To Be A Hero: A MHA Fanfic

Shino stood at the bar, watching her friends have fun. Shoto had arrived not too long ago and found a place at the bar. He didn't look to happy and requested some tea. Shino chuckled at the request but got the boy what he wanted. She was more or less the bartender at the moment.

"Why the bad mood"

"My father tried to prevent me from coming" he said with distaste. "Something about you holding me back"

Shino raised an eyebrow in question. "Me holding you back? Am I not the one who convinced you to use your other half? He sure as hell didn't think I was holding you back then"

"Yes but then you kicked him in the balls"

Daichi did a spittake at the conment and ended up choking. He was quick to get himself back together only to burst into laughter. Even Akio had an amused smile on his face. No one really likes Endeavor. Hearing that someone was brave enough to pull such a stunt was gold.

"I can't believe you actually did that" Daichi snickered.

Shino shrugged.

"That's a bit vulgar, don't you think? " Momo asked with a worried expression. "What if you damaged his uh... " she didn't seem capable of saying it.

"So be it" Shino was not worried at all. If the man could have no more children because she busted his balls she would be very happy. All his children had to suffer though his want for power. He treated them like trash. Drove his wife to insanity. And treats Shoto like nothing more than a means to achieve his selfish dreams. How can he be a hero if he can't save hid own family?

"Hey Shoto, how about you spend a day at my place. " Shino asked. "I'm sure you would like to get away from your old man"

Shoot actually cracked a small smile and pulled a backpack out of nowhere. Shino returned his smile. Seems he had already planned on sticking around.

"Hey Todoroki" Daichi looked at the boy full of curiosity. "If you ate a whole ice cube while activating both of your quirks, would it freeze or melt in your mouth? "

Everyone near the bar stopped what they were doing to look at the boy. There was silence as the question registered and everyone thought about it. Shoto seemed so deep in thought about it. It was like it was one of life's biggest mystery to him.

"Give me an ice cube"

Even Momo giggled at the deadly serious look Shoto had on his face when he said that. He seemed determined to figure it out. Shino was more than happy to help. She handed him a glass full of ice and watched the boy place an ice cube in his mouth. Everyone stared at him in silence, awaiting his answer.

"I see " he said very thoughtfully.

"So? What happened?

He was about to answer the question but someone decide it was a good idea to throw Reichi at him. The little boy impacted the older and they fell to the ground. Shino looked dumbfounded. Why was Reichi soaring through the sky? Who had thrown him? Why at Shoto?

"Reichi! "Yuki's voice was heard.

"Bro! "That was Ryuu

"Big brother! "And that was Yui.

Shoto sat up, with the boy in his l.a.p. He looked at him, completely confused. Reichi returned his look and yawned. The boy rubbed his eye and curled into the very confused Shoto. He was lying on his right side and shifted uncomfortably. He the sat up and moved to the left, again he shifted. Again he sat up but this time he just rested his head on his c.h.e.s.t, sitting in the middle. He seemed content there.

"Uh"

"Wow, the middle is just right"

"Reichi, talk to me! " Ryuu took his brother by the collar and shook him wildly. The boy was fast asleep and didn't even twitch.

"He's asleep. Stop shaking him like that! "Yuki stopped her brother

"I'm sorry! "Yui wailled with a book in her arms.

"What exactly happened? "Shino asked.

"Well" Yui seemed on the verge of tears at the thought. "I-I ".

Shino jumped over the bar and picked up the young girl. She smiled a reassuring smile and soothed her. She was humming a tune the kids seemed to like until Yui calmed down.

"What happened"

"I was reading the book about the wizard and he used a cool spell that pushes people back. I thought it would be cool to use it and pretended to do it, but then there was a strong wind and Reichi... " she trailed off.

Ah. Shino understood.

"It's alright. He's perfectly fine. See he's just sleeping" Shino reassured with a kiss to the cheek, before putting Yui down.

"So she used the power of the wizard from the book" Daichi said.

"Interesting. That must be her quirk" Akio said in thought.

Shoto stood, holding Reichi with a weird look on his face. He looked to Shino for help. He never handled a child before in his life. Shino found it very amusing, but took the sleeping boy from him.

"How old are they? "Uraraka appeared in the group and asked.

"Yui is four. Reichi and Ryuu are five. Yuki is six" Shino answered.

"So they have all unlocked their quirks? "Iida asked, now joining the group as well.

"Yes, but it's the first I'm seeing anyone of them use their quirks. Yui must have just unlocked hers" Shino said. "Ryuu, what's your quirk? "

She already knew, but had to ask anyway. It would help her see if the boy can use his quirk at will.

Ryuu seemed very focused as he stared at his hands. He looked as if he was about to cry. It took five minutes but he seemed to have did what he wanted to. Slowly scales started to run up his arms, starting at his hands. His fingers were now claws. The scales covered most of his body. He grinned brightly, displaying sharper canines. His pupils were now slits.

"I'm a mighty dragon ! "He shouted happily and fire spilled out his mouth. Shoto was quick to put out the fire the minute it started.

"Is that so? I don't see any wings" Shino teased the boy.

"I do have wings!" He said in defense. "I just don't know how to bring them out"

Shino ruffled his hair playfully. "At least you have a mighty tail"

Ryuu grinned happily at that. He tried to see his tail but end up failing. Apparently he couldn't control his tail yet.

"Change back"

He closed his eyes and focused really hard. Soon the scales were fading. The tail was gone. His hands were back to normal. His pupils were back to normal. His teeth as well.

