To Be A Hero: A MHA Fanfic

The ding of the elevator signaled their arrival at their destination. Red combat boots stepped out soundlessly and casually walked the halls with familiar ease. Shino had her hands in her costume pocket and was humming to herself. She was sporting a new scarf. Red by color now. She wanted a little change so that happened. It wasn't really that special. The only difference to it was the webbing laced in it. It allowed her to use her electricity on it, officially turning it into a weapon. She wanted to change her headphones as well. It took a bit longer and a lot of explosions but she pulled it off. She redesigned it with multiple technology that she safely fused together to create what she needed. Her colors remained the same. Her added feature was a nearly invincible button that when pressed transforms or desolve or whatever word is suited. Anyways. It turns into small black earbuds. It's pretty handy. And useless. She just wanted to play with technology and see what she could do. And she did it. She's also currently experimenting with Nanobots. She had a theory that needed to be tested. It was going to take some time though. She wasn't in a rush though. All in it's time.

Momo walked next to the smiling Shino. Still in good spirits she noted. Momo refused to look at Shino. That smile she wore was full of smugness. On the entire elevator ride Shino had teased her to no end. She knew exactly what would embarrass her busty girlfriend and she took full advantage of it. Momo wanted to be mad at her, but alas she couldn't. At least not for long. It was hard to stay mad at Shino. For one Shino doesn't like an angry Momo and would beg for forgiveness with the most innocent face. Secondly Shino just made her want to smile whenever she's around. Shino is weird and does weird things and it is funny. Maybe she does it on purpose.

The two stopped at a pair of massive doors. Shino wondered why doors needed to be uncomfortably huge. Shino dismissed her thoughts and pushed the door open.

"Hey Mom" She saluted lazily as she stepped into her mother's office. The office was overlooking the city in all its glory. Shino sometimes liked to come to work with her mother for the view alone.

"Hello Mrs. Kiddo" Momo greeted politely

"You're both right on time" Nico beamed, happy to see the two. She shuffled behind her desk and retrieved a little piece of paper. She looked over it and handed it to Shino. "And Momo call me Nico"

"Ah, well it's a bit odd? "

"Nonsense. We've known each other long enough and Mrs. Kiddo is a mouthful. It also makes me feel old"

Shino snickered and caught a glare from her mother.

"Read the note"

Shino glanced back at the note. There wasn't much written on it, but the signature was instantly familiar. Immediately the words on it struck her.

"They're going to attack? " Shino read the letter again. She wasn't shocked about the news. She knew the league would attack. What shocked her was the fact that someone warned her mother before hand. And not just someone. She knew this signature and writing style very well. How long had it been since they last saw each other?

"I was confused at first and didn't know if I should believe it or not. I still don't really" Nico looked troubled.

"Definitely believe it. I doubt they'd give you false info. They're not like that " Shino stuffed the note in her pocket. Things were going to get frenzied very soon.

"They? You know who wrote this? "

"I know the writing. And I know the person although I doubt I can say who. Not now. " Shino was being cryptic. Very cryptic. It was clear to Nico and Momo that she did not want them to question her further. Whoever this person is she trusts them. That's good enough for them.

"I'll take you're word for it" Nico dismissed the issue for the moment. She was back at her desk and typing away on her computor. "Now that I know our informant is to be trusted I'll inform the others and let them know what's going to take place tonight "

Momo looked between the mother and daughter. She was still unaware of who exactly was going to attack. She felt like she should know, but she didn't.

"Shino? "

"What's up"

"Who's attacking "

"The League of Villains"

Momo blinked hearing those words. She had completely forgotten about those guys. It seems like it had been so long ago and she wasn't expecting them to return. Not after losing their ace and all their men.

"They plan on attacking the city? Do they have more men? "

Shino shrugged. "I doubt it. If they do I doubt they'll be enough to do what they planned on" Shino explained with a serious look in her eyes. "I think they've made more of those Nomu and plan on releasing them into the city"

"I agree" Nico plopped into her desk chair, looking thoughtful. She would have to be extra attentive. She needed a plan. But how do you plan for something unknown? "There isn't much we can do at the moment. For now you come with me"

The teenagers asked no questions as they followed after the hero. Shino regained her air of casualness and was happily holding Momo's hand. Momo glanced at her. She may be giving off a cool air, but something was bothering her. Momo knew that much. She wasn't sure if she should inquire about it or not.

