Chapter 52 - Hesitation (1)

Aurina really didn't see anything that could help Cathleen go unnoticed to the worker in the security office.

"Does it really matter how she did it?" Henry asked ignoring the angry look Aurina shot him.

"Of course it does matter to me!" Aurina said as she pointed at herself. "Do you know why I'm learning how to hack?!" Henry stepped back from Aurina with a surprised expression, he just stepped on a landmine.

"I don't want to be a helpless little princess that need her brother to protect her! At least I want to be useful! I can't fight like you do Henry, but I have a brain. My skill is not that high yet, that's why I've been relying on devices. If I know that there's another device that could help me to become more useful to brother, of course, I will find it!" After she was done talking, she was breathless. Then she seems to be snapped out of it, Aurina's eyes widened with shame.

"Sorry, I'm going too far. So brother, what will you do with this proof?" Aurina said as she tried to move the conversation forward. Henry stood awkwardly behind her as she staring at Alfizar.

The question that Alfizar avoid has finally come. What will he do now? That's right before he confronts Vianzo about it, he should try to make contact with Harloz first. The sooner the better.

"Let's talk to uncle. I need him to help me contact Mr. Sweinzrev." Alfizar said as he stood up.

"Wait, why would you need to contact the Sweinzrev, Alfi?" Henry asked curiously.

"I need to know why he would let Vianzo kept framing him like that. And I need to know why Vianzo do what he did." Alfizar answered him. Soon, the three make their way to Zio's room, Alfizar knocked a few times while calling out to their Uncle.

"Come in, the door is not locked." Zio's muffled voice was heard from behind the closed door.

A ragged looking Zio was sitting in front of his computer while reading something like a data report. The desk was messy with papers. Another table beside the computer desk is messy with glass tubes with unknown colorful substances inside it. The room is reek of chemical essence. The bed is unmade. The room looks like a thief just broke in and messed everything for the sake of looking for valuable goods.

The three were not surprised by the messy room. After all, their uncle has another identity other than just a normal family doctor. He is a scientist that research uncurable disease, but forced leave his post for their sake. But he somehow could still keep his job as a scientist like this.

***Ten minutes ago***

Zio was tired.

But that doesn't mean he wants to stop to care about them. He already cared about them too much to let go. And that kind of thought has never crossed his mind. Harlock Sweinzrev now probably already know that they are living in the Rulid City. But with his skill after forging numerous doc.u.ments, it won't be easy for Harlock to find their address. After all, the address GIPEC has on them is not the real one. And the owner name of this house is different.

But, knowing how much power Harlock actually has, it won't be hard for him to find them. Zio pulled his hair out of frustration. But he was also relieved at the same time. Harlock doesn't seem to order someone to investigate their whereabouts, because he is not here in their house right now, and actually keep calling him asking for his address.

If Harlock was really the one they should be avoiding now, he will be here by the night time after Zio called him that day, and he will be dead by now. But he is not here and seems like waiting for Zio to tell Harlock himself. Although Zio doesn't know much about business, Sweinzrev group doesn't seem to be having any working relationship with their company.

Other than personal relationship as good friends, Harlock doesn't have any reason to kill them. And he won't get anything out of it.

"Come on Zio. We haven't met each other for years. I just arrived at Rulid city's airport. Why don't you pick me up and we are going to have a good talk!" Harlock's voice was heard from Zio's phone. He has been bothering Zio for their home address since Zio called him that day.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Harlock. You already know that I can't. What if someone follows you to my house and finds us?!" Zio waved his hands around although Harlock can't see it.

"Do you think anyone could just follow me?" Harlock chuckling from the other side of the phone, he was walking in the busy airport with several men in black surrounding him. "Don't worry about that. No one will be able to follow me."

Zio slammed his head to the table out of frustration, right, who could follow someone like Harlock safely. That old bastard is crazy by nature. He is a good man and he does his business honestly, but won't let anyone block his path. Just look at those lost poor souls who only following their boss's order. May they rest in peace.

"You won't know what people capable of doing, Harlock. Please give me a peace of mind and not worrying about the children's safety." Zio sighed tiredly. He won't let Harlock come. He gave the children a week. If things go wrong, he could get them out from the country quickly if no one knew where they are.

"You still call them children? Zio, don't joke with me. Soon, Renata's boy will be of age. At his 17 birthday, he will be qualified to take over the company. Have you prepared him for that? Or are you still going to let that bastard to control the whole company for much longer? It will benefit him, but it won't be good for Alfizar."

[Next chapter's teaser:

"Zio, don't tell me you are really going to do that,"

"No one will ever be ready to face danger, not even me."

"Don't twist the real meaning behind my words!

"Of course he knows your mother, Aurina,"]
