Chapter 2631: god, what god

Chapter 2631 God, what is God?

The person who learns the scriptures is in Chang'an.

There is not much meaning in scriptures alone. After all, copying according to the gestures of the words without understanding the meaning is nothing more than a transfer tool.

Fei Qian didn’t want to simply print a few Tao Te Ching, even if DeGrandzi asked people to copy it with blood of pigs, cattle and sheep, or with gold powder, it would have no magical effect.

The greatest magical power of the Tao Te Ching lies in its thought.

Therefore, Fei Qian asked DeGrandzi to stay in Chang'an to study for a period of time. At least he had to understand Chinese before he could translate the Tao Te Ching more accurately and convey the true meaning of the five religions.

So DeGrandzi lived near Chang'an, and then he discovered many snowy areas, which are completely different from his hometown...

   For example, water mill.

DeGrandzi stared wide-eyed, watching the fine and white wheat flour emerge from between the millstones little by little, then fall into the stone trough, and finally into the wooden barrel.

There are also millstones in the snow area, but there is no water mill.

So DeGrandzi can't imagine that such a large mill, and so many millstones, only need one person, oh, actually three people, three shifts, can take care of it, and then a bag A bag of coarse grains, then turned into snow-white flour.

Well, the flour of the big man is actually not as pale as the later generations, but slightly yellow, but in the eyes of DeGrandzi, these flours are already "white" enough.

If you just say that the future is wonderful, and then eat bran and swallow vegetables every day, will anyone believe that the future is really happy?

DeGrandzi didn't think it was worth trusting. He thinks that Wufang Catholicism is a good doctrine, not entirely because of how beautiful the world of immortals depicted by Wufang Catholicism is, but because he has seen how happy the great man Chang'an is.

At least, Bidgranzi's snow area is happy.

People in different periods have different attitudes towards the same item.

Like wheat flour and stone mill, DeGrandzi thinks it is a fairy-like technology, but the busy workers in Chang'an Mill look at DeGrandzi like a fool.

DeGrandzi asked the workers in the mill how the water mill works. How did the workers in the mill know this? The worker said, "Isn't it all like this? The wheat grains are poured into the stone mill, and then the wheat flour comes out naturally...』

  What do you mean?

  What is natural?

DeGrandzi's communication failed. He can't understand.

So between these two people, who is right and who is wrong?

Whose idea is the correct reflection of the facts?

In the eyes of the mill workers, this is just a job, going to and from get off work every day.

DeGrandzi feels that this is an important technology to change the snow area, and it can make the people in the snow area live better...

The point is that in Chang'an City, such technology seems to be everywhere.

It was placed there without any disguise.

It’s like the books in the bookstore, like the debate in Qinglong Temple, like the bright pearls that can be picked up at any time, like the gorgeous gems revealed by the side of the road, which makes DeGrandzi feel dizzy.

DeGrandzi sat down on the stone besides the water mill, looking at the carts of wheat turning into carts of flour, and then at several mills standing side by side not far away, looking at the The endlessly flowing Weishui drives the water wheels to rattle.

DeGrandzi suddenly felt an indescribable sense of isolation about his past life and the world of the snow region. In his past, no, the people in the snow region who lived the same as himself in the past, could it be that they were not the same as those in Chang'an? Are the big Han people living in a different world?

This kind of phenomenon that completely contradicted his old ideas made DeGrandzi at a loss as to what to do.

In addition to the water mill, DeGrandzi also saw many elderly people in Chang'an.

There are so many, so many that DeGrandzi, who has just arrived in Chang'an, is a little unbelievable.

In the eyes of DeGrandzi, don’t these old people need to continue to work? Looking at their situation, they should still be able to carry burdens, farm land, and chop firewood. How can they laugh and sit there without doing any work? Could it be that the big man is already rich enough that these old people don’t have to work? up?

In the tribe of DeGranzi, there is no concept of old people, only the dead and the living. Those who can work and those who will be able to work in the future are living people, and those who cannot work are dead or dying.

At first, DeGrandzi foolishly asked a few old people why they could be so idle, and asked if they were ready to die...

Then he was almost beaten to death by the old man with a walking stick...

At this time, DeGrandzi realized that in Dahan, the elderly can actually provide for the elderly!

Old people, even if they are able to work, don’t have to work!

Why? !

He doubted, he asked, and then those old people said, isn't this a natural thing? When you are old, you should take care of yourselves. Is it possible that you have to continue to work?

How is this a natural thing?

DeGrandzi felt like a fool, facing so many things that the big Han people thought were natural, but felt that it was not natural at all.

It was like the answer he got in the water mill just now.

The owner of the mill laughed and said, what's so special about this water mill? Isn't that how it all works?

  DeGrandzi was thinking, searching hard.

