Chapter 39 - One week

"That's also what has been bugging my mind," Aurina said, then looked into the thin air as if she tried to recall something. Then she turned to look at Alfizar as she tried to get a confirmation from him. "Brother, didn't we bring along a few of your friends to Computer Club that day? Are they the only people who know about Virtual Hammer?"

"Yeah, and I didn't tell any other people," Alfizar confirmed. "Wait, did you suspecting my friends?"

Aurina shrugged as she turned her head away to avoid Alfizar's eye. "Anything is possible, I'm just trying to make sure. That's why I didn't talk about this back at GIPEC. The walls have eyes and ears."

"But it was also possible that one of your friends told others or the real culprit overheard your conversation." Zio pointed out a logical explanation, although none of them know the truth and just speculating. "Does it matter? Let's just move out to another country, this place is no longer safe for any of you." He tried to persuade them again, he was restless if he can't make sure they are safe.

"Uncle..." Alfizar began, "I know you only want the best for us, I know you want us to be safe. But please... I will find out whoever the person who has tried to harm Aurina. And we still don't know if the Sweinzrevs were really the one behind this."

Then Alfizar looked deep into his uncle's eyes who has been taking care of him and Aurina for years.

"Uncle, we have been hiding for too long. What if the Sweinzrev are trustworthy? We could use their help to take everything that has been taken away from us back. But if they really have an ill intention for us. I'll obey your words and we will move again." Zio fell into silence as he thought over his nephew's words.

"And we have grown up, uncle," Aurina said with a gentle but strong smile. "We are no longer those little kids that need all the help we could get just to stand with our own two feet."

Suddenly Henry laughs, he looked at Zio while pointing at both siblings with his index finger. "I just noticed that they really have grown up, uncle. Besides, don't you think that this is the right time for them to learn how to face the dangerous society we live in?"

An in response, Zio could only sigh tiredly, he looks decades older with tired eyes looking at them. 3 versus 1. How could he win? Even if he continued to argue, they still won't listen to him. He can't force the three of them to move by himself. It's not like he could just knock them out and drag their body to another house as if he was kidnapping them.

Moving city or country with that method will earn him a lot of suspicious gaze at him. And not to forget the question the immigration worker would ask.

Zio sighed again. For him to even consider that...

"A week." Zio's hand raised up to show them one of his fingers. "I'll give you one week, and find out whether it's really safe for us to stay here or not. If you can't find out by the end of that time, whether you agree or not. all of us will move to Aylsia."

They looked at Zio dumfounded, he has already chosen a country! Alfizar was about to protest and ask for more time. But before he could say anything-

"It's either deal or no deal. If you do not want that one week time, then we could just move tomorrow." Zio's next words cut off all the bridge Alfizar could use for negotiation.

"Deal!" Alfizar, Aurina, and Henry shouted the agreement at the same time. They just move here and just made new friends, how could they just move out like that?

Zio decided to leave the three of his charge to discuss it among themselves, while he will look for a way to prevent Harlock Sweinzrev from looking for their home or even trying to find information about them, with the excuse that he was going to request something for dinner from the cook.

Zio should change his contact number soon.

Soon they are back to topic.

"Aurina, the footage we have seen were tampered by someone. Do you think it was possible that the one behind all of this is someone with computer skill? Someone with a quick access to that computer in Computer Club." Alfizar wondered.

"It's possible, but the one with the most skill in hacking in Computer Club is Cathleen. But she is a girl. I will notice immediately if she was the one in the storage room today." Aurina's words make sense, but there's thousands of possibility. What if-

"But what if the culprit was not working alone?" Henry voiced out Alfizar's thought.

"That was also possible." Aurina nodded. "Now there's no use for us to squeeze our brain dry to think about this. The only way for us to find out is by infiltrating the backup database." Aurina held up her Virtual Hammer. "But when we are at it, no one can find out that my Virtual Hammer is alright and that we are using 'that' computer."

"And to do that, when could we go to computer club without anyone noticing?" Henry asked.

"What about late at night? There's no one at school in the middle of the night right?" Alfizar suggested, but Henry refused his idea without even considering it.

"Of course there will be no one." Henry laughed at him. "No one could get into GIPEC with the gate, door, EVERYTHING locked down! They have such an impressive security!" Actually, it's not weird that Alfizar not aware of that. After all, he just joins GIPEC only for a few days.

"Then when?"

"Weekend. The school is open but not many students will be going to GIPEC. Let's just hope there's no one at the Computer Club." Henry suggested.
