants to ask.

But Lu Bu didn’t know it. There is a saying in later generations that it is better to seek the Buddha than to seek oneself...