In the snow area, for ordinary people, time is very precious, and everyone is very busy. The fields need to be planted, the felt blankets need to be weaved, the tents need to be packed, and the livestock needs to be taken care of. Everyone is busy from the moment they open their eyes to when they close their eyes. Therefore, once the elderly among the ordinary people are unable to work, they will die quietly, without dragging down the family.

The old man of the big man can be so leisurely?

Is this the blessing of the five gods?

But DeGrandzi himself is also devoutly worshiping the five gods, why can't he get such a blessing?

DeGrandzi stood up, left the water mill, and returned to Chang'an City.

He was full of problems, he found Guo Tu, but Guo Tu, who hadn't completed the task before, obviously didn't have a good attitude towards DeGrandzi. After the soft nail, he wandered in front of the official office, and then he ran into Fei Qian who just came to inspect the work.

DeGrandzi stopped Fei Qian, prostrated himself in front of Fei Qian, and raised his own question.

Fei Qian took DeGrandzi to the hall and sat down.

After sitting down, DeGrandzi still babbled about his doubts, and sincerely asked Fei Qian for advice. Why is there such a phenomenon, why can a big man have equipment like a water mill, why can he have various other products, why can the elderly enjoy their old age so happily...

Fei Qian was a little surprised, because he thought that nomads would think that old people are a burden, and only those who can work are good old people. But DeGrandzi said that they also hope that the old people can survive better and more, but because they can't support so many old people, they let those old people who can't work die.

  This is really interesting.

Fei Qian stroked his beard, pondered, and felt a little hard to explain, "How should I say this?" Retirement costs money...Well, you don't actually have a complete currency system, so you probably don't understand this explanation...』

After all, Fei Qian couldn't tell DeGrandzi that the big man is actually Chang'an Sanfu, or his own rule is not bad, but there are still old people in other places who have to work until they die, or they can't Die while you work...

『Well, then,』 Fei Qian looked at DeGrandzi, 『Before I figure this out, let me tell you a few things...for example, what is wealth and what is work...』

  『Wealth? ’ repeated DeGrandzi.

Fei Qian nodded, "Questions like this, in fact, the ancestors of our Han people have been thinking and exploring since a long time ago... For example, Guan Gong and Mozi..."

Guan Zhong’s understanding of social wealth is that it is best for nobles and wealthy households to burn carved firewood, and when there is a famine, they must construct large-scale construction projects to feed the hungry people. The nobles who save money will all be arrested and sentenced...

On the other hand, Mo Zi and Mo Di, who had some opposite ideas to Guan Zhong, said that they could not do this. Instead, they wanted to pool the money of the nobles and big families together, and then build water conservancy, build houses, reclaim land, plant mulberry, etc., absolutely. You can't spend your money on some carved firewood...

Guan Zhong said, it costs money, how can it be circulated without spending money? Everyone has to spend money and find a way to spend every copper coin in order to achieve social development...

Mo Di shook his head, expressing that he should not spend money and should be frugal, and that the population should be increased in a planned way, and those who are single should be assigned spouses, making sure that every couple has at least three...

So is Guan Zhong right, or is Mo Di's concept correct?

Without the specific environment, absolute judgments are problematic.

Both Guan Zhong and Mo Di are right. When they have nothing to learn from, they rely on their own wisdom to explore a governance method that suits them, instead of just waiting to find the one to pirate.

In the spring and Autumn period, a hundred schools of thought contended, and everyone was groping in the long river of history, and whatever stone they touched was a stone. Some adopted a model similar to simple communism, and some adopted a model of elementary capitalism. What's interesting is that these theoretical models are not There is no need to separate a life and death like later generations, but exist at the same time...

Fei Qian was talking, and DeGrandzi was listening.

『How does a family get their wealth? It is obtained by the labor of the people in this family," Fei Qian said slowly, "Families form tribes, villages, counties and townships, and then larger states and counties, countries...so wealth is born from labor, If you don’t do anything, you will naturally have no wealth... and there are many ways to work, including farming and workshops...』

Not only in the attitude of wealth, each of the hundreds of schools in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods had their own attitudes and methods, and they also had different ways of dealing with labor.

Develop industries and build workshops. According to Guan Zhong's method, it is believed that using slaves is easy to escape, and then flees to the deep mountains and wild forests. So the easiest way is to give the mine to the rich businessman, take three-tenths of the tax, let the rich businessman be responsible for the rest, and carry out indirect management, as long as the rich businessman pays the money. When necessary, heavy taxes will be imposed on rich businessmen, and at the same time, rich businessmen will be encouraged to consume, thereby adjusting the distribution of wealth.

On the other hand, Mo Zhai would say that he must first explain clearly to the people that this thing is "Great Benefit to the World", and then gather wealth and manpower, unite as one, uphold common righteousness, and lead the people with Mohists who observe discipline and endure hardships and do righteousness. Carry out production, then sell or distribute ironware to others, collect funds, and expand production.

