Through Apocalypse

Before leaving the villa, Xun Wei made sure everything has been clean up properly. And all the necessary things that needed to deliver were ready and pack. It was required to carry and show that they have something to bring to their new apartment less the people questions them.

Xun Wei did have a special attachment to the villa, but he can't do anything because of the upcoming apocalypse.

After a week of waiting, Ahbao was excited to play with the uncle's dog finally. Xun Wei places Ahbao on the car with Cray. The dog, like Ahbao, was also excited, barking, and playing with him. Huang Jin was smiling and laughing, watching both the child and dog playing. Xun Wei was beside him driving. With one hand on the wheel and another hand holding Huang Jin's hand.

"After arriving at our new home, you can't immediately go to the uncle. Do you want to help me cook or bake something to give it to him?"

" I can? I want to help. Let's bake something for uncle He Xue and Dayu."

"Of course, tomorrow, okay? I'll check if he's in his unit later after we reach the new house."

Ahbao nodded his little head to Huang Jin's words.

Arriving at their new home, Xun Wei saw a person in uniform guarding the gate. He smiled and nodded as he leads his family to the gate. He opened the gate with the keys, and the manager told them that there are two entrances. The gates where they pass through a week ago, which is a private use by the manager itself and the owners and another access on the other side where shopping malls and grocery stores are near. Each gate-guarded to make sure that the safety of each owner of the units is safe.

As Xun Wei opened the gate, the family of three with their dog can hear barking and whispers of a voice. When Ahbao listened to the distinct voice, he was very excited and dragged Cray to where the sound is coming.

The couple can only laugh at the child's action and warned him to walk slowly and not hurt himself. The child promised with a nod and a wave of his hands. Huang Jin and Xun Wei followed their baby at a measured pace, watching the Ahbao leading cray to the garden. The voice became clear as near the garden area. When they saw Dayu barking and chasing butterflies, Ahbao laughs out loud.

Dayu chasing was startled from the sound, and its big head turned towards the noise. When he saw that it came from the new friend of his, he barks hard and his tongue lolling. The dog runs fast with its tails wagging, and when he got closer to Ahbao, it tongue's lick the child.

Ahbao was giggling hard as the dog greeted him, he also introduced Cray to Dayu and told him to be friends and always play together.

He Xue was sitting on the corner of the garden, chairs with cushions and tables were scattered and place messily. It was chaotic, but it made the garden area filled with a homey vibe.

When he saw the new neighbors, he called them to sit down.

"Are you officially moving in today?" asked He Xue with a smile on his lips as he watches his dog playing with the child and another dog.

"Yes, Ahbao's very excited, always asking when we are going to come here." Xun Wei replied.

"I can see that, and he's very lively." He Xue drums his fingertips on the armchair in a certain rhythm as he talks with the couple.

Ahbao playing with the dogs, lasted until the moving truck came. One child and two dogs watched as boxes, and workers inside the building carry boxes.

"Don't just stand there, come here. The sun will hurt your skin Ahbao," called Huang Jin as he saw his son standing in the middle of the garden, not moving.

As the child came closer, " Can I still play?" His face was full of sweat, and his clothes were wet. He was gasping for breath as he talks.

"No more, we need to change your clothes because it's wet already, and it's already lunch we still need to eat and bake something for Uncle He Xue, remember?

"I remember!" At first, the child was sad, but after hearing the word bake, he was excited.

"Are you going to give me a present little guy?" Xue was watching the father and son.

"Yes! Yes! Papa and I will bake something and give it to you tomorrow. It's a payment for letting me play with Dayu," Ahbao giggled as he answers He Xue.

The man laughs hard after hearing the child's answer. "Okay, then you need to bake a huge cake for me. Or else I won't let you play with my dog." He Xue threatened the child with a smile on his face.

"No problem! Papa will teach me how to bake a huge cake!" making a large sign with both his arms.

He Xue was not able to stop himself and touch the child's hair. He can hear the child's laughter.

Huang Jin smiled and took the bag beside him and stick his hands inside it. The bag was just for display, only toys and a water bottle for Ahbao was inside, and he took Ahbao's clothes and towel inside his dimension.

He Xue's finger's twitched, but after a while continued to drum against the armchair.

"We're good, and we only transferred this morning. What do you want me to do with the villa?"

After listening for a while, Xun Wei hung up the phone and went to the kitchen.

He saw both Huang Jin and Ahbao busy cooking. He leaned against the door, his eyes gazing at them silently with a smile on his lips. A typical day with his family, he wanted it to last for years, but he knows there living with a borrowed time.

