To Be A Hero: A MHA Fanfic

Despite having said goodbye to Shoto Shino found herself next to him as she wandered around her school's campus in search of her friends and parents. She was enjoying some cotten candy she had bought and hardly noticed the silent boy next to her.

"So, why are you following me? "

"I wasn't finish with our conversation "

"I don't need to know anymore. I already pieced it all together "Shino said looking at him. "Your father married your mother solely to produce an offspring wielding both quirks. And you are that off spring. I can't imagine you, your mother and your siblings had a happy life. Especially you. You're what he was striving towards and because of that all his attention was directed at you. Which probably suck. You must have spent way too much time "training". It's no wonder you don't know how to be a kid"

Shoto didn't say anything for a while. Shino glanced at him twice during the silence, wondering what was going in his head at the moment.

"How was your life? "

"My life? "

"Yes. Both your parents are heroes so I'm asking what it was like "

Shino shrugged looking over the crowd. "My parents are very loving and caring. They can be overprotective, but they're my parents. They're pretty cool to. They let me make my own decision no matter what they think of it unless it's totally unreasonable. Like this I make my mistakes and learn from them. They never spoiled me with riches and such and they didn't care what my quirk was. I love those guys"

Shoto smiled slightly. "Sounds nice"

Shino hummed. "You should come over sometime. They like having company whenever they're home. Mom loves to cook. She will cook anything, I promise you. And dad, well he just likes to have fun. He's a child at heart"

"How long have you been friends with Yagi, Bakugo, Midoriya and Yaoyorozu? "

"I've been friends with the boys since the beginning of time. Their parents are close friends of mine so we spent most of our childhood together" Shino smiled fondly as she thought of all the dumb thing they did together. "And Momo. Well I've known her for four and a half years. Apparently her parents are close to mine as well although to this day I do not know how they know each other"

"Why do you call me by my first name now? "

"Because Todoroki is the name of the bastard that dared treat you like a science experiment. I promise you if I meet him personally I will kick him where the sun does not shine. I promise. I do bot break promises"

"I don't know what to say to that"

"Don't say anything then" Shino stopped when she caught a familiar scent. One she absolutely enjoyed. She switched direction abruptly and Shoto followed. "This is the most you've spoken since I've know you"

"Why did you change direction? "

"I caught an addicting scent" Shino waved through the mass of people smiling at those who pointed and talked about her with respect and awe. She didn't pay them too much attention. "Do you plan on tailing me the entire day? "

No answer to that question. Shino didn't push it. The boy was only now opening up to her fully. She was happy about it.

She was getting close to the amazing scent when another one caught her attention. It was similar to that of Shoto. She knew who it was an watched as people parted a way for the approaching figure. He stood tall and proud as he powered over them. Shino looked at him unimpressed.

"What's your name?" He asked her.

Shino didn't answer and only stepped forward. She smiled brightly before raising her foot and bringing it up between the man's legs. She boosted her strength higher than normal and kicked with everything she had.

The expression that was displayed on Endeavors face was enough to make her feel good about herself. While the hero wasn't screaming in pain it was obvious he was trying very hard not to.

"Kiddo Shino, not at your service"

With that Shino stepped past him and continued on her treck like nothing happened. People were staring at her in shock. Some in respect. Others were just baffled. All in all she gathered more attention than she already had and she didn't care one bit.

Shoto was left standing in front of his father with the biggest smile he has ever worn. Seeing his father struggling not to break down in pain was so very satisfying. He was aware of Shino's impossible strength and could only imagine the pain his father was going through. He loved it. He would have to thank Shino later. She really did keep her promise.

Shino was on a hunt. She was expertly tracking down the scent that had caught her attention, completely shrugging off any others that she picked up on. The one she was on right then was the one she enjoyed and always welcomed.

The girls of class 1A were all together going over everything that had transpired that day. Most were bummed about losing, but were happy for the rest of their team mates that made it. Most of the students moving on are from their class. That obviously served to anger other classes.

"Congratulations on making it through YaoMomo" Toru said, ever the cheerful one.

Momo smiled gratefully and thanked her. She was about to congratulate everyone else that made it when she felt someone slip their arms around her waist from behind and pull her into a hug. The heat that climbed to her face upon realizing who it was would be enough to put Izuku to shame.

"Hello there" Shino sang happily as she rested her chin on Momo's shoulder. The smile that had been on her lips for most of the day was only bigger at the moment. "It's surprisingly hard to locate you"

"How did you find me? "Despite how obviously fl.u.s.tered Momo was at the moment she kept her cool and managed not to stutter. Shino had done worse thibgs.

