Chapter 83: Seeing Things and Thinking of People

Some people talk nonsense all day long, spewing out all sorts of sweet words without feeling uncomfortable. They even feel like they have a honey-coated mouth.

Zhou Mushi doesn’t like this kind of person, just like he doesn’t like it when others sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him or when he sings it to others.

He also doesn’t understand where this heavy burden comes from, always feeling like it’s difficult to articulate and causing nothing but embarrassment.

Jin Yang is not someone who speaks sweet nothings, but his subtle flirtations are the most deadly, and Zhou Mushi is just the person who falls for them.

If one day Jin Yang really clings to him and calls him endearments like ‘sweetheart’, ‘baby’ or ‘wife’, Zhou Mushi would definitely not be able to handle it, not because he’s moved, but because it’s just too much for his ears.

Jin Yang as a director, used to be very busy with work, but he’s used to it, after all, he has no significant other and not much socializing to do outside of work. He just fills his days with work and enjoys the rewards that come with it.

But the current situation is different from the past. Work is still busy, with little leisure time, and it has hindered him from spending more time with his lover.

Jin Yang has plans to gradually reduce his workload.

This shouldn’t be attributed to love making people decadent, but rather he just wants to adjust his work schedule.

It would be best if he’s busy when Mushi is busy, and he has more free time when Mushi is free. That way, they can be together and do some fun things.

For example, they could go on a trip, watch a movie, or spend a lazy day in bed together on a sunny day during a holiday.

However, adjusting work pace is not something that can be done quickly and easily, especially since his situation is different from Zhou Mushi.

Zhou Mushi holds the position of president in the company, but he is essentially in charge of his own business.

In other words, whether he goes to work or not depends on his mood.

Jin Yang is different. Even though the chairman of the company values him highly and even made him his godson, after all, being a godson is just being a godson. It wouldn’t be appropriate to overstep boundaries.

When Zhou Mushi took a few days off, Jin Yang was arranged by the company to go on a business trip.

That was a very important project, and other employees of Yucheng Group had also gone to negotiate before, but there was little chance of success.

Everyone knows that Director Jin is the company’s golden signboard, so when it comes to difficult tasks, asking him to take the lead is definitely the right choice.

Jin Yang didn’t know when he started feeling burdened by his own exceptional abilities. For the sake of the company’s interests, he couldn’t refuse the important project and reluctantly agreed to go on the business trip.

He packed his luggage and headed to the hotel. In the past few years, he had been traveling for more than half of the year, but he didn’t feel any hardship. Now, as he glanced at Zhou Mushi sitting obediently on the sofa, he suddenly felt that the work he was about to do was almost unbearable.

The poor guy half-lies on the table, holding two movie tickets for the evening show that he planned to watch with Jin Yang when he comes back, but now it seems like it was all for nothing.

Jin Yang finds it hard to move his legs, but he cannot refuse what he had promised to do. He has already walked to the door with his luggage and beckons to Zhou Mushi, “Come here.”

The person who was half-leaning on the table reluctantly moved over and asked, “What’s wrong?”

A warm kiss was planted on their lips, and Jin Yang was kissing with great seriousness, his eyes closed and defenseless. Without having the chance to close his eyes, Zhou Mushi saw his long eyelashes hanging down.

His eyelashes were actually quite long, but due to his double eyelids, they were partially covered by his eyelids when his eyes were open, making it impossible to see them all.

Jin Yang reluctantly touch his chin and said, “After I come back this time, I will reduce the number of business trips.”

Work is important, and Zhou Mushi couldn’t throw a tantrum and cling to the person to prevent them from leaving, so he could only say, “Be safe on the road and come back early.”

Jin Yang nodded, then took the eye mask hanging on Zhou Mushi’s wrist and put it in his pocket.

“Then I’ll take this with me and give it back to you when I return,” Jin Yang said, reluctant to part with Zhou Mushi.

Zhou Mushi chuckled, “You don’t use an eye mask usually, so why do you need mine?”

Jin Yang couldn’t come up with a good explanation, but he just wanted it. He picked up his luggage and walked away without looking back.

Left alone, Zhou Mushi stood in a daze for a while before muttering to himself, “Was he thinking about someone when he looked at that object?”

. . . . .

After arriving at the hotel, the thief who stole the eye mask reported their information on WeChat.

“I have arrived.”

It was 10 o’clock, and night owl Zhou Mushi wouldn’t be sleeping at this time regardless of whether he had work or not. Jin Yang knew his schedule and sent a WeChat message.

Bored and flipping over in bed, Zhou Mushi immediately made a video call to Jin Yang upon seeing the message.

As soon as he appeared on screen, Jin Yang was still wearing the casual suit he wore on the flight and looked handsome and attractive in the video.

However, what Jin Yang saw was a person lying on the bed, wearing pajamas with a slightly open neckline, revealing a glimpse of skin.

“When did you buy this pajama?” Jin Yang asked casually.

Zhou Mushi was still lying on the bed, with no awareness of tidying up his clothes. He looked up with his tender and fair little face and said, “It’s almost summer. I just ordered it online a few days ago. I bought two sets. Your bussiness trip was too rushed, so I didn’t have time to give it to you. Look, this pattern is the same as mine.”

Jin Yang didn’t have the mind to pay attention to the pajamas. The light-colored silk pajamas with a robe style looked smooth and silky on Mushi’s body. When he slept, different parts of his skin were faintly visible. Hmm… it must feel silky smooth.

Director Jin felt a little restless and quickly said, “It’s getting late. Go to bed early.”

They had only been on the video call for less than two minutes, and now he was being urged to go to bed. What kind of rhythm was this?

“Are you trying to hurry me to sleep so you can call for some special service?” he joked.

He wasn’t really worried that Jin Yang would do something inappropriate, but he didn’t want to hang up the phone just yet.

Jin Yang smiled slightly. “You dressed like this today and showed it to me. Who do I need to find that can be pleasing to the eye?”

Before that, Zhou Mushi didn’t think there was anything wrong with how he dressed. But after Jin Yang’s comment, he realized that he was a bit too relaxed and could see things he shouldn’t have seen.

So he cleared his throat and adjusted the collar of his clothes.

“Sleep well, don’t look where you shouldn’t.” said Zhou Mushi.

“Okay, you go to bed first. I’ll take a cold shower.” Jin Yang replied.

“Wait,” Zhou Mushi called out.

“What’s wrong?” Jin Yang asked.

On the other end of the phone, the person raised their eyebrows and said, “Little brother, want to video play?”
