Chapter 115: Little Demon

Jin Yang enjoyed the cool breeze drifting in from the window, sitting on the sofa listening to him playing the piano. Time flowed like it was attached to each note, slowly and gently. Even just for this inch of beautiful time, it would make people want to live a little longer in this world.

This is probably what home feels like.

Jin Yang smelled the room tainted with the scent of Zhou Mushi, and could see him as soon as he opened his eyes. These days were just too good.

There were some things he had not told Zhou Mushi. When he was at his most difficult times, how many times he accidentally fell asleep working late at night, he would dream of him. He dreamt of them still in their old little house, cuddling together and sharing a simple meal.

Since Jin Yang had the concept of growing up and forming a family, he had always thought that he would have to build a family in a traditional way like everyone else. But reality and plans were two different concepts.

Even though he took risks and did not follow the safest way originally planned, heaven had been kind to him and he gained the happiest thing of all.

When the music ended, Zhou Mushi turned to look at him. His face was glowing and his mouth opened, but then closed again.

There should be some small surprises in life. Zhou Mushi did not say that he planned to take Jin Yang to the Netherlands to get married. Perhaps it would be more effective to catch him off guard.

He walked towards him and sat next to Jin Yang, resting his head on Jin Yang’s shoulder and said, “Do you like windmills and pastures?”

Jin Yang nodded, lightly kissing his forehead and said, “Do you want to go on a trip?”

“Mhmm.”

“Then I’ll apply for some time off. I haven’t taken much time off before, so I’ve accumulated a lot of vacation time. We can enjoy ourselves for a while.”

Playing with his fingers, Zhou Mushi looked up at him and said, “You’re so thoughtful~”

Jin Yang rubbed his cheek against him and laughed, “There was really nothing fun to do when I was alone before.”

“When I was studying abroad, I went to the Middle East one winter break.”

Jin Yang’s heart was suddenly raised. That place has been in an unsafe state for years, why did he go there?

“What did you do there?”

Zhou Mushi shook his head innocently and looked at him, “Nothing, I was just bored.”

The person beside him looked worried, which made Zhou Mushi very pleased.

“You can’t joke about your life like that, even if you’re bored!”

He raised his hand to touch Jin Yang’s face, using his thumb to smooth out the furrow between his eyebrows, and said softly, “I took protective measures.”

“But it’s still too dangerous! You know that place is in a state of constant warfare, what if…”

“At that time, I was thinking, since you didn’t want me to follow someone else, and living alone was just so boring, then living was just living and dying was just dying, there was nothing important, so I went. If I could go there and see the suffering of the world, and then come out alive, with the comparison, I wouldn’t feel that my life was too bitter. Even if I died there, there would be nothing to regret.”

He spoke these words lightly, but each word was like a stab in Jin Yang’s heart. He wanted to scold Zhou Mushi, but couldn’t bring himself to do so. However, he also felt unsatisfied if he didn’t teach him a lesson.

“How could you have such thoughts!”

Zhou Mushi still looked unteachable, and his little mouth was very eloquent.

“People’s lives are already full of suffering and lacking in sweetness. If even that little bit of sweetness is gone, why bother torturing oneself by enduring the misery?”

Jin Yang pinched his face and asked with a furrowed brow, “Where did you get this poisonous chicken soup from, huh?”

“Because of you,” Zhou Mushi leaned over and kissed his lips, “You are the chicken soup. If you love me well, then I will be nourished and moisturized. But if you bully me, then this chicken soup will become poisonous~”

The things in his eyes seemed to surge out uncontrollably, but Jin Yang endured it and held him in his arms, gently rubbing his shoulder with his chin.

As the initial novelty faded, the two of them needed to go through the process of adapting to each other’s personalities. The more familiar they became, the more they loved each other.

Jin Yang didn’t know what other people’s love was like. He only loved this one person in his life and wanted to grow old together with him.

When they got older, they would find a beautiful city to live in, walk around, drink tea, and live a leisurely and carefree life together.

This was exactly what Zhou Mushi was thinking, but suddenly he thought of a very serious question while snuggled on the couch.

“Hey, what did you see in me when you decided to be with me? Was it because I’m good-looking?”

Jin Yang pinched his nose and indulgently said, “Do you really think I’m so shallow in your eyes?”

“Why is that?” Zhou Mushi asked. “We didn’t know each other for very long when we got together. How much of my inner beauty did you discover?”

Jin Yang smiled and said, “So what you’re saying is, you got together with me because of my outer beauty, little junior?”

Zhou Mushi snorted with a touch of pride, “Am I such a shallow person? Besides, I’ve seen plenty of good-looking men and women.”

“Why is that?” Jin Yang asked.

“It’s because… oh wait, why are you changing the subject? I asked you first, you have to answer first.”

Jin Yang seemed to have thought about it carefully and said cautiously, “I don’t think that love at first sight is necessarily based on looks. It’s a strange feeling where your hands and feet are out of control, and you blush and your heart races when you walk towards someone.”

Zhou Mushi played with the fabric on Jin Yang’s clothes and said, “If Daniel Wu1 stood in front of you, you might still feel your hands and feet out of control and blush and your heart races, right?”

Jin Yang shook his head confidently, “No.”

“Wow, you have high standards then.”

Jin Yang didn’t respond to him and just looked at him with a smirk.

The situation became a bit awkward, and Zhou Mushi thought seriously. If Jin Yang didn’t care about Daniel Wu but held him in high regard, did that mean he thought of him as better than Daniel Wu?

Thinking about it that way made him quite happy.

“Why do you like me?” Jin Yang asked.

“Well,” Zhou Mushi controlled his widening smile and said, “I guess it’s because of fate, or maybe I’m just bewitched.”

“Am I a ghost?” Jin Yang asked.

Zhou Mushi narrowed his eyes, put his legs across Jin Yang’s waist, straddled him, and grabbed his tie. “No, you’re a demon.”

Undoing a tie is a very sexy thing, and the white shirt and black trousers he wore were partly undone, giving a unique sense of disorderly beauty.

Jin Yang flipped him over and breathed a string of soulful sounds in his ear. “You’re the little demon.”
