Chapter 34: Are you hungry?

“Moreover, I saw a notice posted downstairs in the office building saying that the power outage will last from 8:30 pm tonight until 6:00 am tomorrow morning, and the power supply will be restored at 6:00 am tomorrow,” said the employee Xiao Liu very responsibly.

Zhou Mushi took a deep breath and forced a smile. He spoke in the gentlest tone possible to the employee on the freezing end of the phone who seemed to be sniffing, “Okay, I got it. He calmly responded with a “hmm” and began flipping over chairs in the company. There were about ten chairs, and when paired up, they formed a bed.

Because he was afraid that the chairs would move around if someone lay on them, Jin Yang took a wide, transparent tape from the table, bent down, and wrapped the chairs together from the bottom, making it sturdy. He then said to Zhou Mushi, “You’ll have to make do here tonight for now.”

Zhou Mushi stared at the makeshift bed for a moment, and realized that it was indeed much better than spending the night sitting on the chair.

Before he could say anything, Jin Yang had already found another ten chairs to make another bed. He worked very efficiently, but the lighting was poor and it was not very convenient for one person to work alone. Zhou Mushi hesitated for a moment, and then went forward to help him support the chairs.

At that time, Jin Yang was lying on the ground using tape to fix the chairs. When he saw Zhou Mushi offering to help, he lifted his head from below and showed a smile, saying “Thank you.”

After finishing the “bed,” he got up from the ground and seemed to remember something. He quickly walked to his office cabinet and took out a small pillow. The pillow had a zipper, and when he opened it, it turned into a small blanket. Jin Yang put it on Zhou Mushi’s “bed”.

“The air conditioner is off, so you can sleep with this.”

Zhou Mushi looked at the “bed” and blanket in front of him, not knowing what to say. Jin Yang had done everything so naturally that there was not a hint of hesitation.

He turned his head to look at him, and the other side responded with a smile. The alluring ripples swayed from the corners of his mouth, floating in circles towards the depths of people’s hearts.

Zhou Mushi quickly turned his head, adjusted his posture, and held his own cellphone, not looking at him.

However, the battery on his cellphone was only twenty percent, which was obviously not a good sign. He had to turn off the light on his phone and close his eyes.

Immediately after, Jin Yang also turned off the light and lay down in his bed, which was located next to Zhou Mushi’s.

The two beds were only half a meter apart, which was quite close.

After tossing and turning for half the day, it was only a quarter past nine, which was still early. For young people nowadays, it was easy to fall asleep like this.

He tossed and turned like a pancake for a few rounds, and the person lying next to him, who had been motionless, suddenly spoke up, “Are you hungry? I think there are two buckets of instant noodles in my office.”

Zhou Mushi snorted coldly in his heart, am I such a helpless person? Skipping one or two meals won’t kill me, who would covet a bucket of instant noodles from you?

The sound of “hungry” coming from his own mouth obviously startled Zhou Mushi himself. Why did what he said out loud not match what he was thinking inside?

Jin Yang got up from his bed and turned on the flashlight on his phone. He took out two buckets of instant noodles.

“Which one do you want, the tomato and egg flavor or the seafood flavor?” he asked.
