To Be A Hero: A MHA Fanfic

Shino was leaning against a wall as she watched Akio and Daichi go up against Midnight. It was amusing to watch Daichi get so fl.u.s.tered and fumble over everything he did. Akio hit him on the head multiple times because of this. Daichi can be such an adorable kid sometimes. Shino wasn't too worried about him and Akio. She knew they would make it. Daichi may be a pervert, but he isn't on the level of Mineta. At least he tries not to be a pervert and actually scolds himself for all the time he ends up staring. The order of the teams were different this time. Ochako and Aoyama would be up after Akio and Daichi. While everyone took the test at the same time originally, now they go after a team is finished. The fight might go the same as it went in the anime. She wondered about Ochako and Izuku. Did the girl still develop a crush on him? They are great friends and always together, but a lot have changed. The first and important one of then being that Izuku was recommended. Hence they did not meet eachother in the beginning of it all.

Interesting how things change.

"Shino,of all places for you to be" came Momo's voice in a sigh.

Shino looked at her, a smile behind her scarf.

"What? "

"Get off the ceiling" Momo ordered.

"It's nice here. Helps me think better too" Shino rebutted, not moving from her spot.

"She's one with the spider" Sora joked as he threw a candy bar at the girl, who caught it fairly easy.

Shino could feel familiar eyes boring into her and glanced at Tsu who had her vacanct stare as per usual. Shino waved and received a smile, but Tsu continued to stare.

"Is there something wrong? "

"You're on the ceiling and yet your hair doesn't seem to be affected by gravity" Tsu pointed, which caught everyone's attention

"Huh, she's right. What's going on here? "Kirishima asked as he circled the ground under Shino.

The girl just shrugged. "It's always been this way"

"No way"

"Yes it has" Tsuyu confirmed. "I just decided to ask this time"

"What did I say? " Shino smiled. "I've always been defying gravify."

Aizawa was eying his students and released a sigh. Why does Shino have to cause so much trouble. This test is to see how well one can adapt to everything including their partner. Communication is very important in the hero business. One never knows who they will be working with out there after all. The problem Shino is causing is that she can communicate with everyone. The kid is on good terms with every classmate and knows a great amount about them as well. She's a chameleon in practically everything and has little to no weaknesses when it comes down to team work. The teachers didn't know who to partner her with and which teacher to let her face. Clearly her enhanced sense of smell and hearing puts her at a disadvantage, because even with the protective gear her senses are still impressive. They considered putting her up against Present Mic with Jiro. Then the considered Midnight because of her quirk. Shino has a strong sense of smell so she would easily be affected. She would then be paired with Daichi, seeing as women in general are his weaknesses. Every teacher was considered along with every student and it was hard to come to a conclusion. In the end they placed her with the one person she seems to work best with against Nezu himself. It has been noted that Momo has a problem when it comes to her self confidence. Being faced with an opponent who could predict their moves would make this problem of hers worse for she would constantly question everything she does. Shino on the other hand is a very confident character who always has some plan. She's very smart and a lot wonder if her smarts compare to Nezu, seeing as she never gets rest of her thoughts.

Now they had to wait, for her fight was the last one coming.

"Good luck Uraraka" Shino waved at the girl as she and Aoyame left for their turn. "I'll cheer you in"

The ever bubbly girl was smiling in thanks with a thumbs up. "Thanks"

"Was I cast aside? "Aoyama questioned, his sparkles lost.

"I didn't think the oh so fabulous Aoyama needed luck"

The sparkle returned immediately. Shino snickered. She knew just what to say to him.

And so their exam started. Shino knew they would win so she just watched for the fun of it. As she watched the fight she remembered a song about Uraraka. If she remembered correctly it was created by a YouTuber by the name of Gameboyjones. It was really bopping. she remembered listening to it over and over.

"It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Uravity. Everybody's tough until she turns off All your gravity" Shino began to sing with a cheery sway. "Levitate. Float float. Levitate. Float float"

Her classmates eyed her with raised eyebrow.

"Did you just make a song about Uraraka? "Izuku asked.

"It seems I did" Shino chuckled. "Quite catchy isn't it? "

"Yeah! It's a bird. It's a plane. Its Uravity. Everybody's tough until she turns Off all your gravity! " Mina sang excitedly.

"Levitate!" Sora cheered.

"Float float" Kaminari was just as cheerful.

