Chapter 36: Gentle and Warm Kiss

The company’s pantry is designed very comfortably and is a great leisure area. It even has a feeling of a home tea room, except that there are no sofas, which is a bit of a pity.

In Zhou’s company, everything is good except for the lack of sofas. From top to bottom, there are only chairs. Mr. Zhou thinks that if he sits on a sofa, he won’t be able to get up, so he decided not to put one there to prevent employees from being like him and unable to get up from the sofa.

Zhou Mushi used the light from his phone’s flashlight to look towards Jin Yang.

At thirty years old, it was an age where one would start to look old if they didn’t take care of themselves.

Of course, this has nothing to do with one’s mindset; it is simply a subtle change that is hard to detect physically.

People like Jin Yang were attractive when they were young, and as they aged, they developed a unique charm throughout their body, which added to the attractiveness of their face.

He wasn’t old yet, and there weren’t any wrinkles on his face. He already possessed a sense of stability and maturity that distinguished him from young boys with unkempt hair.

Zhou Mushi couldn’t help but think that if he didn’t know Jin Yang, and if he was simply an elder looking at this young man, he would certainly believe that this person would be a suitable match if he had a child.

He didn’t continue to ask about Jin Yang’s company, for a very simple reason. Sometimes, no matter how fate or circumstances may have played a part, what’s done is done, and there’s no explanation that can make up for it.

That person finished the instant noodle box and pulled out a piece of tissue paper to wipe his hands. Zhou Mushi touched his hand, feeling a slight roughness that didn’t match his seemingly polished face.

In his youth, he had endured frostbite, and as a teenager, his hands had developed calluses from hard work. Despite being pampered later on, those hands could never become delicate and tender again.

Jin Yang turned around and reached out his hand to him, saying, “Get up, it’s a bit cold here.”

Without thinking, Zhou Mushi took the hand that was offered to him. The touch was rough and unrefined, just like before. But because Jin Yang had just washed his hands with cold water, his hand was now cold.

He stood up dazedly but was unable to fully straighten up due to a cramp in his calf, causing both him and the person supporting him to fall to the ground.

The stool that Zhou Mushi was sitting on had wheels, and the weight of the two of them leaning back caused him to slide down from the stool and his body, following the inertia, slid onto the cold ground.

Just as he instinctively thought it was bad and felt like his head was about to hit the ground, a hand steadied his head between his head and the ceramic tile.

This unexpected “kiss” came as a bit of a surprise.

In any case, it wasn’t Jin Yang’s fault, as one of his hands was held tightly by Zhou Mushi, and the other was under Zhou Mushi’s head, with no leverage point to support his body and prevent it from collapsing.

The dim light from the phone illuminated the space, providing just enough light to exchange breaths and gazes, allowing them to examine each other more carefully.

Jin Yang looked into Zhou Mushi’s eyes, as if falling into a soft lake.

He wanted to kiss him, something that had started in their youth.

Thick and long black eyelashes slightly lifted up, underneath was such a gentle gaze. He had never told Zhou Mushi that he fell in love with him because of his eyes.

Faithful and innocent eyes, like a little dog in love with its owner. Of course, this did not in any way insult Zhou Mushi, it just softened the heart of Jin Yang, who was as tough as steel. Just a glance was enough to make him melt.

The time seemed to pass by lightly and slowly, and there was no ticking clock or sound of moving hands in the high-rise office building, giving people the illusion that not even a second had passed.

As things quieted down, the sound of the drizzling rain outside could be heard.

How long is five years? Over 1800 days. It sounds like a long time, but if this person has already taken root in your heart, then it’s an extremely short period. They exist in every night that’s hard to fall asleep, and in every sweet dream that comes after.

When the two points of softness touched, there was a slight movement, and it’s unclear who’s eyes first turned sour. The faint glow emitted in the darkness was like a firefly at the end of the night, and the dim light was like falling into the first years of life.

In the darkness of the night, Zhou Mushi’s eyelashes trembled along with his heart, as he gazed silently at Jin Yang, and then, silently, involuntarily, he wanted to get closer.

Who made the first move is unknown, perhaps it was the raindrops tapping on the window edge that stirred the silent heartbeats.

Unspoken words were drowned in kisses full of affection. The soft lips, completely against the owner’s will, only touched a tiny bit of the other’s breath, and transmitted a tremor of tingling to the cerebral cortex, which shattered the neural center that was trying to support thinking.

In this moment of heartbeat, it was as if one had forgotten that they were on the floor of the pantry.

Zhou Mushi’s heart was pounding so hard that he seemed to have lost his mind. He didn’t even remember how his lips were pried open. By the time he came to his senses, he was already shamelessly entangled with Jin Yang.

He didn’t know at which moment his breath was taken away, the scorching breath came over, and the warm and hot lips caused a tight sense of oppression. The entanglement and struggle seemed to have a sense of mutual destruction.

It was only at this moment that Zhou Mushi thought to resist, but as he lifted his eyes, he collided with Jin Yang’s gaze, which was filled with unconditional affection.

He twitched slightly, and Jin Yang let go of him.

Starting with an unexpected hit, it ended with a gentle and warm kiss that left a hot imprint on a small mole under his eye.

Before this, regardless of their true thoughts about each other, at least the two of them put on a facade of old friends, exchanging pleasantries. But now, what does this even count as?

Zhou Mushi couldn’t help but think, even if he hadn’t kissed him just now, but had accidentally rubbed against him in the bathroom while removing his pants, it could be explained as a natural bodily need and mutual benefit, and then pass it off as a one-night stand without discussing it afterwards.

But the kiss just now between him and Jin Yang was really too intimate.

How could a one-night stand be played out so passionately?

“The person on top of him didn’t immediately get up, but buried their face in his neck, their hot breath entering his collarbone, creating a different kind of stimulation from the cold floor below. Their hands clasped tightly together.

Jin Yang’s voice was somewhat hoarse, and he spoke to him like a drunk person, with a hint of confusion: “Mushi, come back.”