The two followed Nico down a couple of halls and stopped in front of a wall. Momo was confused but Shino didn't seem to take note of anything. Nico proceeded to place a hand against the wall and send a jolt of electricity through it. There was a small sound of confirmation and the wall was moving. Sliding into the newly visible hall.

Look at that. A secret passage way

The new passage was lit up with lights in the ceiling. It was quiete and soundless as they traveled deeper into the secret passage until they reached what appeared to be a surveillance room

Shino whistled as she walked up to the nearest computer screen. "This room's improved since I've been here last"

"A did a little remodeling " Nico smiled and pressed a couple of buttons. "I need your help"

Shino raised a curious eyebrow at that.

"Shino you have created some "awesome drone" as you put it, right? "

"Uh yeah? They are totally silent, can move at the speed of sound, pick up sound in over a 1000 meter range same goes for the visuals and it has a camo setting so highly developed that even the best couldn't detect it. " Shino listed down the talents of her created drone. "Plus they can release tiny little camera bugs that can see anything, being a literal fly on the wall. Perfect for stealth and reco-... Oh. You want to use my drones"

"Yes, how many do you have? "

"Just three. We would need at least seven to serveil the entire city" Shino informed.

"That brings me to Momo "Nico smiled brightly as she eyed the teen.

"Me? "

"Can you produce four more of Shino's drones. I have a feeling she listed it in that tab of yours"

"That I did" Shino seemed very proud of that fact.

"Well yes. If I have enough info on what it is made of and an understanding of it's structure I can make them" As Momo spoke she was already searching for the drone on her tab. She found it pretty quickly and took note of the metals it was made of. Where did Shino even find these things? Uranium, Nanotech and some unknown metal. "I don't understand the function of the last metal Shino"

Shino leaned over to observe the tab. "Ah yeah I forgot I used that" she chuckled and placed her fingers on Momo's temples. "I'll share my knowledge. You won't feel any pain, but it will be disorienting"

Momo nodded slowly. She knew Shino had such an ability, but she never used it. Shino lives for knowledge and doesn't like Sharing it unless she was offered something worthwhile. It's why she helped Izuku out. Momo was still unaware of what the boy offered though. To have Shino share information with her was a bit of a shock.

Shino smiled slightly before closing her eyes and using one of the many psionic quirks she gifted herself with. She wasn't a fan of using them often because they always bring migrains and such. And Shino would prefer her head not hurt while thoughts bounced around. She'll make an exception though.

As Shino informed the process was disorienting. A flood of knowledge filled Momo's mind at an unexpected speed. Knowledge on the in depth construct of the metal Shino had seemingly created through fusing different types of metal and adding a mixture of energy types. Shino liked to experiment and it seemed as if one of them produced flying colors.

When Shino stopped the procces and pulled away from her Momo swayed slightly. It was a bit dizzying but she regained herself soon enough.

"That's.. Wow"

Shino grinned all the while massaging her temples. "Pretty genius right? My new metal is almost indestructible. Just a few more tweaks and ideas and I will have officially made the strongest metal currently existing" Shino's eyes sparkled as it usually did when she talked of her passions. Shino likes inventing and most definitely wants to make world changing gadgets. She's fascinated with pretty much everything. Engineering. Desighn. Programming. Science. If she can make something life altering she'll strive towards it.

"Alright" Nico clapped and looked to Momo. "You have the information you need, can you make the drones? "

"Yes definitely. However it will take some time" Momo sat in the nearest chair and made to unzip her top.

Shino stared before sending a gust of wind her way, sending her office chair twirling to the other side. The back of the seat was now staring at Shino and she nodded satisfied.

"Why did you do that so suddenly? "Mom questioned as she had almost fallen out of her seat.

"Oh you know... "She chuckled a bit amused. "Reasons"
