Nicolas, who had silenced Almire and others by king's order, stands silently beside the bed where Norwin sleeps.

"..."

For five seconds, then ten seconds, Nicholas stood still, and the three of them each had their own doubts. Then, as if he couldn't stand it any longer, Almire opened her mouth.

"What are you just standing there like that for? You're going to break the curse , aren't you?"

" Yes, of course. I'm working on the analysis for that."

"Hey, Nicholas. When you're done analyzing it, let me know. If it's something that can be disarmed by killing the surgeon, I'll go there and kill him myself.

"I'm afraid that's not possible."

"What?"

"No harm can be done to him."

"What is? That thing? Hey, you have any idea who did this?"

"Yes."

Who? If you know where they are, tell me. There's nobody I wouldn't go in there and get hurt.

Schneizel is ready for battle, wearing an extreme fighting spirit.

The atmosphere of the battlefield was so bloody that Gardias' brow furrowed and Almire quickly prepared himself.

And yet Nicolas remained unwavering.

"I am very sorry, but I have orders to keep my mouth shut."

"Are you kidding me? There's no reason why you can't tell us what you've come here to tell us!"

"There is. If you step in it, you will lose everything. Are you prepared to do that?"

"What?"

"Are you prepared to abandon -house, his servants, daughter, and even my son Norwin, if necessary?"

'What? What are you talking about?"

Schneizel almost kicked off the sudden leap in conversation, but he gulped at the serious expression on the face of the man in front of him.

 He was serious.

If he goes any further into the issue that Nicolas is facing, a future awaits him that might happen.

Memories of happy days flashed through Schneizel's mind.

Although he had to work a lot and did not get to share much time with them, his daughters were still more important to him than he was.

'Then I won't step in."

. He stayed as quickly as he could.

'I think that's a good choice. What do you think, Almire-dono?'

'Is His Majesty the King involved in this? If you can't answer me, you can keep your mouth shut."

"I am sorry, but I cannot tell you that.. But as far as I am concerned, I welcome having a strong man like Almire on my side. If you are interested, I suggest you ask His Majesty directly."

"What the hell is that?"

 Schneizel and Almire.

The fact that the king is involved in this matter makes then speechless.

 Schneizel and Almire.

Even those at the highest levels of the country don't know the whole story, or even a piece of it.

The fact that the king is involved in this matter renders them speechless.

The secrets that could be glimpsed from the man who was once said to be the wisest general on the continent were as terrifying as the depths of a bottomless abyss.

"I'll leave you to your work for now. I will move on to my work."

After cutting off the conversation with these words, Nicolas turned his body toward Norwin once again. And then--...

Suddenly, without any signs of chanting , the spell was activated.

A mysterious radiance enveloped Nicholas' right hand. It touched Norwin's forehead with a light so bright that he could not look directly at it, and Nicholas frowned.

"I knew it was you,. You've lost just as much as I have."

After muttering this in a whisper so that no one would hear, he grabbed the extracted memory and crushed it with his bare hands.

All that remained was Norwin, whose memories had been removed, almost like a curse, and who had no other abnormalities.

"There should be no problem now," Nicholas said. Now that the king's order has been accomplished, I will leave you now."

Leaving the shocked Schneizel and Almire behind, Nicolas disappeared just as quickly as he had arrived.

---"

Following his back with his eyes was Gardias, who had kept his mouth shut almost since Nicholas' arrival.

 He made a decision.

(I have nothing to protect. Even the position of general that I am currently holding will be taken over by Schneizel in a few years. I would be a...)

He is a slave. He is essentially a have-not, and yet, he decided to enter into the secret of Nicolas for the sake of his beloved kingdom of Arcadia.

If it really has to be a secret, there is no need to reveal a part of the situation like now.

As soon as he smelled a secrecy, it was as if he wanted the three of us here to intervene.

His Majesty the King and a former hero who was regarded as a wise general and had a promising future about ten years ago are somehow in cahoots.

And Norwin, a potential future hero, is also involved.

Considering the future of Arcadia, Gardias had no choice but not to lend a hand here.

"Both of you. I know you have a lot on your mind, but you have to let me take care of this."

--- In Arcadia Quest, there is a truth about the world hidden behind the story.

Those who challenged. Those who gave in. Those who tried to connect. Those who could do nothing. Or even those who stood on the sidelines.

Stories buried behind the scenes of history.

In the original game , where Norwin made no effort, these stories remained buried in the darkness.

Only now, they have come to the surface, though only slightly.

And then, after a few years, Ghardias will further uncover it.

At this moment, this world has moved far outside of its original game , and has begun to move on its own.

Norwin, who unknowingly showed that he had accomplished it, was still sleeping.

️.

'I wonder why this is happening. If I wanted my son to be happy, I shouldn't have tied him up."

Nicolas mutters to himself as he walks down the corridor.

The expression on his face was hidden by the sunlight.

"Why now. I already abandoned my son more than a year ago. Everything is as it should be "'