"Levitate"

"Float float! "

"You've got to be kidding me" Katsuki sighed in annoyance as Mina, Sora and Kaminari repeated the song over and over.

"Who's that girl that's got you floating in the air? Hope you ain't afraid of heights. And if you are then say a prayer " Shino sang sounding very amused.

"Levitate! "

"Float float! "

"Levitate! "

"Float float"

"Levitate! "

"Float float! "

"Leave it up to Shino to create a theme song for someone" Momo sighed. She had to admit. It was very catchy.

"Uraraka will rock you, lift you up and then drop you. Bet you didn't know that power, came from girls under 5'2.You can't match her wit, or match her fist. She'll deal more pain than m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t. You might not enjoy it, but it'll probably make her laugh bit " Shino was continueing this, gaining everyone's attention. She couldnt just stop after getting the song in her head. "Got fierce side after training under Gun Head. If you are a villain don't approach unless want dead. Not a push over did you see her bout with Bakugo?Might of took the L but you can see she's going for the gold"

"Now float" Sora grinned.

"Feel that zero gravity she'll throw you to the stars and make you one with the galaxy. Never really had that much. Grew up in tough conditions. Said she wants to be a hero because money is the mission

"Everybody's tough until she turns off all your gravity! " Kaminari seemed to be e joying a bit too much.

"Levitate!" Mina cheered.

"Float float" Kirishima decided to join the festivities.

"Levitate!"

"Float float"

"Levitate"

"When did you have the time to come up with this? "

Shin shrugged. It's not really her song in the first place.

"Why the hell does the airhead get a rap , but I don't!? "Katsuki practically screeched in anger and threw something at Shino. The object was caught and sent right back at him.

"You're not deserving of a theme song. You suck" Shino said very bluntly.

Sora didn't even try to suppress his laughter, which earned him a glare from the blonde.

"Can you make one about me? "Kirishima asked.

"Maybe"

"That's better than nothing"

"I want one too! "

"Shut it, lord explosion murder"

"Whatever, you're not smart enough to come up with something good enough"

"What was that? "

"Shino don't get pulled into this" Momo sighed as Shino finally came off the ceiling. The girl ended up leaning against the wall next to the other and staring at Katsuki.

"Was that a challenge? "

Katsuki only smirked.

"Shino" Momo again sighed, knowing the girl doesn't tend to back down from any challenge despite her calm demeanor.

"This is gonna be fun" Sora grinned while he shared some ch.i.p.s with Kirishima.

"I hate my job" Aizawa mumbled.

"Too bad" Shino shrugged with a sigh. "I don't tend to use bad language and we all know a rap about you would involve every possible curse word"

"True" Izuku said without thinking.

"What was that!? "

"Nothing" Izuku smiled and waved the boy off. "Nothing at all"

Shino was humming to herself as she glanced at Momo. The two of them would be up against Nezu of all teachers. She sighed. Troublesome. She really needed a grand plan. Nezu can predict certain things simply through observation. He's a master when it comes to intricate strategies and never forgets as well. What should Shino do when up against him? She needed a plan and a good one. Could she outsmart him? How complicated should her plan be? Should it even be complicated? What does Nezu expect from her? He knows her. He knows of her quirk. She's visited the creature many times as a child. He thought her to play chess and make great strategies.

"What are you thinking about? "

"Nezu we have to face him and we must pass" Shino said honestly. "He's super intelligent and I need to match that. I need a plan so brilliant he wont be able to counter"

Momo truly admired Shino in many ways. Even now when they were put against the smartest creature they know, Shino still seemed very confident. That's not exactly what Momo is experiencing at the moment. She didn't believe she could face a teacher. Let alone Nezu. Her plans are never as good as Shino's and she wasn't as adaptable or smart. She'll just end up holding her back.

There was suddenly a hand on her head and rose gold eyes boring into her.

"I remember saying something about you building more confidence"

"I-"

"Lying doesn't work on me. Don't go doubting yourself or comparing yourself to me. We are equals. I'm no better than you. You have amazing plans, you just don't believe in them enough to share with me. " Shino told her . "You need to get over yourself. Stop telling yourself what you can and can't do, because the minute you believe those words you will truly fail. Tell yourself you can do it. Tell yourself you will do it . Believe it. Believe in yourself and you'll make it happen"

Momo nodded with a small smile.

"Great, now let's work on a plan to save our butts"
