Chapter 94: Do you ship CP?

Jin Yang rented a two-bedroom apartment. Originally, he wanted to rent a three-bedroom, two-living-room apartment, but the man said it wasn’t necessary. So he settled for this apartment instead.

It’s a multi-story garden villa, and the house is still new. It’s probably only been lived in for three or four years, maybe even less. You can tell the owner took good care of it, as both the furniture and flooring make it feel comfortable and cozy.

The person stood still, feeling a little overwhelmed by the warm atmosphere.

Jin Yang took out the clothes from the car and hung them one by one in the closet. Pants, coats, T-shirts, socks, underwear, shoes, and hats were all there. After finishing up, he looked around the rental house to see if there was anything missing.

Then, he took the person to a nearby shopping mall.

The city is changing faster and faster. Even if you haven’t been gone for more than a decade, just a few years away from the city, you’ll notice that the streets and shops have changed a lot.

Jin Yuan followed closely behind his younger brother. He was already an adult, but he felt like a child in this environment, with a sense of alertness.

If he couldn’t see his “parent” for a while, he would become anxious.

“Toothpaste, toothbrush, shower gel, towels are all there, the kettle and pots are also taken care of. Let’s go buy two more electrical extension cords. I checked and there might not be enough in the apartment.”

No matter what Jin Yang said, he just nodded along and carried the bags to and fro, organizing things here and there in the rental apartment.

Jin Yang had prepared a phone and SIM card in advance. The full-screen smartphone was somewhat dazzling, and he had no idea how to operate it, not even knowing where the power button was.

Jin Yang handed it over one by one and set up the fingerprint password lock for him, inputting his own phone number and making a note.

“Nowadays, people rarely use cash when they go out. They use electronic payments like Alipay or WeChat. I put some money in both apps on your phone, so you can use them for now. Also, I ordered some takeout earlier using this app. Click on this, then…”

He was very attentive and patient, teaching this person who knew almost nothing about modern technology how to use these electronic apps step by step.

It wasn’t until it was getting late that Jin Yuan suddenly asked, “Are you married?”

Jin Yang was caught off guard and shook his head instead: “No, but I already have a partner, a very good person. I’ll bring them to meet you another day.”

“Are you living together?”

As a younger brother, Jin Yang felt a little embarrassed when his older brother asked him this. He made a small expression and nodded his head: “Mm.”

“Then you should go back soon. It’s getting late, and you shouldn’t keep them waiting too long.”

Jin Yang didn’t expect that his brother would ask him about his relationship, but they had grown up together and were still close even after being apart for so long.

“Can I stay here with you tonight?”

The other person smiled, but it seemed like it had been a long time since they had done so, and their facial expression was a little awkward.

“It’s okay. I’m a grown-up and can take care of myself. You should go back. There’s no need to hurry and bring your partner over. Let’s wait a little longer.”

Jin Yang pursed his lips. He knew his brother’s temperament very well – gentle on the surface, but in reality, stubborn.

“But…”

“I want to be alone for a while.”

“Okay, then I’ll come back to see you tomorrow.”

The city was bustling with lights and traffic, and people’s lives were getting better and better. However, with more and more cars on the road, traffic was becoming increasingly worse.

Even with careful planning, it was only treating the symptoms, not the root cause.

During rush hour, the roads are always jam-packed and today being a day off, it’s not as bad, so one can avoid the stop-and-go traffic and save time.

On the way back, Jin Yang stopped to buy some special fried eggplant, crispy roast duck, and fried cakes on his way back.

Zhou Mushi probably hasn’t had dinner yet, so bringing these back and cooking a soup would be a decent dinner.

The living room at home was not lit, nor was the bedroom. The sound of typing on the keyboard came from the study. When Jin Yang walked over, Zhou Mushi was still busy, his ten fingers flipping up and down, quickly tapping the keyboard.

“Wash your hands and eat.” Jin Yang greeted, and Zhou Mushi responded with an “okay.” But he didn’t move his body.

Jin Yang looked at the situation and thought that Mushi might still busy in a while, so he went to the kitchen and cooked some soup.

A pot of millet, rice, mung beans, and corn grits was boiled, and then simmered slowly over low heat.

When a pot of fragrant porridge was done, Zhou Mushi had finally finished his work and dashed out of the study to sit at the dining table.

“Today’s dish smells so good!”

It was unclear when this person had last eaten, and now he was holding a soup bowl and fried cake, with a big appetite.

“Did you not eat properly today?” Jin Yang asked as he picked up a piece of eggplant for him.

Zhou Mushi stuck out his tongue and said, “I woke up late this morning, so I combined breakfast and lunch.”

Jin Yang said unhappily, “Skipping breakfast is not good for your health, and your diet should be regular.”

“Okay, okay, I know. You’re here, so how could I bear to skip breakfast?” Zhou Mushi said coquettishly, with a hint of pleasing.

However, what Jin Yang heard was another kind of emotion.

He loved the feeling of being depended on by Mushi. Someone willing to live a healthy life for you, unable to eat well for three meals a day without your care, that was such a deep attachment.

The little bit of annoyance in his heart suddenly disappeared completely, and he stayed with him to eat a little bit more.

“There’s still soup in the pot. Would you like another bowl?”

“Yes~” Zhou Mushi said, conscientiously getting up and heading towards the kitchen to fill a bowl.

He could also cook, but he always felt that the food he cooked wasn’t as fragrant as the food Jin Yang cooked. Even if they used the same ingredients to cook a bowl of porridge, he could taste the difference. Who knew what was wrong with him.

“Brother Yang, do you ship CP?” Zhou Mushi asked, biting his chopsticks.

Jin Yang raised his eyebrows and asked, looking bewildered, “What?”

Just now, in the rental house, he seemed like a new person who knew everything, but now that he was here with Zhou Mushi, he seemed like an antique who knew nothing.

“I don’t know how to explain CP, but I’ve been finding it fun recently.”

“So, do you ship CP?”

“The porridge…the porridge is pretty good. Next time, make a bit more. I think I can drink three bowls of porridge. As for CP, don’t pry into my privacy.”

Jin Yang smiled lightly and said, “Okay, have some more meat.”

He was such a smart person that he could connect a series of things as long as there was a hint of a clue.