In response Shino buried her face in the crook of Momo's neck. "I followed your scent. Have I ever told you how wonderful you smell? It's very delightful"

The girls all eyed the scene curiously. Mina was the one who clicked immediately and started to say something when Toru clamped a hand over her mouth to silence her. Mina looked confused and got semi glares from all the other girls.

"Do not say a thing" Uraraka said the darkness returning to her face. "Do not say a thing"

"But-"

"We will not interfere" Toru said authoritively.

"It's vest not to say anything or do anything for that matter " Tsu said calmly.

"Everything shall go as it must" even Rem had something to say.

"Have you eaten yet? " Shino asked still in her original position.

"No, I was just about to get something with the others"

Shino hummed finally letting go of the other, before taking her hand and starting the pull her away.

"I'm stealing her" she saluted to the other girls as she started to lead Momo away from them.

Shino had a firm grip on Momo's hand as she lead her to her destination. She noted how soft they were despite her hours of training with weapons.

Momo was silent, letting Shino lead her to where ever she planned on taking them. She didn't mind. She never minds when it comes to Shino and her moments. She can be so random at times and its nice.

On their journey Shino stopped at a couple of stands, bought a couple of snacks. She said hello to anyone who approached her and had to sneak away from the Management kids. Her cheerful mood never faded at all. Momo was sure it would. The place was filled with a lot of people. That meant a lot of noises and scents. Shino would normally be irritated by the circ.u.mstances. But she was very cheery.

Finally they escaped the mass of people and to an empty area. There was absolutely no one around and it was quiet enough. Shino nodded to herself as she led Momo to the set of trees on the yard. She stood in front of one very proudly.

"Piece and quiet" She sat herself on the grass and motioned for Momo to join her. Once Momo took her place next to her she fell straight into her l.a.p with a contented sigh and stared up at the sky.

"You brought me all the way out here to have some snacks with me? "

"Yes and to watch the sky and to be away from all the hussle and bussle" Shino went on to list a few more things that made her come out there. "And it's always nice to spend some time with you"

Momo didn't know what to say to that. She did find some of Shino's reasons to he funny. Maybe it was intended to be. You never know with Shino. Momo was very happy to hear that Shino wanted to spend time with her. Just the two of them.

"Momo, wanna spend the night today? " Shino asked staring at the clouds.

"I spent the last night at your house already"

"You can spend another night. I actually get some sleep when you're around" Shino glanced at her and put on her best puppy eyes. "Please? I'll let you wear my clothes again. You really like them right? "

Momo looked away in an effort to say no to Shino. It's not like she didn't want to spend the night. She loved being around Shino. She really does, but if this goes on she'll be living with the Kiddos. She looked back and was met with the same pleading eyes that made her melt. She sighed knowing there was no denying Shino. Not when she eyed her like that. And the offer was very appealing.

"Alright"

Shino grinned happily and punched the air in her excitement.

"That's what I like to hear. I'll make sure you have my best hoodie, just for you" Shino promised happily. "Why do you like wearing my clothes anyway? "

Momo had to look away again. Her reason for being fond of wearing Shino's clothes were very embarrassing. A blush was already starting to coat her cheek. She could feel Shino staring at her and it only made things worse. It's impossible not to answer a question when Shino just stares. And stares. And stares. To make it worse she always wears a teasing smile on her face, as if she already knew the answer. Maybe she did and just wanted to get Momo all fl.u.s.tered.

"I-I.. Um... I like your scent. It's all over your clothes especially your hoodies because you wear them so much" She admitted it and could feel her face get hotter than it already was.

"Yeah? "Shino seemed pretty genuine. Maybe she really didn't know beforehand. "And what is it that I smell like? "

"Chocolate and fruits"

Shino chuckled. "Seems fitting"

"I like your scent as well" Shino admitted.

"You do? "

"Yes, although I can't exactly explain what you smell like. It's just very soft, sweet and alluring " Shino nodded as if agreeing with herself. Those were the best words to describe Momo's scent. Soft, sweet and alluring.

Shino felt a hand in her hair and sighed in relaxation. She loved having a hand through her hair. It's very relaxing to her. She was pretty sure it was relaxing to almost anyone. In her relaxation she started to hum a few notes absentmindly. She hardly ever sang anything she was humming, but it wasn't hard to tell her beautiful her voice was. That was something Momo enjoyed

"Ah, Shino" Momo suddenly remembered something.

"What's up? "

"It's about what we talked about yesterday. The main character of the romance movie"

Shino only hummed in a signal for Momo. To continue.

"Will you give me your answer today? "

"Nope" Shino opened her eyes to look into those onyx of Momo's. Odd how cat-like they were
