Win!

------

"Norwin, you can win! The next one is weaker than  you."

With the match between the four best competitors just around the corner, I headed to the waiting room with my friends cheering me on.

This time, the opponent seemed to be good enough to win with just a spear.

The mountain they were in was fortunately devoid of any championship contenders, so even with his level of ability, he was able to make it this far.

"Phew."

I arrived at the waiting room, which I had already been through many times, and sat down on a chair to wait for the time to pass.

I finally made it this close.

In the top event of the young generation, including those up to the age of 10, I was able to remain in the top four. And I would almost certainly advance to the finals.

At the very least, a runner-up finish. I never thought I could make it this far at the age of six.

Which of Lucy and Lieselotte would win?

Both of them are unbelievably strong, but as far as I'm concerned, Lieselotte is still better.

I mean, Lieselotte is unreasonably strong, but I don't feel the same sense of isolation as Lucy.

Lucy is by far the most mysterious.

'It's time."

I nodded at the voice of the attendant in the waiting room and slowly stood up.

I opened the door leading to the arena and made my way through the dimly lit players' corridor.

I wonder how many times I've passed through here already.

The first time I came here, I was excited, and then I felt a slight sense of fear and nervousness. But now I just feel uneasy.

  Lucy or Lieselotte.

My legs felt heavy like lead when I thought that there was someone much stronger than me beyond the top four.

I had to get myself together. It's for Crescencia's sake. Put on a bit of a show here, get some results, and raise the status and value of my character, right?

Otherwise, I won't even be able to approach Crecencia.

Determined, I climbed into the arena with my chest out.

The crowd roared with cheers. Most of them were cheering for me.

The first, second, and third rounds of the preliminaries and finals, the eight strong, and now.

Every time I won, the number of voices cheering for me increased. I guess this is also something I have built up.

If I win, I go to the top. If I lose, I fall.

 It's easy to understand.

My opponents who came up to the arena from the opposite side seemed to fear me as much as the previous competitors.

From their point of view, inferior to Raymond and Saraswati, I was younger but overwhelmingly superior.

They probably had no chance of winning.

I waited for the match to start, and slowly worked up my magic.

The original magic given to me by Haiyan will be my trump card, so it is better to show some of my other skills.

You wouldn't expect me to learn new techniques in such a short period of time. I will take advantage of that perception.

"Let the match begin!"

At the same time as the signal, he activates his body reinforcement and closes the gap at full speed.

It was as if he was a fierce competitor who had won this far in the tournament. The opponent quickly took a defensive stance, but was knocked out of position by the strong winds of wind magic from behind his defense.

Then, without mercy, the spear thrust into the opponent's body.

'Damn!"

Even after being knocked off balance by the wind, the opponent twisted to dodge the spear. While inwardly praising his persistence, I laughed.

I knew I had won when I let the enemy concentrate on evading.

'Hey!"

I used earth magic to block his feet, and when his movements were blocked, I swung my spear at him with a sideways swipe.

The opponent received a powerful blow to the side of the head, and the player staggered on the spot, and after a further blow, he collapsed without a second thought.

 ---Really, it's that easy.

A genius or a hard worker could easily win. Even so, he was still one of the top four, so there was no way he was weak.

"It's a win situation! The winner, Norwin von Endenberg!"

In just a year and a half, he has become this strong, but he still has a long way to go. Geniuses really are irrational people.

On my way back to the guest of honor's seat after the match, I was approached by Lieselotte, who was leaning against the wall by herself.

'Are you still angry with me, ?"

'I'm not, and even if I were, I wouldn't be able to tell you this . So don't worry about it and talk to me."

The actual fact is that it is still mad, but the other party is the princess. The third son of a baroness is not going to be able to stand up to her even a little bit.

"I'll talk as I wish then.'

Lieselotte, laughing and wondering what she liked about my answer, declared war on me.

"Wait for me at the final ahead ."

A confident look on her face. Even though she was going to fight Lucy, this princess didn't seem to have the slightest idea of her own defeat.

Well, I admit I'm that strong, but...

If I keep my eyes on the finals, Lucy will catch me off guard, right?

Of course she' s paying attention to her. If it's a simple matter of strength, she's better than you, isn't she?

"That's right," She' s really strong."

"I know."

 I know, huh?

I don't know how strong Lucy is.

Ever since I won my first duel, I've never once made Lucy take me seriously.

The reason I was able to win that time was largely due to the first time I beat her. In a real fight, I wouldn't have even a chance in hell of winning.

A year has passed since then, and I am sure that the genius has grown incredibly.

Is that ceiling really high enough for Lieselotte to reach?

At this point, the amount of presence, or rather, the sense of the limit of strength that can be sensed from the atmosphere is slightly greater than Lieselotte's.

But, yes. Even so, I think Lucy would win.

I guess she realized my feelings inside.

Lieselotte made a face of disapproval and walked toward the waiting room.

"You seem to be mistaken, but I won't lose. If it were that easy, I wouldn't have to go through all this trouble."

"Lucy is no different. That's why I'm sure it will be a fun match."

I see. Then you can look forward to it. Let's show her something good."

With a strong back to me, Lieselotte turned the opposite corner and disappeared.

And then, a few dozen minutes later.

In the arena, Lucy and Lieselotte were facing each other.
