Chapter 63: Surprise Attack

Early in the morning, Zhou Mushi exerted great effort to reach for his phone and call the gym, but with his eyes closed, he cancelled his personal training session while still under the covers. Once he put his phone aside, he fell back asleep.

The reason was that his father, who was always considering his child’s well-being, had set up a blind date for him. Poor Chairman Zhou, who was exercising outside in the morning, inexplicably sneezed several times.

Zhou Mushi slept soundly, unaware that outside his room, chaos had already broken out…

Suddenly, Zhou Muxian arrived. As soon as he entered the room, he stared at Jin Yang without saying a word, for a full ten minutes.

Apart from Zhou Mushi, who was ‘dead to the world’ asleep, the room was quiet, with only the two of them.

Almost everyone who wanted to climb up to Zhou Mushi knew that no one had managed to capture his heart, from young girls to enchanting beauties, from fair-skinned young men to mature seniors.

As for the current Jin Yang, although he had a decent appearance, Zhou Muxian wondered what kind of talent he had that had caused Zhou Mushi to open up to him and stick with him after all these years apart.

Zhou Muxian leaned against the door and watched as Jin Yang poured vinegar into the lumpy soup, deliberately asking, “Do you also like to put vinegar in your lumpy soup?”

Jin Yang calmly replied, “Mushi likes it, and after eating it for a while, I’ve grown accustomed to it.”

Zhou Muxian felt as if he had been pricked by numerous soft thorns and felt very uncomfortable.

Although he wished for someone to enter Zhou Mushi’s life, he couldn’t be sure if Jin Yang’s appearance was good or bad.

Even if his brave younger brother had the courage to risk it all, he should have chosen someone who was gentle and humble, possessing the elegance and style of a nobleman.

It shouldn’t have been someone like him, who appeared warm and innocent on the surface but had a dark side within.

Zhou Muxian knew of Jin Yang’s tactics in the business world and he didn’t believe that a poor boy could reach this level so quickly with just talent and kindness.

Those who achieve great things must be ruthless and merciless!

He didn’t know how Jin Yang was able to break through Zhou Mushi’s defense and enter his world, but no matter what, he also got in.

“Jin Yang.”

“Does Mr. Zhou want me to call him by his name?” Jin Yang lifted his head slightly to glance at him, his eyes like a calm and still pool, not bottomless but too clear and tranquil, just like a highly accomplished monk.

This person indeed has his outstanding qualities, Zhou Muxian thought to himself.

“How did you meet Mushi?”

“By accident.”

“By accident?” Zhou Muxian was puzzled.

“Yeah, the food is ready. You can eat first.”

Zhou Muxian: “…”

Zhou Muxian had just taken a few bites when Chen Sheng came back carrying bags of vegetables and fruits. One of the boxes in the pile of plastic bags was particularly special. Given Chen Sheng’s favor towards Zhou Muxian, it was undoubtedly something he had prepared for him.

Chen Sheng’s rough, big hands gently tore open the paper packaging of the box, carefully taking out a box of exquisite small pastries. They were golden brown and fragrant, making one’s mouth water just by looking at them. Zhou Muxian’s little face followed the scent and leaned over, drooling with his pink little mouth open, waiting to be fed. But then, he saw the hands holding the pastry go past him and put it in front of Jin Yang.

“Eat it, it’s still hot.”

Zhou Muxian was stunned for a few seconds, blinking hard. The plate of pastries was still sitting in front of Jin Yang, and he suddenly felt like he must have drunk fake wine yesterday and was now seeing a fake Chen Sheng!

When Zhou Mushi climbed out of the room scratching his messy hair, the scene in the room was quite strange.

Chen Sheng, with a blank expression, held out a small golden cake to Jin Yang’s mouth. His thin T-shirt showed off his muscular biceps, exuding a strong masculine vibe that contrasted oddly with the delicate pastry in his hand.

Zhou Muxian, Jin Yang’s elder brother who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, sat quietly beside them with a bowl of soup in his hands. He also had a blank expression as he watched the scene unfold, but Zhou Mushi felt as though his brother’s aura was overflowing with intensity.

Jin Yang leaned back a bit, and the cake moved forward by an inch, always maintaining a one-centimeter distance from his mouth. He couldn’t help but detect a hint of a forbidden romance mixed with gunpowder in the air.

A crack appeared first on Chen Sheng’s stone-like face.

“This is the best pastry here.” He raised his hand and touched Jin Yang’s chin, trying to pry open his mouth and stuff the pastry in, but the next second he was smeared in the face with the pastry in his own hand.

Chen Sheng, the CEO who could scare employees with just a sneeze in the company, was now smeared with pastry crumbs without any dignity.

Surprisingly, the guy wasn’t angry at all. A smile appeared on his rigid face as he said, “I knew you were going to mess with me.”

Zhou Muxian accidentally smashed the bowl in his hand on the table. In his eyes, Chensheng was like a precious pearl, and anyone who saw their precious pearl being treated so badly would probably not be able to bear it.

He couldn’t believe he had thought of Jin Yang as an unusual person. It turns out that he’s just a fox spirit!

“Cough, Mr. Chen, do you want to go wash your face first?” Zhou Mushi leaned against the door and scratched his messy hair and laughing.

Chen Sheng smiled and wiped off some crumbs from his face, then he placed the remaining pastry in front of Zhou Muxian.

“You can have it.”

Ten thousand grass mud horses galloped through Zhou Muxian’s heart, he couldn’t stop them. Damn it! Why does it have to be me who gets the leftovers that others don’t eat?

Then…

Once again, Chen Sheng’s face smeared with pastry crumbs. Chen Sheng’s face underwent a intense emotional turmoil and Zhou Muxian was taken aback this time. How could such a well-behaved little sheep suddenly get upset?

The scene in the living room was very awkward. Everyone looked quietly at the cake crumbs on Chen Sheng’s face, each with their own meaning in their eyes.

As for Zhou Muxian, who was acting cowardly, he no longer had the strength to smear the cake on others like he did before. With a twitch of his hand, he smeared himself with the remaining crumbs and shamelessly picked them off bit by bit for the other person.

Chen Sheng’s facial expression was truly colorful, with bright and varied colors. His deep gaze made Zhou Muxian’s legs weak, almost making him kneel down before Chen Sheng.

“I’m sorry, I’m…I’m…if I say I didn’t mean it, would you believe me?”

Chen Sheng brushed off some crumbs from his body and straightened his features into a serious expression. “Fine, you should finish your work here first, and then I’ll come find you.”

He picked up the coat draped over the sofa and before leaving, he didn’t forget to give Jin Yang a few extra glances.

The meaningful look in Jin Yang’s eyes indicated that there was definitely something going on.

Zhou Mushi chuckled coldly, then sat down on one side of the sofa. “Brother, you’re back but you didn’t even wake me up?”
