A long exterior wall surrounds the fortress city of Auschtadt.

It is not a wall that exists only to protect, but the interior is structured to allow a large number of people to enter and exit.

The soldiers are placed at the top of the wall so that they can attack enemies from the outside with pitchforks, bows, or magic.

Inside the outer wall, attached to the wall, there was a building that was supposed to be a temporary command center.

The huge structure, which had no use except for warfare, was of such a rugged appearance that it was hard to believe that it was a place for nobles to go in and out.

There was not a shred of glamor in the exterior, and the focus seemed to be on functionality and convenience.

Military personnel have been coming in and out of the building incessantly since a few minutes ago, and it is obvious that they have already begun to move around. As one would expect from a command center, there were many military personnel of high rank...

"Please come in. Inside, the Schneizel corps commander is waiting for you".

One of the guards who saw us let us in. Schneizel is a man of many traits, after all. (By the way, the only members here were me, Doyle, and Frankel. and we were not allowed to go to the command center with the entire ten-member squad.)

We were led by security to a room at the back of the command center.

"Excuse me."

"Oh, you're here."

Inside was Schneizel and several members of his inner circle, including Wiesel. They spread out a map of the area around Ausstadt on a large desk and looked down at it with a difficult expression on their faces.

"I heard that Mertoll had launched an army."

."I heard that Meltzer has built up an army. of Eighty thousand"

"Eighty thousand?"

We were astonished at Schneizel's casual remark, as we arrived late.

The national power of Meltor should not have been that high. If they really have that many, it means that they are really trying to bring down this place.

"I was surprised, too. O'Brien's guess is that Mertor has temporarily concluded peace negotiations with the enemy and is focusing its forces on us, even though it should be focusing on the enemy."

'If that's the case, they're planning an all-out war."

"I suppose so. The actuality is, it's not just a matter of time prior to the actual negotiations. To be honest, even I have never fought a war of this scale."

The face of Schneizel is also grim as he faces the unknown future.

"You haven't received any backup from Arcadia Central yet, have you?"

" They probably won't come for a while."

The fact that Almire flew all the way here by alone is the exception of the exception.

The arrival of reinforcements generally takes quite some time. It's not surprising, since they are moving thousands, or even tens of thousands of troops, depending on the scale of the task.

"What is O'Brien planning to do?"

"I don't know. I hear he's going to a council meeting soon, so he'll tell us then".

"Can His Excellency trust that man?"

Vasel, who had been listening to the conversation in silence until then, opened his mouth with a slightly surprised look on his face.

" Well, yes. He has a bad character, and what he is doing in this city is terrible, but I think I can appreciate his attitude toward the war."

'If you say so, I have nothing to said. ------"

Vasel also told Schneizel about O'Brien's past, but that's a level of seriousness that can only be conveyed by those who've actually faced O'Brien.

It's probably inevitable that we have different understandings of the situation

"O'Brien is the best at war here. The tactic of not using us makes a certain amount of sense. Then, unless things get really bad, it's best to just go along with it."

"That's right, after all."

"That's the way it is. I understand your feelings, but please bear with it."

'I understand."

Apparently convinced by Schneizel's opinion, Vasel backed down.

"Let's go to the council".

At an essential base in the Kingdom of Meltor, in the country of Métrole.

Isaac, the general of the Kingdom of Meltor, was looking far into the distance toward the fortress city of Ausstadt.

Beside him was his second-in-command, a man named Fierro, and one more man --- dressed like a clown and wearing a black mask.

'Well, it's always great to see the intimidating presence of a large army, isn't it, hmm?'

The masked clown, Arjano, smiles goofily. He was peering down from the outer wall of the base.

Lined up there was an army so large that it filled the horizon. The number of people that Meltor was able to mobilize was at the very limit of what was possible.

All of them are here to invade the Kingdom of Arcadia. The tens of thousands of troops who are allowing themselves to be hurt and killed by the enemy, just by being there, emanate an overwhelming atmosphere.

Human karma that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years. Looking down at them, Argiano's mouth hangs open in a somewhat mocking manner.

"Oh, my dear, "

"Shut up, clown. Don't open your vulgar mouth in front of his Excellency".

Isaac's second in command, Fierro, glared sharply at Argiano.

"He was trying to pick a fight with me, right? Yeah, right?"

"What do you call it if it is?"

'Well, it's nothing, but...'I just feel like you're pissed at me, that's all."

"You son of a bitch."

'Fierro!"

"But..."

'It's only with this man's help that we're going to invade".

"Damn. You ------ have saved your life, you bastard."

Fierro, condemned by his beloved Lord, reluctantly backs down. Argiano, who was watching the whole scene, only smirked and laughed.

There is a big reason why Argiano is not blamed by anyone.

Despite this jokey outfit and jokey attitude, it was Argiano, of all people, who helped Mertor conclude temporary peace negotiations with the enemy.

After that, he cooperated with Mertor in many ways, and as a result, the invasion was possible at such an early stage.

---A few hours later, the Royal Army of Mertor crossed the border and began its invasion of Arcadia.
