Time Turner

Chapter 25 - Art's Gallery

He was embracing a cold stiff beaten-up body. His face buried in the messy long hair. To be honest, it was filthy, tainted with an unspeakable substance, but Alfizar couldn't bring himself to care. A subordinate came to him with a big blanket to cover the n.a.k.e.d body that he was holding with a choked sob.

He was still in shock, unable to feel or think of anything else. This is too much…. even for him. This whole ordeal left him numb in shock.

"Why?" Why? Why? WHY?!

He tightened the embrace as if it was his lifeline. He was aware of the sounds of harsh beatings going on behind him. He couldn't bring himself to care even after he heard their plead to stop. Beast. They were not human. They are animals!

One of his men brought a black hair beautiful girl with sharp eyes, but it was hidden behind her spectacle. Her sharp eyes dimmed with shock then clouded with unshed tears. She knelt beside them and pulled Alfizar who was still holding the body close to him into a trembling hug.

The hug wasn't long, she let go and took out a blue soft handkerchief to clean the body's bruised face from the filthy white substance. The bruises were horrible, it was black and there were some open cuts here and there.

The girl held in her breath, so the subordinates won't hear her sob.

"Take them to the headquarters," Alfizar said with a dangerously low voice. "I'll make sure those beast regret to ever be born." His eyes were red with loathing, he spat the words with voice full of venom. If not for the fact he wanted to have what little time he got with the soulless body, he will do it there at that very moment.

When one of the three men made an eye contact with Alfizar, he was trembling with fear. Those beasts had nothing on their b.a.r.e body. They began to plead for their lives. His men clearly beat those beasts up to vent up their own anger. Their bodies were black and blue, some parts on their body were even bleeding.

The girl gave a heavy nod. She waved her hands to the subordinates surrounding them while a few held down the three immoral men.

"Please! We were only following orders! I-I'll give you anything! Money! I have money! Please let me g-" he never get to say the last word when got a harsh smack on the cheek by the seething girl.

"What are you waiting for?!" The girl shouted in anger as her eyes landed on the three men. The subordinates handled the three harshly with hate and grief in their eyes.

Alfizar spent more time with the stiff body of his sister while stroking her hair. When there's no one is near him, only then that he let his grief be shown to the world.

"Brother?" A smooth voice woke him up from the restless sleep. Last night's vision was one of the most disturbing vision that he has ever seen. After that violent vision, he won't let go of Aurina from his embrace for over 30 minutes. It wasn't until Aurina said she needed to finish her assignments from the teacher and reprogram her device that Alfizar let her go.

He had returned to his room and meditate to calm his head and process the new information. From that vision, he could guess how Aurina d-...

Alfizar took a deep breath to calm himself.

"Wash up and eat some breakfasts. We have to go to school."

Alfizar knew really well that if he wants to protect those around him, he can't let himself drown in those visions and forsake the world only to wallow in self-pity. He also couldn't blindly look for the culprit to get revenge. Especially when the crime is yet to be done.

Although if he get his hands on that kind of villainous person, he won't hesitate to make them feel that death is better than living.

As usual, Uncle Zio drove them to GIPEC, then disappeared to who knows where. Henry was sulking although he denied it, probably still angry for being left out in 'siblings bonding time'. Henry probably didn't think his role as an older brother as just a mere role anymore. He actually acted as if they grew up together. Well… not that Alfizar minded.

Aurina said she needed more time to reprogram the device and she would call him if it was ready to be used.

Soon it was time for the extracurricular activities. The class is over and all the students went to their respective club, except for Alfizar and his gang, along with two girls; the class rep, Frida Vonzuck, and her best friend, Sharile Jardoz.

They really went to search GIPEC Art Gallery just as Vianzo suggested, but it was easier said than done. They kept searching for hours but they weren't even done with even a quarter of it yet.

Today the girls decided to drag the boys with them to the Gallery and force them to help. Henry and Aurina weren't coming with them since he needed to prepare himself for the tournament, and Aurina was busy reprogramming her device.

The group of seven began looking for familiar handwriting in all kind of art piece. Alfizar kept comparing the picture of yesterday's threat message on his phone with the many signatures on paintings. Suddenly Vianzo's voice called out to the rest of them to regroup after hours of searching.

"What is it? You found something?" Alfizar asked as he approached.

"I have something that have been bothering my mind." Vianzo was fidgeting with all the eyes on him, he turned his eyes to Frida. "Where have they stored the art piece from our class last year?"

"Our class? You have already guessed the culprit?" Rachzi narrowed his eyes. As reply, he got a hesitant-looking nod from Vianzo.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure yet. At least until I see it with my own eyes." Vianzo then urged Frida to tell him where their last year's arts were stored. Frida quickly agreed.

As they were lead by Frida and Sharile, Alfizar happened to catch the look Frans shot Rachzi that were missed by everyone but him.

"Vianz, I'm curious, how did you guess the culprit's identity?" Frans walked with him, shoulder to shoulder. Vianzo glanced at him before sighing.

"It's simple actually, yesterday Frida said she recognized the handwriting, right?" Frans nodded. Frida turned her head to look at the two curiously, when she heard her name was mentioned.

"Actually, she wasn't the only one who feels the handwriting is familiar." They stepped into a small room. There's a lot of arts creation in the room.

"If both of us have came across the same handwriting and remember it, it's probably someone we know. The highest chance is that it was someone from our class."