These things, these different ideas, and these seemingly contradictory actions have all been recorded and truly exist on the land of China.

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, no one questioned what kind of doctrine Guan Zhong or Mo Di belonged to, and no bricks and mortars jumped out and dangled a fig leaf, because both Guan Zhong and Mo Di frankly stated that they did so. , It is to obtain more people's wealth, gather the strength of everyone, for defense, or for hegemony.

They are all saying, get these people’s wealth, use it well, cherish it, don’t waste people’s power in vain...

Then, Confucianism came and began to cover up mistakes.

The things on the paper are beautiful, but the real things are scarce. The more you get to the back, the more you are left with lies, sarcasm and ridicule. The hard work of the people has become the glory of the leaders.

When Sima Gong wrote historical records, he praised these different wisdoms, but after the Jin Dynasty, gradually no one would say that, especially the content of cherishing people's power became rarer and rarer. , but there is only a bunch of smeared ones left, with **** ink everywhere.

"It's good that you've begun to pay attention to the elderly... You understand what wealth and labor are, and then you can understand that only when you have the leadership of your own people in mind, can you really care about the elderly and children of the people... Well, there is a saying, It’s called “Governing a big country is like cooking a small fish.”” Fei Qian explained a little, then smiled and said, “This is a sentence from the scriptures I’m going to give you... Ordinary people will think it’s teaching people to cook. Dishes...hehe...but I think, you should be able to know what the real meaning is...』

『The real meaning? ’ thought DeGrandzi.

   Fei Qian nodded.

DeGrandzi raised his head and said with some hesitation, "Is it... food?" 』

"It's a little bit of a relationship...it's okay, you can think about it later..." Fei Qian said with a smile, "for now, it's fine according to your understanding of food... Is it because of this family that the elderly in a family can not work? Inside, or can the young people in this family get enough food to ensure that the family has no worries about food? 』

DeGrandzi thought for a moment, then nodded quickly, 『Yes. 』

"Well, if at this time, I order that some of the food that these young people labored must be handed over...as a tax, or for any other reason..." Fei Qian paused, "Then the young people in this family People want to let the old people still not have to work hard. Do the young people have to work harder to get more food, so that they can be the same as before? 』

  DeGrandzi nodded again, "Yes. 』

『What if…』 Fei Qian continued to ask, 『What if the young man in this family has tried his best and started working every day from the moment he opened his eyes, working day and night and still not being able to get enough food to feed the family? Will it appear that the elderly also have to work? 』

  DeGrandzi nodded, "Yes. 』

『Then the fields are only so big, and the pastures are only so many. No matter how hard we try, there is always a limit to how many people a field or pasture can support, right? If young people can hardly support their family no matter how hard they work..." Fei Qian's voice was low, "In this case, when old people and young people compete for limited food in the same area, the old people will automatically lose their living The phenomenon that the opportunity to go down is given to young people...』

DeGrandzi was silent for a long time, and then sighed: "Yes...in the tribe, many old people are not completely unable to work, but they will choose to die when they feel that they are dragging their children..."

Fei Qian said slowly, "The elderly represent the experience and the past, and the children represent the future and hope, and those leaders who only focus on the young and middle-aged, no matter how nice they are, they only want young people." Work harder and **** more food from them... If young people can't even feed the elderly in their own family, how can they feed other people who need food? If people in a tribe find that they can't even support their own elders and children, then what fighting spirit do people in this tribe have to open up new worlds? Your tribe, isn't that... that's it? 』

DeGrandzi prostrated himself in front of Feiqian, "Please general advise..."

Fei Qian helped DeGrandzi up, and said: "In the scriptures I gave you, there is such a sentence, "If you are too high, you will know it; secondly, praise it personally. Secondly, fear it. Secondly If you don’t believe me enough, if you don’t believe me, it’s too expensive to talk about it. When I succeed, the common people say I’m natural.”』

  『This... I don’t quite understand...』

DeGrandzi was very ashamed. He found himself like a monkey squatting at the entrance of the treasure cave. He could enter the treasure in the next step, but he didn't know how to open the door.

In comparison, the snow region is so barren, but Chang'an is simply a kingdom of God!

"Come slowly, learn slowly... But if you are alone, your power is limited. Only more people can change your hometown better and faster... You must first be able to basically learn the characters of the Han people and language, you can understand the true meaning of the Han scriptures... Work hard..." Fei Qian said slowly, "The five gods are the gods of all people in the world. The five gods bless us Han people, and they will also bless you people in the snow region...as long as you believe in the five gods sincerely...』

『I will definitely study hard...I will definitely spread the teachings of the Five Gods throughout my hometown...』

DeGrandzi is like the grains of wheat in the mill. It has been shelled off, revealing a white and tender heart, trembling, and engraved with the marks of the five gods. crushed to pieces...