"Who called?" Huang Jin asked as he saw Xun Wei on the door.

"Grandpa, he just called to asked if were okay. I also asked him about the villa. I wasn't able to ask him before in what to do with it.

"Then?"

"He told me we don't need to do anything. He wanted to leave it as it is without selling. I think he's still remembering Grandma." Xun Wei explained with a sad tone on his voice.

Huang Jin stopped his action of chopping meat when he heard Xun Wei's voice.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. We can still go back, and I want to take the whole villa inside the dimension."

"Then that's good, and we just need to wait. We moved after a big earthquake comes. Or else someone will bound to noticed and asked questions.

Huang Jin and Ahbao continued cooking for lunch and baking for He Xue. After eating lunch, the child yawned and fell asleep on the couch. Xun Wei carried Ahbao and laid him on his bed, and he told Cray to guard their son. As if understanding, Cray climbed up the bed and laid beside Ahbao.

Weeks passed by, the family of three well adapted to their new home. Sometimes Ahbao will play with Dayu and He Xue. But every day the family goes inside the dimension and stay the whole day. The couple then realized that the dimensional space was automatic. The harvesting of crops and fruits and even feeding of all the animals inside. The chicken was laying their eggs, goats, and cow milk. The dimension will automatically store them without them taking action. The only thing they need to do was plant the crops so that after it grows, the dimension will do the rest.

It was a great help to them that dimensional space has this feature to ease their burden. Huang Jin and Xun Wei don't need to think if the crops will rot.

The couple was busy planting crops, mainly the rice and fruits, while the child was lively playing with Cray and roaming the lake. Huang Jin warned the baby to be careful when playing near the lake. Ahbao nodded his head, kissed both his parents, and pulled Cray to the lake.

The couple did not need to warn the child because even without them saying so. They can feel Ahbao in their subconsciousness, as both of them are the master of the dimensional space. Only by warning and giving responsibility will the child seriously act when it comes to his safety. In this way, the child will always make sure that he will sincerely do what his parents told him.

Sometimes, the family will go out and roam the city and go back home. They do this every day like a routine.

A week passed by, in a particular day, the government forewarned the citizens to be careful outside. That there are signs of incoming earthquakes all over the country and tsunamis near the sea. That all the citizens need to be ready and wait for further information. The people did not take it seriously because there were no natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunami that strong enough to destroy their cities for the last century.

The government already called and warned their family to pack up their things and leave, especially those that are living on the coast.

The government especially warned the cities that are near sea T City that they may experience a massive earthquake and tsunami. The town was known for its land and sea tourist spot. But the warning was like a drop of water that did not even ripple and made waves.

The market was lively and noisy, all kinds of goods and merchandise are scattered, and sellers are shouting to buy their products.

Worker's crossing to go to work, students were running with their books and bags. Mother strolling with their kids.

A man buying goods in a store was with his wife when they heard people on the store talking.

"Did you hear?"

"What?"

" The government announced that there will be earthquakes and tsunamis."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!"

"No.. that can't be. There have not been any earthquakes for the past decade."

"But, there's nothing wrong in being careful. "

"Anyway, did you know that..."

Before the conversation continued, it was interrupted by a rumble. The ground shook, it was weak, and it lasted for a minute, then the shaking stop.

"Oh, It's just a weak earthquake. You see, you don't need to be afr.."

Then the second earthquake made them dizzy. All the people inside a building or a store rushed out and started looking for shelter.

But the people inside the cars did not feel it. They continue to drive to their destination.

Cracks on the roads started appearing, the bridge creaking, swaying like a pendulum. At first, they did not notice it, they can only hear people scream, and cars were honking, telling them not to block the road. The traffic became heavy as people kept running towards the cars. They did not stop even if the vehicles almost hit them.

In a school nearby, children who were supposed to be laughing and playing turned into a scream and crying. Teachers were in a panic, their instinct was to flee the place and never look back. But the children were small, there are different from a.d.u.l.ts. They scare easily; one after another, the children started yelling and crying for their mom and dad.

The parents waiting for their child to come out also felt the earthquake. They were startled and extremely worried for their child. Some were feeling a sense of crisis, they still remember the warning that the government gave them. They thought that it was not grave at all. That the earthquake will just pass by and disappear like any other disaster.

But what they thought was wrong, It did not stop there. Days, Weeks, Months.

The massive earthquake quickly buried thousands and thousands of people. Then the tsunami drowned and swept away the people living near the coast.

After the disaster hit them. The beautiful city became ruined. The people living on it were shocked and devastated; they didn't think that they will suffer from disasters.