"Good job" Shino then glanced at Yuki. "How about you Yuki?

"I can tell when someone is lying" she said looking downtrodden. "I have physic abilities too" she said as an almost invisible dome appeared around her. Shino touched it. She quirked an eyebrow. It was solid, seemed strong enough.

"Sora!"

"Yo! " the boy was quick to appear.

"Is this barrier any similar to your own? "

Sora observed it, before placing a hand on it. He pushed, but could not pass through.

"More or less"

"And I um.. I can make people feel other emotions" Yuki mumbled a bit nervously. She was always told that such a thing was bad, so she never talked about it.

Shino got down to her height and took her hand in hers. "Go on"

She seemed hesitant, but used her quirk anyway. She shared the emotion she was currently experiencing with the ever kind Shino.

Shino felt nervous almost immediately. She blinked as the emotion registered. She knew it wasn't her own, but her brain was thinking differently. Yuki let go and the nervousness was gone. She looked at those green eyes. She smiled her forever kind smile and patted the girl on her head.

"No need to be nervous. You have awesome quirks"

Yuki could feel no deception. She was telling the honest truth. She couldn't help the tiny smile that formed. She really thought her quirk was awesome. No one other than her siblings ever said that about her quirks.

"Yeah! "Ryuu exclained. "That's what I've been telling her all this time! "

"Yeah, people used to tell her that making others feel emotions that are not their own is bad and should never be done. But that doesn't make the quirk any less cool" Yui said happily. A true bookworm that one.

"I wouldn't mind her using that quirk to instill true fear into that bastard of a father" Shoto mumbled to himself, but multiple people heard him.

"What about Reichi? " Sora asked. He had hold of the boy now. "He's always sleepy maybe his quirk has something to do with that. "

"Oh yeah, Reichi's quirk is cool" Ryuu had stars in his eyes. "He can use things he dreams about. He just has to think of it and poof he has in his hands. This one time he had a laser gun. It was so cool! "

"Oh and that time he gave me his gravity shoes was one of the best days ever" Yui said with excitement.

"He had a flamethrower " Yuki paled when she said that. "He almost burned the house down"

That explains a lot.

"Pool party! "Kirishima shouted as he sped past all his classmates . In his excitement he slipped near the pool. His classmates winced when he hit something and tumbled into the water.

"Shitty hair" Katsuki sighed. He was stalking towards the pool all the while pulling his shirt off.

"Don't mind if I do" Mina sang. She already had on her bathing suit and was quick to slide into the pool.

Daichi had already thrown his clothes off and was pulling a reluctant Akio Towards the pool. Shino had watched Daichi Force the boy's clothes off some time ago. It was amusing

Ren had a red face as she followed Tsu toward the pool. She was dressed in an adorable one piece and seemed very embarrassed about it

Jiro being the tomboy she is had on some boy shorts and a casual shirt. She didn't seem interested in going into the pool.

Shino spotted Shoto standing near the pool and adopted a mischievous grin. She was silent as she snuck up behind him. He was still fully dressed, but Shino did not care. Once she was fully behind him she pushed him right into the pool. The boy resurfaced with an annoyed look on his face that had Shino laughing.

Everyone heard the scream of Izuku himself. It was coming from the highest plank. When they looked up they found Izuku dressed in his green swimming trunks being held up by a laughing Ryuu. His laugh was maniacal and he had activated his quirk. It gave him a boost in strenght which explained how he was capable of pulling of his current feat.

He shouted gleefully as he threw a screaming Izuku into the pool.

"That is very dangerous! "Iida yelled, constantly chopping the air in front of him.

Ochako was a laughing mess and the only reason she was still above water was because Toru was holding her up.

Shino heard a sigh next to her and found Momo. She smiled brightly. Momo saw the smile and knew to take a step back.

"Shino"

Said girl chuckled innocently while getting out of her hoodie and pants. Her Swimwear consisted of boy shorts and a crop top. She was sure she saw Daichi with a nosebleed.

"Shino I swear to god! "Momo took off running

"But, love! " Shino ran after her and was quick to catch her. Momo struggled in her arms, but could not break free.

"Shino, please let go"

"Nope" Shino swiftly turned her in her arms and pressed her against the near wall. "We're going for swim"

The boys watched the couple carefully. Daichi was holding his bleeding nose, not strong enough to contain his perversion. Katsuki was next to him with a smirk. Izuku looked very embarrassed by what he was seeing and questioned why he was there. Sora looked too happy.

"They're really making out" Izuku mumbled and closed his eyes. Why was he watching.

"Shino's taking Momo's shirt off" Daichi whispered.

"Did they forget we were all here? "They heard Mina ask. All eyes turned to the girl. "What? Am I not allowed to support one of my many sh.i.p.s? "

The boys shrugged.

"What are you guys focused on here? "Tsu asked as she joined the group as well.

"Shino and Momo are making out" Mina said.

"Oh my god, Shino's stripping Momo" Ochako appeared out of no where.

"She has a swimsuit underneath, though" Akio pointed out

"Scandelous" Shoto muttered.

Ren was red in the face and hiding her face in the crook if Tsu's neck.

"You know, Shino didn't seem like the type"

"Yeah, I know what you mean"

"So manly"

"Hey! "Iida shouted, interrupting everything. Even Momo and Shino were pulled out of their intense make out sesh. This of course made Momo realize that everyone was watching and she whimpered, hiding her face. "You two are behaving very inappropriately! "

Shino chuckled.

"We've been caught"

"Everyone's watching "

"We gave them quite the show, didn't we"

"This is not funny! "
